______Setting________

It was the first day of summer vacation. Percy and Annabeth had just finished their senior year and were packing for camp. Annabeth had been staying with Percy and Sally in their little apartment. 

Annabeth's POV

As Percy and I were packing the last of our stuff, a smell that could only be Sally's cookies wafted into Percy's room. We shared a look then both sprinted towards the kitchen. I arrived first and grabbed the blue cookie on top of the stack triumphantly.

Percy laughed and took one seconds after I did. Sally was standing there in her apron, covered in flour. She was smiling and had the twinkle in her eye that mothers get.

"Hey Sally!" I said. Sally was basically my mom after all.

"Hello Honey. Are you guys done packing? We should head out for camp soon." She had a point.

"I'm done, not so sure about Perc though."

"Lost your faith in me already?" Percy said jokingly. "I'm done too, mom. We can head out whenever you're ready."

"I just need to change real quick. Help yourself to the cookies, Paul and I can't eat them all!" Sally left as Percy and I decided to follow her advise and eat as many cookies as we could and then some.

When Sally came back we loaded up the car and started to head out to camp. The drive was short, seeing as we were already in Manhattan. With some awkward mom conversations, we got to Camp Half Blood in only about half an hour. We saw plenty of our friends waiting there for us. Jason, Leo, and the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. That girl, who always took my breath away. That girl who always made me feel like the butterflies in my stomach were going to explode out of me. That girl who made me feel like I was going to choke on my own heart beat. That girl, Piper Mclean.
