Welcome to space

The four of you walk into the street watching as the fear and chaos spreads everywhere. Sirens wailing around you. You hold onto Tonys hand, as you follow right behind him.

"You don't have an extra suit with you do you?" You ask nervously..

"Sorry just the one.."

"Alright then.. this will have to do" you sigh. As you close your eyes conjuring yourself a suit.

Stephen stops up for a second looking at you.

"We've got a lot of catching up to do.. but now might not be the time" you chuckle awkwardly.

"Right" he smirks.

"Wait you two know each other?" Tony asks, as a large piece of metal comes flying through the sky.. "Right not the time.. You might want to put that time stone in your back pocket doc!" Tony yells.

"I might want to use it" Stephen says. As he conjures a shield out of magic.

You had no time to ask questions right now.. if what you think is true.. there's not really enough time in the world right now.

You make your way through the city. As you look up. A ring formed spaceship right in the middle of New York. They were already here.

"Friday Evac anyone south of 43ts street, notify first responders" Tony yells out.

"Will do boss"

Stephen uses his shield to form a protection around the spacecraft. You look at him with your mouth wide open.. Stephen catches you starting, as he smiles winking at you.

You nod your head as you turn around, trying to hide just a tiny bit of how impressive that was.

"Alright Tony now would be a good time to suit up" you say casually.

"I'm one step ahead of you" he smirks, as he pulls down to elastic bands on his shirt. Tapping gently on his chest piece. That bastard finally perfected his nanotechnology suit, and you weren't even there to help him.

The same blue light you saw earlier teleports two of the creatures down onto the street. You hiss behind Wong, scared of what they'll do to you if they recognize you.

The man repeats the same speech as earlier.. and after what happened before you know this isn't going to end well.

Tony it's just me.. that's one of the things from before.. I can't do that again

You're in my head right now.. I'm not loving that.

Please just don't make me fight right now.

It's fine y/n just stay back..

"Wong keep an eye on her.. make sure she doesn't faint" Tony says quietly.

"I've got her" Wong says softly, as he creates a barrier around you.

Strange and Tony walks towards them. As the man keeps on repeating the same old terrifying speech.

"I'm sorry but earth is closed today!" Tony calls out."you better pack it up and get outta here now!"

"Stonekeeper, does this chattering animal speak for you?" He asks mockingly.

"Certainly not I speak for myself" Stephen hisses, as he steps forward wielding his magic. "You're trespassing in this city and on this planet"

"It means get lost squidward!"

You can't help but chuckle at Tony's remarks, you never noticed it until now but he does strangely enough resemble squid-ward down to the t.

The other creature runs towards Tony and Stephen.

"Wong get her out of here!" Tony yells.

Wong quickly opens up a portal taking you to another end of the town. Shutting it before you can say anything. Yes you didn't want to fight. But what use were you here. But not even a few moments later Tony crashes against a tree just beside you.

You run to his side, helping him up.

"Are you alright?" You ask.

"Totally fine" he groans. "Never been better actually" he grins. Tony flies off quickly again leaving you alone im the park.

"Alright then.." you sigh. "Go get them!" You yell.

Suddenly another portals open just underneath you, causing you to fall right through it. You try holding onto the ground. But something is pulling you upwards. You feel your fingers slide dither and further down. Until you can't hold on any longer. You're getting sucked up by the blue light they came down from..

"Tony!" You scream as you get pulled in. Just beneath you you spot Stephen. At least you weren't alone.

You land on the cold ground, as you look around. Quickly seeking hiding behind a device you're not even gonna try guessing what is. From your spot you can see. Through a window watching as the darkness consumes the space craft.. guess you're not on earth anymore. Squidward walks right past you, dragging Stephens body along with him. Tying his hands and feet, as he sends him floating up into the air, sharp glass like needles surrounding him.

Stephen.. wake up

There's no response.

STEPHEN

How are you doing this?

Like I said we have a lot to discuss.. I'm here on the ship with you.. okay just don't panic

Why should I panic.

Open your eyes Stephen.

Stephen gasps as he realizes where he is.

The weird creature talks as the needles pokes through Stephens skin. You want to help him.. but you have no idea how.. You keep laying out different scenarios in your head. But hearing Stephen groans get louder you just do something.

You cast hundreds of illusions of yourself scattered across the room. The creature turns around confusedly looking around.

"Ahh so you're the one to blame for all this mess" he growls.. "guess I should have killed you when I had the chance"

"Yeah sorry.. not today" you hiss. As you conjure a blade throwing at against him. He looks down at the blade stuck in his chest, and pulls it out without flinching.

He sends a piece of metal flying towards one of the illusions, as it dissolves.

"Not me" you chuckle.

Suddenly you spot Tony as he blast a hole through the wall. Sucking the creature out into the open void of space. Causing you and Stephen to get sucked along with him. Tony sweeps in and catches you. As the kid grabs onto Stephen. Tony puts you down safely before closing the hole with ice.

You turn to look up at him. "You brought the kid?" You ask confusedly.

"Hi" he says warmly, waving his hand.

"Technically I didn't bring him, he just kinda followed us here" Tony corrects you.

"Well I'm glad he did.. thank you kid" you smile.

"I'm Peter by the way.. we met shortly a while back.. big fan of how you don't die and create a lot of you's" he says.

"Thanks.. I'm-"

"Y/n" he says before you can finish. "I know. Mr stark talks about you aaaalll the time-"

"That's enough Kid thanks" Tony scoffs.

Stephen grunts, as he tries to sit up. You rush to his side giving him a hand. "That was brave what you did back there" he says softly.

"Don't worry about it.. I owed you that" you smile.

"We need to turn this thing around" Stephen exclaims.

"Great how do you propose we do that?" Tony scoffs. "Cause I'm listening.. we're in a flying donut in outer space with no backup"

"Im backup" Peter smiles.

"Not now kid"

"Is there any way we can control it?" You ask, looking around the ship for any sign of a control panel or something useful. But it seems it's going on autopilot.. the destination, you have no clue.

Tony walks around in silence.. when not even he knows you're screwed.

"Stark!" Stephen says softly. "Can you get us home?"

"I'm not so sure we should go home" tony says.

"What?" You ask confusedly. "We need to warn to the others.. you saw what he did!"

"If we bring the fight to him.. he won't see us coming"

"I don't think you understand just how powerful he is Tony. He took out Thor with one hit.. we're not match for him" you explain.

"It's worth a try" tony sighs..

"I think he's right" Stephen adds. "We go to him.. suprise him.. that way we at least stand just an ounce of a chance"

You sit down, resting your head in your hands. This wasn't happening. Truly it had to be some twisted nightmare you were living, and any minute now your were gonna wake up.

"Just know this stark.. If it comes to saving you.. the kid.. or the time stone.. I will not hesitate to let either of you die" Stephen says coldly.

Tony looks up at him, with an annoyed look in his eyes.

"I have to, because the universe depends on it"

"Nice.. good moral compass" Tony scoffs as he pays his arm.. Walking away from him, towards Peter. "Alright kid" he sighs.. "you're an avenger now" he says as he shakes his hand.

Peter looks at you, with a proud smile. As he tries to hide his excitement.

Tony and Peter takes a walk around the shop, trying to find any clues.. some coordinates, that might let you know where you're going.

Stephen sits down beside you, it's the first time you get a moment alone with him. You look up at him, your heat beats violently in your chest. He doesn't say a word.

"You're probably confused" you say quietly.

"A tad.. so you're an avenger?" He asks.

"I wasn't even sure there's was a thing called an avenger anymore" you claim. "And you're what a wizard now?" You chuckle.

"Master of the mystical arts" he corrects you.

"Ahh.." you scoff. "What not enough money in surgery?" You tear him.

He looks sadly down at his hands.. you hadn't even noticed the scars all over his hands. You take his hand into yours, running your fingers over them.

"What happened?" You ask softly.

"A car crash.. it was a wake up call.. It reminded me of someone I once knew.. she had lost everything, and somehow she found a way to make every day count" he smiles.

"Yeah.. if you find her please let me know" you scoff.

"You haven't found a solution yet I take it"

You shake your head looking down at the ground.

"I found out what happened.. but still no idea how to fix it.."

Be nods his head understandingly.

"You never came back" he finally says.

"I did actually.. but I saw you with some woman.. you looked happy.. I knew I could never give you that.. so I just walked away again" you explain.. feeling the amount of regret you had that night. "Suddenly I was reunited with all of my past.. and I've just recently come to terms with it.. but now it all gone again"

"What do you mean?"

"Thanos.. He killed the love of my life.. or at least I think he did.. and my childhood friend along with him.." you say quietly. "Every time I think things are going my way something like this happens you know"

"Im really sorry.."

"Yeah well.. no time to mourn"

"It's really good to see you again y/n.." Stephen smiles, taking your hand into his.

"How long has it been? Ten years?" You chuckle. "Feels like it was yesterday.. guess that's what happens when you've lived this long.. time just seems to loose all meaning" you shrug.

"Yeah I'm sorry I couldn't help you"

"You did help me Stephen.." you assure him. "Im really proud of you.. Still a tad over your head, but guess I've got a thing for that" you chuckle as you look over at stark.

"Stark? Really?"

You nod your head.

"Wow didn't see that coming" he grins.

"It was back in 91.. so yeah"

There's a moment of silence where you just sit quietly looking at one another. Ten years and he still made you feel safe. Stephen pads you on the shoulder before walking off. You sit alone with your thoughts for a while. And for the first time you get the time to actually think about everything that happened. All the sounds an voices quiet down, as you look into the dark open space.

Tony turns to look at you, noticing your absence.He smiles softly as he sits down beside you, wrapping his arm around you.

"You're alright?" He asks softly, but he already knows the answer.

"I'm fine tony" you lie, you can bother to look up at him..

"He might not be-"

"Don't please" you say firmly. "Don't get my hopes up Tony.. it only breeds eternal misery"

"Did you find anything back on Asgard? Regarding your family?" Tony asks hoping to hear some good news.

"My biological mother was murdered because of me.. Heimdall, Thor and Loki were the only family I had left on Asgard.. and they're all probably dead" you say coldly, without any sign of sentiment in your voice. "And the avengers.. we don't even exist anymore"

"Are you sure you're up for this y/n.. there's no shame in turning down a fight" Tony assures you.

"I'm fine Tony alright?!" You hiss angrily. "All I want is for Thanos to suffer for the things he did.. even if I have to rip his heart out from his chest.. and if it doesn't succeed.. then what more do I have to loose."

Tony lifts your chin up, forcing you to look at him. "You still have me.. I'm your family too y/n" Tony says softly. "I'm sure we'll get home.."

"I hope you're right."

You hold onto his hand as you stare onto the darkness. When suddenly a planet closes in.

"Tony!" You say quietly.

"Yeah?"

"Tony look!" You say with fear in your voice.

Tony quickly sits up. Running to the window, looking as you're nearing the planet in a fast pace.

"Alright doc, if you've got any trucks up your sleeve now might be a really good time" he says sacred.

"We can't stop it.. it's to late.. but I can ease the landing" Stephen says. Creating a shield around you. "Everyone find something to hold onto" he yells.

You feel the hard ground beneath you, as the ship breaks in two, crashing hardly against the ground beneath you.
