"Just focus my dear, you can do it"

You close your eyes, picturing Lokis cell around you. Breathing in slowly as you feel your body tingle.

"Open your eyes" Frigga whispers.

She holds you hand, and as soon as you shut open your eyes, you're standing right behind him alongside with Frigga.

"My boy, you have a visitor" Frigga calls out, her voice soft like butter.

"How kind of you" he scoffs as he turns around.

Lokis face lights up as he sees you. Frigga notices and smiles. He quickly shakes it off, retuning to his sad life hating expression

"Are you enjoying the books I brought you?"

You stand quietly watching him, all you want to do is hold him. Yet you can't.

"Is that how I am to while away eternity? Reading?" Loki scoffs dissatisfied. Which each step he takes towards you, you take one back.

"Y/n and I have done everything to make you as comfortable, Loki. She even requested to come say hello"

"Did you really?" He groans. "Does Odin share your concern?" he questions leaning towards you. "Does Thor?"

"You know he does" you say quietly.

"It must be so tiring, them asking for me day and night" Loki says sarcastically, rolling his eyes. "You're a free woman now y/n.. go waste your time on someone else"

You know he's just upset, that this is only the pain speaking. If only he knew what sacrifices laid ahead of you.

"Loki you know full well it was your actions that brought you here.. do not blame your father or brother. And do not blame y/n" Frigga sighs gently.

"My actions" Loki grins darkly. "I was merely trying to take back what was taken from me.. Giving truth to the lies I've been fed my entire life" Loki smirks. "That I was born to be a king.."

"There are other ways to gain what's been lost Loki"

You stand in silence watching at mother and son argue. You wish you could calm him down, that you could do anything for him. But you're not really there, and part of you thinks he knows that.

"What of the lives you took on earth?"

"A mere handful compared to the number Odin has taken.. just ask y/n.. " Loki shouts. "oh right she doesn't remember" Loki furrows his brow.

"Your fath-"

"HES NOT MY FATHER" Loki screams.

You flinch as his words cut through the air like a knife.

"Then am I not you mother?" Frigga asks, her voice breaking as she speaks.

Lokis gaze softens, then he takes a deep breath. "No.." Loki says coldly. "You're not"

Frigga chuckles, trying to hold back her tears.

"Then what about me?" You step forward.

"you're not my friend y/n.. god we were barely lovers..you just love a lost cause don't you? Fixing the dammed?" he growls. "That's what I am right your next charity case?"

"You always have to do this don't you?" You whimper. "Push the people that show you love away?.. You could have everything you ever wanted. If you just dared to have faith in yourself... In me"

Loki reaches out his hand to touch you. As you dissolve in front of him. Watching as he slowly realize you weren't really there.

Then you're right back in Friggas chamber, breaking down onto the floor, not able to hold your tears back any longer.

Frigga bows down beside you holding you close. Stroking your hair gently, comforting in a way only a loving mother can do.

"My lady are you alright?" Thor storms into the room, kneeling before you.

"Your brother has taken quite a toll on dear y/n's heart"

"She still sees the good in him.. why indulge him with visits he does not deserve" Thor wonders as he grabs a hold of your hand. "Loki is not the man you once knew"

"Neither are you" you sob as you look up at him. "I still love you don't I?"

"Thor, you and your father cast large shadows, perhaps y/n can help him find some sun for himself" Frigga smiles as she holds you.

"I admire your optimism Mother.. and yours as well y/n.. but my brother is there for a reason I see that now.. you should do the same" Thor says, as he helps you up from the ground.

"I will not do such a thing.. If you still require my help, I ask you for one thing in return."

"I'm listening"

"Help me save Loki from the darkness"

Thor looks down at the ground.

"If you do that, I will help you save your Jane"

"You have my word" Thor says, reaching out his hand.

You smile at Frigga as you shake it.

"Well I would surely like to meet this woman" Frigga chuckles.

Thor nods his head, going down to get her. Once he returns he has a worried look on his face.

"Thor?"

"There's been a break in by the cells. Loki is safe. It's nothing to fear. Keep Jane safe okay?"

"You're a terrible liar" Frigga shrugs, but welcomes Jane kindly.

"I'll come to you once it's safe" Thor assures her.

"Take care of your father alright" she smiles worriedly.

Thor nods his head, as he rushes out her chamber. Locking the door.

Jane, Frigga and you spend the time together, talking. You had very little in common with her, except the love you both shared for Thor. She was perfect for him, clever and challenging, exactly what he needed.

You can't help but worry as the sound of screams, and shots fire around you. You turn over to look through the window, watching as aircrafts flies through the sky, flying directly into the palace. The entire ground shakes.

Suddenly the door to Friggas chamber shuts open. And a tall figure walks in. The expression on Friggas face clearly shiftes. As she covers you and Jane behind her. She grabs a sword walking slowly towards him.

"Stay here girls and don't move" she smiles kindly to calm you down.

You do as she says, grabbing onto Janes arm, standing as still as you can, barely breathing.

"Stand down, creature. And you may still survive this" her voice is dark and eerie. In a way you've never heard before.

"I have survived worse, what do I have to fear?" He growls. His voice sound inhumane.

"Who are you?"

"I am Malekith, and I'm here to take what is mine"

The man like creature turns to look at Jane. He wants what's inside of her. She panics and runs to hide.

"Keep her safe y/n" Frigga shouts, as she draws the first blade.

You've never been so conflicted in your life, save the love of Thor. Or the only thing keeping Loki and Thor connected. You could easily step between them and assure Frigga wouldn't get hurt, you wouldn't die anyway. But Jane is already weak, barely standing on her own to feet, on hit and she would crumble.

You turn to Jane running after her, when you hear a loud scream. As you look back Frigga is being held by the throat of what appears to be a dark elf.

"Stay right here" you demand. As you grab a sword running back towards Frigga.

You focus all you can closing off everything surrounding you, you could do this. If you could picture it, you should be able to do it.

As you conjure an illusion of yourself right behind Malekith. Frigga looks at you with fright in her eyes.

"I have what you want.. kill me and let her go" you whimper quietly.

The Dark elf slowly puts Frigga down, as Malekith turns to you. Reaching out his hand to touch you, you dissolve. Stabbing him in the back with a dagger.

"Witch" he screams, and with one hit, sends you through the room crashing to the ground.

"Where is the Aether?" He asks turning to Frigga. Who's once again being held back by the Dark elf.

"I'll never tell you" Frigga chokes.

You struggle to get up on your feet, if you could just switch you places.

Think. Think. Think.

With the remaining energy you have, you get up on your feet, sneaking up behind the dark Elf, stabbing him directly through the heart. As he falls back.

Malekith smirks as he looks into your eyes. Then he grabs his sword. In one swift motion you trade places with Frigga as you feel the Blade push through your skin.

"You are the sun y/n.. show my boy the light" she whispers.

You groan in pain as you fall to the floor.

"NO" you hear Thor's scream as he conjures the biggest lightning bolt you have ever seen. Striking them both out in one sweep.

You look up from the ground watching as Thor wields Mjolnir against them sending them over the edge of the balcony.

It's like everything around you moves in slow motion, as the pain sinks into your abdomen, you're bleeding heavily, only to realize the blade is still inside of you. And along with it Frigga.

The blade went right through you, and into her as well. You're efforts had been for nothing.

Odin walks in watching as the aftermath of the battle is happening right in front of him.

"Frigga?" You whimper quietly.

"Please say something" you beg.

"God please just anything" you cry out as you breathing becomes heavier.

"Thor?" You sob.. "is she?"

Thor slowly nods his head, as he kneels down before you taking your hand. "This is going to hurt y/n, so take my hand" he Whispers.

You nod your head, as you grab onto him. It's like you're reliving the pain all over again as he removes the blade from your abdomen. As soon as it's out you turn over to look at Frigga.

Thor Takes you into his arms, carrying you away. While you sob uncontrollably. Watching as Odin kneels before his dead wife, holding her in his arms. You've never seen the man cry before. As he strokes her cheek.

Thor doesn't say a word, he simply carries you down to you room, sending a request for the maid to come help you undress and shower. You're covered in blood, most of it isn't even your own. All you can do is lay completely frozen. She helps you scrub all the blood of you, as you let your head under the water.

The same night they hold the most beautiful funeral for her. Sending her off to Valhalla, where she will live in piece. You can't stay there, you've never felt so guilty before, wondering if you could have done more. If there had been any way to stop this from happening.

You stand next to Thor, as they set the boats of the death soldiers on fire. Watching as they float up into the sky, dissolving into a million shooting stars finding their way back home.

You let go of his hand, making your way out of the crowd. You need to see him. You need to be the one telling him.

You walk down through the halls of the prison. Watching the ruins of the battle. You reach Lokis cell, he's sitting quietly reading a book.

"Loki"

He closes his book looking down at you.

"Another illusion?" He scoffs.

"No.. no more illusions" you say quietly.

"Then what are you here for?" He growls angrily.

You put you hand up against the energy field just close enough you can feel the magic keeping you out.

"I'm so sorry Lo.. it's you mother" you whimper. "I did everything I could.. but -"

"Say no more"

"But-"

"I said say no more!" He yells at you. "Leave me be" he demands.

"Lo-"

"I don't want you here leave" he screams.

You take a deep breath turning around. Remembering the last thing Frigga said to you, like she knew she wasn't going to make it.

You are the sun.. show my boy the light..

Then you turn around.

"No" you shout.

"No?" Loki growls angrily.

"I'm not leaving, you may believe you have to do this alone, but you don't.. not anymore" you say, taking a step closer towards him. "Look me in the eyes and tell me you don't love me.. and I'll go"

"I don't" he scoffs.

"That's not what I told you to say Loki"

You cross your arms, waiting for him to answer.

"Go on"

"I don't.." Loki stops. "I just need to be alone right now y/n please.. just go" he says softly.

"Fine.. I'll go"
