Stolen memories

Spending hours alone in a cell with Loki wasn't as boring as you might have expected. It included lots of jokes, sexual tension, and escape plans that are absolutely terrible.

"I have a plan"

You start laughing, sitting slowly up from the bed looking back down at him, he's resting his head against the bed where you're sitting. You nod your head back and forth. This was the seventh plan he had proposed the last hour. One crazier than the other.

"Do you now?" You chuckle, rubbing your lips together while nodding your head.

"If you distract Thor by crying about something ridiculous like you normally do, I might be able to find a way out" he says excitedly.

You start laughing again, letting your head hit the pillow again.

"It's a good plan"

"It's a terrible plan"

"Why don't you come up with one then?" He proposes.

"Oh I have a plan, wait till Odín sends me back to earth, and let you rot in here till you die" you smile sarcastically

"I hate you"

Loki pushes you down from the bed, as you fall onto him. You look up at him, and just like that you just can't hold your laughter back, you close your eyes unable to look at him without smiling like crazy.

"Open your eyes" he says softly.

You can't stop laughing, like you've taken some kind of drug. You shake your head.

"I said open your eyes" Loki says demandingly, cupping your face.

You open one eye peeking up at him. You feel so... so flustered when he looks at you. Those enchanting eyes, it's difficult to keep yourself grounded when you look into them. He makes you feel like floating.

"Both of them"

You sigh jokingly, forcing both your eyes open with your fingers.

"Satisfied?"

"Very much" he smirks.

You roll your eyes, sitting up next to him. Resting your head on his shoulder.

"We're gonna get out of here you know.. both of us"

"Don't y/n" he stops you, the way his voice changes, sends a sharp pain through your body.

"Don't what?.. have hope?" You say as you look up at him. He keeps starring into the same wall he's been looking at the past hour.

"It's better to keep your expectations down.. that way you'll never get disappointed" he says, his voice cracks as he talks.

"Frigga will change his mind.. Thor wi-"

"I said don't y/n" Loki shouts.

You flinch moving away from him. You didn't mean to get scared, but he has a side to him you can't help but fear. The same side that was brought out with the mind stone. It's always been inside of him, and however much you want to wish it was just mind control. You know there's some truth behind it. But that was the beautiful part about Loki and you.. the truth in your heart that this love would last forever.

There was for you...

Lokis expression softens as he realizes he scared you. He reaches out his hand, resting it against your cheek. "I'm sorry" he says very quietly, like a small breeze against your ear.

He's never apologized before. No matter how badly he messed up he couldn't bare to apologize. Loose face.

"It's okay, just don't yell at me okay?" You say softly. "I'm on your side here alright?.."

He nods his head slowly.

"Can I try something?" He asks

"What?"

"Can I?" He asks again.

You nod your head.

He reaches out his other hand pulling you closer towards him, at first you hope he might kiss you. But he simply rests his forehead against yours allowing himself into your memories.

At first it hurts, like a sharp needle through both of your temples, penetrating your mind. Then the pain is replaced by a soothing cold sensation running through your body.

Watching as Your entire life is played out in front of you. As crystal clear as if you were reliving it all over, but watching yourself from the outside. You see a tall blonde woman handing you over to your mother. As she cries uncontrollably.

"His coming for me and Sigyn.. Take care of her for me, and whatever you do don't tell her about me"

"Lady Freya, will she not have have questions?"

"You will tell her what she needs to know, that you are her mother, and that you love her deeply. You will give her a name and the mother she deserves"

"I will do my very best Freya, she will be safe"

"Thank you Idunn"

You watch as you mother tries her very best, giving you a loving home. Your first meeting with the princes.

"What's your name?"

"My name?"

"Is she deaf brother?"

"No my prince, my name is y/n"

"Can you ride a horse?"

"I'm the best"

"Wanna bet on it?"

"Oh it would be my pleasure"

You feel a warm sensation as you see Thor and Loki as kids once again. How they opened up their arms to you, though they had no obligation to.

Then suddenly he opens up for something you had long forgotten, like it had been erased from your mind. Written out of your story. A sharp stabbing pain Makes you scream out in pain, but you don't want him to stop, it's like his digging up your lost memories.

"Mama look what I can do"

"Don't ever do that again! Do you understand me?"

"I just saw inside your head mama, i can even be in two places at the same time look"

"Stop it now"

"Mama you're hurting me"

"Look at me y/n. Don't ever practice that kind of witchcraft again, you'll get yourself killed or worse"

"But I didn't mean to do it mama"

You eyes begin to water, you've had your powers all this time, you just never knew it till now... you weren't going crazy, they came from your mother. Your biological mother..

Then you see your mother dragging you inside. Yelling and screaming at you, as tears run down your face.

"What did I tell you about sneaking into the palace?"

"I mustn't"

"Then why can't you just listen, do you know what could have happened if the king saw you?"

"He would be very upset with me"

"That's right, you cannot play in the palace. The king is very angry with our family as it is already"

"But why mother, I only want to play"

"And what happens when he sees your powers?"

"He wouldn't let me stay with you anymore"

"And what would happen if you used it on the princes?"

"They would call me a witch"

Loki quickly passes by the remaining of your childhood, watching as you life passes by you in small glimpses. It's beautiful, unlike anything you've ever felt before. Loki stops at a specific memory. It's you and him standing outside the balcony, you don't remember this night, but you both look so young.

"Do you think I'm beautiful?"

"Beautiful are you kidding me?"

"No?.."

"You make flowers look like weeds, the sunsets look grey, their beauty cannot compare to you. You're are not beautiful y/n, you are far beyond what can be described as beauty"

"You really think so?"

"Use your magic on me, see if I'm lying"

"I'm not supposed too"

"I don't care do it"

"I don't want to hurt you"

"You could never hurt me y/n.. I trust you"

You watch as you and Loki kiss outside in the garden. You forgot about your first kiss.. all just to keep your powers hidden from you. To keep you from him. Then you see that night, the one you know you've forgotten, the one you had longed to know about for years. The pain as he digs up your memory is unbearable, unlike any other pain you've felt before. You're focusing all you can trying to hold it together, but your screams fight to escape.

"Loki stop" Thor growls. Pulling him away from you.

You fall to the floor crying out in pain.

"No... no" you sob violently.

Thor has Loki up against a wall, with a hand around his neck. Loki looks down at you with sad eyes unable to speak.

"Let him go.. he didn't hurt me" you cry out, struggling to get up.

"I saw it, god I heard it.. you were screaming" Thor says terrified as he looks at you.

"Brother" Loki chokes out. "Let.. me. Go"

Thor let's go of his grip, rushing to you side helping you up. Loki coughs uncontrollably, struggling to catch his breath again.

You want to speak but as soon as you open your mouth nothing but whines come out. As you drift away in Thors arms.

"What did you do to her?" Thor shouts. "She came here to help you, and you torture her for fun?"

"You know nothing" Loki hisses in between his troubled breaths. "I was simply showing her what our father took away"

"What?"

"I showed her" Loki shouts.

"You promised you wouldn't" Thor pushes him angrily against the wall again. "We made a promise to mother"

"She deserves to know" Loki growls angrily.

"Boys" you whimper.

"She didn't need to know like that"

"Boys"  you say a little louder.

"Then when did she need to know, when you were sure she wasn't a threat to you precious kingdom, when you had made your mind up whether or not she was a good person?"

"Boys please stop"

"How dare you speak to me in such a manner" Thor growls back at his brother. "I have always protected her. What did you do, kidnap her? Almost kill her by pressuring her?"

"Stop it" you finally get enough power to scream.

Thor backs away, looking at you in disbelief.

"I am a grown woman, I can very well talk on my own behalf thank you very much" you hiss at them.

"My apologies my lady" Thor bows.

"How long have this agreement been affective?" You ask firmly. "Thor?"

"Since our mother gave us our memory of you back" Thor admits, to embarrassed to look you in the eyes.

"You knew about my powers and you didn't tell me?.. I thought I was going crazy" you say angrily looking at Loki. "When we're you planning on telling me?" You say looking at Thor.

"As soon as w-"

"As you knew I wouldn't go Batshit crazy and try taking over your kingdom?" You yell.

"No it's not like that"

"Then what is it like Thor?"

"I just wanted to make sure you were safe" Thor sighs softly.

"I want a meeting with your father"

"Y/n I don't th-" Loki tries interfering.

"I do not remember asking for you opinion right now.. Tell the Allfather I request a new cell for myself as he considers my punishment for being a witch" you say coldly. "Then you can leave Thor"

"Y/n perhaps-"

"I said now Thor!"

"Very well" Thor sighs sadly as he walks away.

You sit in silence until Thor is gone. As a smile grows on your lips, turning around to look at Loki again. He looks at you confused.

"See told you I had a better plan" you smirk.

"What?"

"If the Allfather thinks we're fighting, that I want nothing to do with either of you, he'll let me out. And I can get a way to get both of us out of this hell" you explain satisfied.

"So you're not mad at me?" Loki asks still a bit confused.

"A bit, mostly for lying which I thought we didn't do anymore." you say in a serious way. "But no Loki I'm not mad, you showed what I thought I had lost.. Faith" you smile softly. "You showed me the truth"

"You're crazy you know that right?" Loki chuckles.

"I know.. but it worked" you chuckle happily.
