Chapter 10
11:38, 28 August 2015Taehee's POV
"Tae!" I snapped out of my train of thoughts and looked at Solbi.
"Ah yes?" I asked as she furrowed her eyebrows, wrinkling her forehead. I offered a small smile which she responded with a small concerned smile.
I ate a piece of kimchi and chewed it slowly.
Jimin had a girlfriend.
That thought kept lingering into my mind even when I tried thinking about something else. My heart ached and I hitched a breath.
"Noona are you okay?" Jungkook asked as he noticed the discomfort in my face. I smiled and nodded. "I just feel a little sick." Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows and slowly turned away to face Minji again.
As I looked back at Jimin again I noticed he was sitting with his small group of friends, Taehyung and a few girls including the girl he was hugging was even there.
All the girls there were drop dead gorgeous, especially the girl who Jimin was hugging who was now clinging onto Jimin for her life.
Looking away I noticed Solbi had stopped eating, "Tae are you sure you're alright?"
I cracked a small smile, "I'm okay." She nodded and continued eating.
By the time we were done there was still a few minutes to spare until lunch break was officially over. Minji and Jungkook had already left to go finish some work that they didn't do, leaving Solbi and I alone.
We had decided to spend the rest of our time just lazing around in the school field.
"I'm bored." Solbi whined as we laid in the grass.
I chuckled as I reached out to the blue clear sky, "hey Solbi-ssi," she hummed as a response to she was listening, "honestly why did you want to friends with me? I asked, sitting up.
Solbi closed her eyes, "I wasn't always like this. I was bullied at one point." She paused and covered her face from the sunlight.
"I was bullied for being friends with the most popular boy in my school while I was a nerd. After I moved to this school I changed my looks, I didn't care for anyone else in this school until you walked in and I knew you were like me."
The wind blew my hair and I pushed it behind my ear.
"Being able to be friends with you has been amazing, you're still my friend even if you ignore me." She muttered and changed her position on the grass.
I stayed completely quiet, I was speechless. She had gone through everything I've been through. We both ran away from our problems.
Solbi sat up and pouted "ah come on Tae I don't need a pity party."
"I know you don't Sol." I assured her.
She widened her eyes muttering, "you called me Sol." Her voice full of shock yet happiness. I smiled and nodded.
"We're friends Sol."

I laid down on the couch and rested on my head on a cushion.
Taehyung and Jimin had called me early, informing that they would be home late since they were hanging out with friends. Jungkook on the other hand was doing his homework reluctantly, he apparently was suppose to originally hang out with Minji and her friend today.
There was absolutely nothing to do.
I closed my eyes but immediately opened them as the image of Jimin hugging another a girl kept creeping back into my head.
Jimin had mentioned he had a girlfriend but they broke up, so perhaps he got a new girlfriend.
Quietness filled the house and it seemed emptier than usual without the cheerful presence of the boys.
Groaning, I stood up from the couch and decided to go on a walk.
It was nice and cool outside so there was no point wasting it on doing nothing.
I popped on my shoes and grabbed my keys from the counter in the kitchen. Not forgetting to leave a note for Jimin and Taehyung.
As I grabbed my phone i remembered that I needed to inform Jungkook about my little adventure just in case he thinks something happened to me. I walked to Jungkook's shared room and I could already clearly hear IU's rain drop through the door.
I opened Jungkook's room to see him working hard on his homework. He's face full of frustration and boredom. "Jungkook ah," I called out him. He stiffly turned around to meet my eyes.
"I'm going to go out on a walk, okay?"
Jungkook pouted and tried looking cute, "Noona don't leave me! Help me." He whined as he used an aegyo voice.
"Noona I don't understand any thing!" He whined, shamelessly to me, using more aegyo to try and trick me into doing Jungkook's homework.
Not really caring, I smiled and waved bye to him before shutting the door. Through the door I could hear his miserably groans and moans.
I walked aimlessly into the city.
There was a lot on my plate. After a long arguement I concluded that the girl was indeed Park Jimin's girlfriend or just really close friend.
My heart ached at even the thought of Jimin having a girlfriend.
The only two things I didn't understand was that the fact that Jimin had told me he and his girlfriend broke up. Also I couldn't seem to get why I was so bothered by the fact that Jimin had a girlfriend.
The sky was now mixed with a variety of shades of pink, purple and orange.
The sun was nearly gone and darkness was soon to fall.
I walked by the various shops and didn't even bother to look into the store once. The lights for some stores were going out.
I kicked a small rock on the road.
The rock hit a telephone boot,
"Woof." I flinched as I stared to my side to see a small cardboard box arranged neatly near the alleyway. I walked up closer to it and noticed the small little crying golden retriever in the box.
My heart melted as I saw the helpless, cute, fluffy golden retriever. It stared at me with it's wide eyes, hopefully.
I bit my lower lip and picked up the puppy, "who left such a cute dog here."
My eyes roamed the streets to see no one close by. I held the puppy up in the air as it smiled at me. I sighed, "what do I do?"
The puppy wagged it's tail and licked my face, my cheek to be exact.

Jungkook stared at the puppy in awe.
If was as if the two were having an intense staring contest.
"Noona why did we get a puppy? We already have Jimin, and that's already enough to handle." He said, turning around to meet my eyes.
I rolled my eyes at his remark and flicked him in the forehead, "he's still your hyung."
Jungkook scrunched his nose and averted his eyes back to the now sleeping puppy. He ruffled its fur and smiled warmly at the sight of the puppy.
I smiled and crouched down next to Jungkook. "Cute isn't it?"
He nodded.
Before I could pet the puppy's head it winced and stirred in its sleep. I chuckled at its cuteness and pulled my hand back away.
"What did you want to name the puppy?" I asked, caressing the puppy's honey coloured fur.
"I'm not sure." He shrugged.
The front door creaked open. Jungkook and I looked back at the door. "We're home!" Taehyung cheered as he pulled a smiling Jimin into the lounge room with him. Taehyung smiled as he swung his arms around.
I put my finger on my lip, indicating him to be quieter. He furrowed his eyebrows and tilted his head in confusion.
I pointed at the puppy, both Taehyung and Jimin looked down at the puppy and widened their eyes. They squealed in excitement as they saw the puppy.
"Omo a puppy!" Jimin squealed.
The puppy opened its eyes through all the excitement. Jungkook pushed Jimin's shoulder softly. "Aish Hyung you woke the puppy up." His voice hinted with annoyance. Jimin pouted as the puppy stood up and stared at the four of us.
"Sorry." Jimin muttered as I picked up the puppy in my arms, caressing it softly.
I pulled Jimin's hand towards me and placed the puppy on it. "We still need a name for it." I smiled at him as he smiled back.
Taehyung cringed, "get a room you two. You guys aren't even dating yet but you both act like a married couple with a newly born baby." Jimin and I stiffened at his comment.
I looked away, embarrassed. I felt my cheeks turning red but then I froze immediately as the image of Jimin and that girl flashed in my head again.
Jimin has a girlfriend.
I gave out a stiff chuckle, "don't tease." I could barely now look at Jimin without reminding myself that I can't have any romantic feelings for him.
They stayed quiet for a while, it was difficult choosing the perfect name for a dog. And here I thought it was easy as cutting a piece of cake.
"How about Bubbles?" Jungkook suggested.
Taehyung shook his head, "too common for a dog." Jungkook rolled his eyes.
"How about B?" Taehyung suggested and Jungkook was the one who mocked the name this time. As the two argued I thought hard. The golden retriever was a girl.
"B is a dumb name!"
"Bubbles isn't even a logical name."
"How is B logical!"
"Guys!" I butted in and made them sit back down.
I stared at the little golden retriever licking Jimin's hand like an ice cream cone. That's when the name hit me
"How about Honey?" Jimin and I suggested in unison.
We looked at each other and gave a goofy smile.
Honey woofed in approval and I held it high in the air,
"your name will be Honey."
______________________________________
I woke up the next morning in the lounge room with Honey snuggled up close to me. Her breathing was steady and I moved slowly, making sure I didn't wake her while I headed to the practice room.
Pulling my hair into a high pony tail, I decided to pin my bangs up with the hair clip Hoseok got me.
I walked into the practice room and sat in my normal spot, watching Jimin improving his perfect dancing skills.
At the end of the song I handed him a towel and a water bottle.
The slight brush between our fingertips was enough for the butterflies to come.
Jimin gulped down the whole bottle of water and wiped off all his sweat before sitting down next to me on the floor.
"Is Honey still sleeping?" I nodded and gave out a quiet yawn.
"Are you tired?" I nodded again. Last night Honey kept whining and keeping me awake, I ended up sleeping after she had fallen asleep which was around 3-4am and now it was 6am.
Jimin forcibly took my body, "hey what are you-"
I was cut off when Jimin placed my head on his lap and smiled. "Here you can take a short nap."
I didn't bother arguing, it was nice and comfortable.
Especially when Jimin began caressing my face with his hand. "I like your clip." He commented as he examined the clip closely.
"Hoseok got it for me." Jimin frowned and let go of the clip, "I love the clip so much."
Jimin didn't say anything and continued caressing my face. He was now also drawing pattens on my arm.
All I could think about was how this was all wrong.
He's taken.
But there's hope.
She might just be a friend.
"Jimin," he hummed as a response to he was listening to me. I mustered up all my courage and asked him,
"Who was that girl you were hugging yesterday?"
