Chapter 2

*third person pov*               Miguel and Alexandria ran as fast as their legs would carry them to their spot. They grabbed their guitars and Miguel started yelling at the top of his lungs. "Papa! Papa! It's him! I know who my great great grandpa is!" Alexandria rolled her eyes at his antics      ————————————————————-

             Miguel and Alexandria were both looking shamefully at the ground as their Abuelita threw all their musical items on the ground in front of them. "What is this?!" Abuelita asked in a sharp tone. "Keeping secrets from your own family?" Abuelita said in a hurt tone.              Alexandria has yet to say anything because she was trying to think of something to say. She was usually always one to have something to say but this time she was at a loss for words.            "But papa you said my family will guide me! De La Cruz is my family! I'm supposed to play music!" Miguel yelled. "You will listen to your family! No. More. Music!" Papa yelled back.            Miguel picked up his guitar to play something to try and convince them but Abuelita took his guitar then Alexandria's and smashed them on the ground. Alexandria wanted to cry and scream but she refused to give them the satisfaction.           "You want to end up like that man? Forgotten?!? Left of your family's ofrenda?!?" Abuelita yelled "I don't care if I'm on some stupid ofrenda!" Miguel yelled and then took off running.            Alexandria lifted up her dress a bit and ran after Miguel. As she was running she could head their families please and cries for them to come back but they didn't listen.          Suddenly Miguel stopped, causing Alex Adria to run into him. She was about to yell at him for stopping without warning but then realized why he had stopped in the first place.         The mausoleum where are La Cruz is buried. Miguel then began walking towards it with Alexandria in tow. He smashed to window and he and Alexandria climbed through.        "Dios mío" Alexandria muttered under her breathe when she saw the guitar. Miguel walked up to it and climbed up onto the coffin. "Woah" Miguel said, amazed by the guitar. "Lexi" Miguel asked turning around. "Sì" Alexandria responded. "Keep a lookout, make sure nobody's gonna see us." Miguel said quietly. Alexandria nodded and walked to the window, watching.          Then she turned and saw Miguel with the guitar so she went to stand next to him. She touched the guitar right as he played it. Suddenly marigold flowers swirled around the two.          Then the door opened. Miguel dropped the guitar and Alexandria whipped around. "We're sorry señor! We were-" But Miguel was cut off as the man walked right through the two of them and picked up the guitar. "Theres no one here!" The man said. Miguel looked terrified and then ran. "Miguel! Miguel wait! Please!" Alexandria yelled. She was freaking out as well but managed to keep herself under control.         She then saw Miguel fall into a hole and a skeleton lady helped him up. Skeltons. That's when it processed in her mind. She hadn't been able to see the dead since she got sick when she was 7! She wanted to get excited but right now her brother needed her help.         She started running again when she saw him run and hide behind a tombstone. The she saw him slam into a skeleton and the poor skeleton was smattered everywhere. Alexandria grabbed Miguel to stop him from running away again. "Miguel? Alexandria?" The man said. It was Papa Julio. Alexandria knew that immediately.         Suddenly she and Miguel were in a bone crushing hug. When they pulled back Alexandria smiled because it was Tía Rosita. "Remind me how I know you?" Miguel said to her. "We're your family Mijo" Tía Rosita said. "Tía Rosita?" Miguel said after a moment.         Then came Tía Victoria. Miguel recognized her too. "They don't seem like they're dead." Tía Victoria said. A little girl then ran through Miguel and Alexandria. "They don't seem quite alive either." Tía Rosita said.        "Oye! It's Mamá Imelda!" Said Tío Felipe as he and Oscar came running to the group. "She can't cross over!" Tío Oscar finished. "Oh hey Miguel and Alexandria." Tío Felipe said, then the two gasped realizing what he said.
