Lyra was sitting on the couch as she stared Klaus down, he was staring right back but with a grin.

He liked that his mate was challenging, the minute he stepped out of the box and he felt the burning in his shoulder. He could not have been happier, he was going to be a hybrid later that day and he found his mate after centuries of loneliness.

Greta and Maddox had left them alone, quickly after Klaus gave them a quick glare.

Seeing as he wasn't going to talk, Lyra stood up with a sigh and grabbed a drink while asking "You want one?"

He thought about it and smirked as an idea came to mind. He shrugged while accepting "Sure."

She gave him a tight lipped smile as she poured two drinks and walked over to give him his. The moment she held out her arm to hand it to him, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer while grabbing the drinks and setting them on the table.

She gasped as she found herself suddenly sitting on Klaus's lap, she looked at him wide eyed while putting her hands on his shoulder and exclaiming "What are you doing!"

He just gave her a seductive smirk as he gripped her thighs and shrugged "You wanted to talk about a deal and considering you weren't uttering a word, I thought why not just have my adorable mate close as they try to come up with the words?"

She gave him a glare and started to push against his shoulders, she became frustrated as he didn't let her go and started to yell out "Let me go! I definitely can't talk to you seriously if we are sitting like this!"

He just laughed and loosened his grip, when she finally got out of his grip. She was breathing heavily while glaring down at him and she spat out "Now. Let's-" She stopped to take a breath and continued "Let's talk deals."

Klaus sat up straighter in a 'business' stance while chuckling and holding out a hand as if to say 'Go ahead.'

"You want to break the curse? We'll help you with everything. I have a werewolf and we can just turn a vampire off the street, I have the moonstone as well considering you failed to get that one. But that's partly our fault..."

Klaus raised an eyebrow in suspicion as he assumed "I presume there is something you want in return-"

Lyra stopped him before he could continue "There's more to it. We have a way for Elena to go with the ritual willingly, if you try and force her. She will become a thorn in your side. There's also the thing about your mothers lies."

He just snorted "My mother, Lying? Well that isn't a surprise."

Lyra sighed and continued "The doppelgänger cannot die in the ritual because it will stop you from having your 'hybrid army.'"

His eyes darkened and narrowed while asking "Why should I believe any of this nonsense?"

"Why would your mother give you the means to make more of your kind?" Lyra asked with a 'duh' tone.

Klaus bit his lip and thought about it "Well if u think that I shouldn't force the doppelgänger, not saying I won't, then what do you suggest?"

"Make a deal with her" She slightly rolled her eyes at his muderous intentions "Like have her give you a few blood bags every month and in return, you wouldn't hurt anyone she loved."

Klaus huffed and waved his hand "Okay, okay. Enough about the doppelgänger, what do you want?"

"For helping you with the curse? Katherine's freedom" Lyra stated and when Klaus scoffed while trying to protest, she stopped him "No, no listen! You damned her to 500 years of running and fear just because she was doing the same thing that you have done for a thousand, surviving. You can't keep torturing her for it. You would've have done the exact same thing, if not worse."

"Fine" Klaus gritted out and he couldn't believe he was agreeing, but all her points were right and she could give him what he wanted.

"Fine?" Lyra raised an eyebrow with an expectant look.

Klaus scoffed and looked at her in disbelief, but she remained stubborn. He sighed and gave in "Fine, I accept your deal. Your help in everything in exchange for Katherine's freedom, done. Consider Katherine free."

She smiled and held out her hand, he shook it. Without letting go, she dragged him up and started to bounce towards the door while exclaiming "Come on! For all of this to work, we'll have to head towards the Salvatore house right now!"

"-Tonight is the full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse" Elijah tells Elena, Stefan and Dorian as they all sat in the living room of the Salvatore house.

Stefan leaned forward and mentions "Dorian once revealed that the Sun and the Moon curse is fake? That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus."

Elijah looked to Dorian with a curious expression on how he knew, but nodded "Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it...He'll be a true hybrid."

In walks Damon, who immediately tries to object "Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Bonnie."

Dorian sighs and sits back with an eye roll, how annoying can a person be? Stefan puts a hand on his knee and gives him a look that said 'Patience.'

Elena shook her head "No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying."

Damon walks over to a table and pours a glass of bourbon while giving her a shrug "I'll write her a great eulogy."

"It's not an option, Damon" Elena stated in a tone that said she wouldn't argue over it. This was one of the only decent thing Dorian thought Elena had ever done.

"All right" Stefan chimed in and looked at Elijah "How do we break this curse?"

"Well, the ritual itself is relatively straightforward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know" Elijah stood up and walked past Damon while giving him a side eye.

Dorian nodded "The moonstone."

"A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each."

Elena frowned and furrowed her brows as she asked "And where do I fit into it?"

"The final part of the ritual" Elijah explained as he grabbed a box out of the bookcase "Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelgänger...to the point of your death."

Elena looks down and tries to reach for Stefan's hand in comfort, but he looked at her with a 'really bitch' look and grabbed Dorian's hand instead. Elena looks at them in jealousy, but looks at Elijah "And that's where you come in."

Elijah opens the box to reveal a potion of some sort and he revealed "This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation."

"So I'll be dead?" Elena asked with a look of understanding on her face.

Elijah gave her a small smile "Then you won't."

"That's your plan?" Damon asked Elijah in disbelief "A magical witch potion with no expiration date?" He turned to Elena "You want to come back to life, what about John's ring?"

Elijah shook his head and shot that idea down quickly "Those rings only work on humans. The doppelgänger's a supernatural occurrence. Odds are, the ring won't work."

Damon scoffed "I'll take those odds over your elixir. What if it doesn't work, Elena?"

"Then I guess I'll just be dead" Elena accepted and her answer didn't please Damon. He looked at her in shock and glanced at Stefan to see some sort of protest, but he found none.

"Yet, we'll make sure you won't be" Someone said and everyone's head snapped towards the living room's entrance, there stood an emotionless Lyra.

Dorian stood up with a relieved smile, he was happy to see that she was unharmed and okay. Elijah looked at her with an admiring smile, he didn't want her to be angry with him and now that she's back, he hopes that they can make up.

Damon questioned for Elena "What do you mean by that."

Klaus stepped out beside Lyra with a grin on his face "What it means is that I can't have you dying love."

Elijah steps back in shock and glares at his brother as he demanded "What is the meaning of this?"

Dorian grabs Stefan's hand and slowly pulls him back. Elena starts stepping back while Damon grabs her and pulls her behind him as he narrowed his eyes "Let me guess, Klaus?"

Klaus turns to Lyra and stepped closer with a smile "They aren't as stupid as I had thought."

Lyra rolls her eyes and walked around him while explaining "Before all of you start yelling and trying to harm each other, I'll explain. The reason why Klaus is here is that we have found an alternative which will have everyone get what they want."

Damon scoffed and pointed out "The thing that bad guy over there" He points at Klaus "Wants is Elena dead. That's the complete opposite of what we want."

"Correction. Klaus wants Elena to die and, after some information was shared, he also needs her to come back alive" Lyra corrected him and grabbed the glass of bourbon out of Damon's hand.

Elijah looks at his brother with a suspicious gaze "Is that true?"

"Yes it is. Why do you sound so surprised? It was not me who conspired to kill someone of my own blood" Klaus spat out as he stepped closer to Elijah.

Elijah's gaze hardened and he stepped closer to Niklaus, but Lyra stepped in between them and put a hand on both of their chests "Enough, we will be having no fights right now. We will be talking about an agreement to have everyone get what they want. Both of you sit, now."

Both brothers sat down almost immediately and Dorian stifled a chuckle at how much they looked like puppies, Lyra gave him a warning look as well that shut him up.

Lyra began "As I said, Klaus cannot have Elena dead. So even if the elixir won't work, then me and Dorian have a backup plan for that" She looked at Damon and Elena "You guys have to promise that you won't try to harm Klaus, his hybrids, or his family. In return he will not harm anyone you love, you will also have to give him a few bags of your blood every month or two."

Elena frowns and asks "Why would he need a few bags of my blood every month?"

Klaus spoke up this time as he got comfortable in the chair "Well my and my lovely mate found out that our mother was lying about the curse, if the doppelgänger stays dead then I cannot sire my own species" He looks at Elena "Your blood love, is an important ingredient to the turning of hybrids."

Damon cut in while waving his hand "Excuse me? Your mate? You mean to tell me that not only is Bitchy witch over there, Elijah's mate. She is also your mate? Pff that would be a good reality Tv show."

Lyra looks at him with a raised eyebrow while walking past him towards Dorian "Says the man who had a love triangle with his brother not even a month ago and also had one almost two centuries ago."

He gave her a nasty look while she just gave him a taunting smirk, Elena cut the attention back to her "Stop arguing" She stood up and took a hesitant step towards Klaus "If I do the ritual, I come back and give you a few blood bags every month or 2. You'll leave everyone I love or care about unharmed?"

Klaus looked into her eyes with the most honest look he could give her as he nodded "Yes."

She held out her hand and agreed "I accept that deal."

Klaus grinned at the thought of finally being free and shook her hand with his own. Damon looked at her in shock while exclaiming "Elena!"

She turns to him "If this is what keeps everyone I love safe, then I'll take it Damon. Besides I'll come back."

Lyra leaned towards Dorian and murmured "Elena Gilbert doing something that is actually decent, surprising."

He muttered back "I know, I thought that before too."

They both shared a laugh and snapped back to what was actually happening. Damon huffed in frustration and stormed out of the room.

Klaus laughed and rubbed his hands in excitement, it reminded Lyra of an excited puppy. He turned to her and cheered "Let's get this show on the road!"

She rolled her eyes and tilted her head as she walked towards the exit of the room "Come on. The moonstone is at the house, so is the Werewolf. We'll turn a criminal or something into a vampire and then we'll have everything."

Klaus eagerly followed her. Stefan whispered something in Dorian's ear and they disappeared off to his room. Elena left to follow Damon, leaving a speechless Elijah in the living room.

He frowned and went into the direction of his brother and his mate. They needed to have a talk because all of this was ruining everything, but also making it better? Just confusing.

Lyra walked towards the house with Klaus on her heels and Elijah following shortly behind. She was on a phone call as she opened the door.

"-Can you just make sure nothing happens that will ruin almost everything? I'm afraid your mate will do stupid things when he is upset and if he ruins this, then I'll have to take measures that I don't want to. Thank you, see you later" Lyra speaks furiously into the phone as she walks into the house and hangs up.

Klaus looks at her with furrowed eyebrows and asks "Who was that love?"

"A friend" She stated as she walked towards the bookcase and grabs the moonstone from under a bunch of crystals. She held it up with a smile and was about to hand it over, but a flash grabbed it before she could.

Elijah held it now and looked at it with disinterest as he demanded "Neither of you will get your hands on this until I get what I want, not only from you Niklaus but also from you Elskan."

Klaus pointed at him and warned "Don't be foolish brother."

Lyra could feel the brotherly argument start to brew and it was even possible for it to become physical, so she sighed and took a step back.

"Foolish? How can I be the foolish one when you are suddenly being an entirely different person" Elijah argued while his face slowly turned angry.

Klaus scoffed and laughed as he held out his arms "I thought you would be happy! Me finally being 'Rational' Isn't that what you have always wanted brother?"

"If you are as rational as you claim to be then you would be freeing our siblings right now so they can watch and see you become your true self, like we have always wanted you to be" Elijah hopefully tries to bargain.

Klaus just gave him a humourless chuckle as he pointed out "Oh have you? You conspiring to kill me says otherwise!"

"I believed that you tossed our siblings into the sea, you yourself told me that. I thought I was doing right by our family" Elijah tried to reason, but it didn't seem like he was trying to reason with Klaus. But with himself.

"Apparently I was not apart of 'Our' Family!" Klaus raged as tears started to form in his eyes "I always knew that when the time would come, eventually you would be the one to kill me. You watched as our mother and father bounded my werwolf side, you even helped them! Every time father beat me until I was bloodied on the ground, you watched and left me to be tortured!"

This made Elijah snap "I HAVE NEVER WATCHED YOU SUFFER-"

Klaus cut him off though, replying with frustration and anger "OPEN YOUR RED DOOR ELIJAH! Look into those deep memories that you hid and you will see the pained, but truthful memories" Elijah looked away with closed eyes and Klaus took a calming breath "I will not release our siblings, as long as the threat of our father is out there, I won't. After he is dead, they will be freed and then you can choose if you want to stay or not, I don't care if you rot. As cruel as I am, I will not take away your choice to be with our mate."

Elijah looked more ashamed as ever and Lyra awkwardly interrupted, they both looked at her while she had a phone to her ear "Sorry to break into this brotherly moment, but I believe I have something that both of you want to see."

Klaus took a calming breath as he turned his face away to wipe his tears, when he turned back around he gave her a soft look while asking "What is it love?"

Lyra muttered into the phone "Send the picture" And when her phone went off, she showed it to Klaus and Elijah. It was a picture of Mikeal, he was laying into some sort of crypt with chains surrounding him and he was desiccated.

Both the brothers grew tense and Elijah stepped forward to take the phone while mumbling "That's impossible."

"I'm afraid it is not" a voice came through the phone, it was Katherine. Klaus's soft expression turned into one of anger and Elijah sighed "Hello Elijah, nice to hear that you are out of your box. What do you want me to do with him? Should I bring him to you desiccated and all, or would you rather him rot here until you or Klaus finish the job?"

Klaus grabbed the phone and spoke "Hello Katerina, how in the world did you find our father and why are you offering him to us?"

"You should as your lovely mate, considering she made me come out here and do this. I want nothing from you except my freedom, which Lyra already told me I got" Katherine replied and the two brothers looked to Lyra for an explanation.

She grabbed the phone back and hung up as she started to explain "I am giving you the option to get rid of your father once and for all and in return, after he's dead. Your siblings will be undaggered, my other two mates will be undaggered."

Klaus narrowed his eyes "The last person I thought to blackmail me would've been you love, how do you even know that they are your mates."

"Magic" She vaguely replied "Now deal or not?"

He held up a finger and bargained "When I break my curse, I will go on a trip to make hybrids. You will come with me."

She bit her lip and sighed "Deal."

He grinned and took a step forward "Deal, shall we seal it with a kiss? I heard that's how you seal a deal with a demon."

Elijah stood in front of Lyra to protect her, she just scoffed and stepped away "I don't need you to act like an overprotective boyfriend Elijah. We're not even together, remember?" She turned to Klaus "Me and your brother have unfinished business, why don't you go get the last missing ingredient?"

Klaus frowned and grumbled as he walked out "Not even broke the curse, yet she's already treating me like a dog..."

Lyra crossed her arms and walked over to sit in a chair. She looked at Elijah with no emotions as she raised and eyebrow "Let's talk."

Dorian moans as Stefan pushes him against the wall and starts kissing his neck, he warns "Your brother- Mm, he's in the next room with Elena. Do you really think this is a smart idea?"

"He's heard worse" Stefan shrugs and starts taking off Dorian's shirt, he attacked Dorian''s lips while pushing him back once again as Dorian moved away from the wall a bit.

Dorian was deep in thought as Stefan kissed his stomach and torso, leaving hickeys here and there. He thought out loud "I really have to talk to Caroline soon, I must have made her feel horrible..."

Stefan stopped kissing him and looked at him with a 'seriously' face "You can talk to Caroline later, now less talking and more kissing."

Dorian sighed and pulled Stefan in a kiss. But just as they were starting to get into it, a yell broke them up "Damon!"

They shared a look and quickly put on their shirts as they rushed towards the yell. Stefan pushed the door, but they both stopped at the sight in front of them.

Elena was on the floor staring at Damon, who was being held by the throat and he looked shocked yet sad to see the person who was holding him. That person was Enzo, he looked at Damon with a scary smirk.

"Hello, 'Mate'" Enzo said to Damon in a dark tone as everyone stared at him.
