Chapter 57

******Lauren's POV******

It was about 9 o'clock and I was currently in the shower. I was getting ready to go to the big block party that they always did everyone New Year's Eve. I couldn't stop thinking about the conversation I had with Milika, and I knew I had to tell her.....sooner than later. She had to know that truth. She had to know.

My thoughts were interrupted when I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist. I gasped but calmed down when I felt a gentle kiss on my neck, knowing it was Dinah. "Hey baby" she whispered in my ear as she continued to kiss my neck. "D-Dinah" I groaned, biting my lip as she kissed down to my collarbone. "I want you so bad" she mumbled as she kissed my shoulder.

I turned in her arms and looked into her eyes, "Baby?" This was my chance, tell her Lauren! But the second I looked back up into her sparkling eyes...I couldn't do it. "I love you so much" I said, and I laid my head on her shoulder again. "I love you too darling. And I will no matter what happens happens or not matter what you do. if you're with me or not. If the sun stops shining and the stars leave the sky, I'll still love you".

I can't lose her, I love her so much. We got out the shower and were getting dressed for the block party, I noticed something was up with Dinah. She was sitting on the edge of the bed, and I walked over and sat in her lap. "You okay baby?" I asked as I wrapped my arms around her neck. "I'm fine baby" she said while kissing my cheek. "Good, now get dressed so we can go turn up baby girl".

We walked downstairs to see that almost everyone was already out there. "Wow, I guess they already got started" I laughed while grabbing Dinah's hand. "Oh yeah, the last hour of party before New Year's is always more hyped" she said as she pulled me outside. People were dancing and playing music down the streets. It was amazing.

"C'mere baby" Dinah said as she pulled me closer to her. We started dancing with everyone down the street. Honestly, nobody turns up like Polys do. They have all new levels of party yet to be discovered by any rave. There were dance circles and everything as we slowly gravitated down to the beach. Here, fireworks would go off for the New Year.

"Are you ready to start a new life this year, babe?" Dinah asked me as everyone started to count down the New Year. "Everyday with you is a new beginning DJ" I replied while pecking her lips. "I love you baby. I can't wait to start a new life with you" she said while wrapping her arms around me. "5"! I looked into her eyes and refused to look away. "4!" I put my arms around her neck. "3!" I rested my forehead against hers. "2" I leaned in closer and gently brushed out lips together. "1! Happy New year!"

I grabbed Dinah's face and pulled her in for a kiss. I poured out everything I had for her in that kiss. She needed to know how much I love her before I told her. This is girl is my everything. I pulled back and she looked breathless, "Happy New Year to you too Lo". We just held each other and watched the fireworks. It was a good night so far.

Dinah and I were sitting in the sand on a beach towel, with Regina in her lap and Seth in mine. "You liking the fireworks Seth" I said, but his eyes were glued to the light show. "Dinah? When are you gonna do the thing?" Regina asked, making me turn and look to Dinah. "Shh Gina, I guess I'll go now. I'll be right back Lo. We're going on a walk" she said, and she took Regina and Seth to her parents, running back with an ukelele in her hands.

"Ready for our moonlight walk?" she asked as she held out her hand. I grabbed it with a bit of a confused look. "Is this part of the celebration?" I asked. "This is a little added addition to the party. C'mon Lolo" she said as she pulled me to my feet. She walked me away from everybody and too a little trail lit in the sand by a whole bunch of candles. "Dinah" I gasped, "What is all of this?" "You'll see baby. Now walk with me" she said with a cheeky grin on her face.

We walked in comfortable silence, her tuning of the ukelele being the only sound. "Tell me baby, where is this leading?" I asked. "To a happy place, I can promise you that" she said with a bit of a chuckle. "Care to eliberate on that?" I asked. She just smirked. "Gladly, my love". She started strumming her ukelele:

She walked in circles around me as she sang, making me blush. She had such a beautiful voice and I was one of the the lucky ones who got to here it.

We got to the end of the trail, the candles panned out into a large circle, where her friends and family were standing and and harmonizing in the background.

She walked me to the center of the circle, where a spotlight landed on us. She finished singing and tossed her ukelele to Masi, and then started to speak. "I wanna thank you guys for being here and helping me set this all up. Today is a very special day. It's the new year, and it's time for a new beginning, starting right here".

She turned to me and grabbed my hand gently, looking deeply into my eyes. "I remember when we first met. You were the flirty little waitress who drawed me in with your peircing green eyes and that thing you do when you run your hand through your hair. And then you saved me. Not only from the paps, but from myself" she said. "You made me a better person and you stole my heart. And honestly, I'm glad that's all you stole" she said, making me laugh and blink away a few tears.

"My idol Beyonce always told me "If you like it, then you shoud've put a ring on it. So with that said...." Dinah got down on her knee and I gasped, tears pouring out of my eyes. She pulled out a book that looked like a mini version of the book from "Up", which was my favorite Disney movie. She opened it and held up the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. "Lauren Michelle Jauregui Morgado, will you do me the honor of making me the happiest person in the world. By becoming my one and only for the rest of our lives. Will you Marry me?"

I could barely speak through the tears falling out of my eyes. I loved her so much and now I could have her forever. All I had to do was say it. Say it Lauren!

*****Dinah's POV*****

"How about it baby?" I said while looking into her eyes. My hands were sweating and I was so nervous. She took so long to speak, and I did not expect her to say what she did. "I cheated on you Dinah" she said through her tears, putting her hand over her mouth after she realized what she said. "What?" My heart dropped down into my feet, and I thought I was gonna pass out. She cheated on me. "I'm so sorry Dinah" she cried.

I stood to my feet slowly and looked in her eyes, "It's okay". "Thank you Dinah. I'm so glad you unders-" she tried to hug me but I stopped her. "Oh no, I never said I forgave you. I gave you my everything and you do this to repay me?" I said, looking at the sand. "Please let me explain Dinah. I love you baby a-" I cut her off again. "Just....stop Lauren. I'm done. This...us....It's over" I said, turning my back.

"Dinah please baby, I love you" she said, laying her head on my back and wrapping her arms around my stomach. "I can't do this anymore Lauren. I can't be hurt like this again" I said, my voice cracking at the end. I turned to her, handing her the box with the ring. "Keep the ring" I said, and then I through her keys, "Keep the car". And then I threw her another pair of keys, "Keep the apartment and everything in it. I'm moving out". "Dinah, listen to me" Lauren begged. "I'll have clothes picked and personal belongings picked up tomorrow". "Dinah, let me explain".

"Leave Lauren......I don't want to fucking see you again" I spat, and I heard her run off.

I opened my eyes and looked up to see my family just staring at me. "What?! You can all leave now! It was for nothing, okay? It's fucking over!" I yelled, kicking down the sand castle I worked with my younger siblings to build. I stormed down to the ocean and dropped to my knees at the shore, screaming loudly. "Why?! Why the hell did you do this to me?!" I yelled at the sky. "Just kill me now, please just kill me" I cried into my hands. I lost everything tonight. My trust, my faith in God, my happiness....

And the other half of my heart.
