Levi had followed close behind you. He had stopped slowly when he saw you get off your horse.

"Damn it Y/n, what are you doing?" He asked under his breath.

He then moved closer and saw the giant abnormal titan. His eyes widened as he saw Hanges cape. He then watched you go closer to the titan and fall onto your knees.

He flew into the nearest tree above it. Look at you both as you just kept crying and it got closer to you.

"I'm going to kill this son of bitch Y/n!" He then jumped down the tree quickly slicing the nape.

He then jumped down to you and you just stayed there in the same position still in shock.

"You alright? You hurt?" He asked looking at you for any injuries.

"Hange..they're gone." You said. Just saying it hurt you. You didn't want it to be real.

"I'm so sorry Y/n." He replied back taking you by the arms helping you up.

You slowly got onto your legs keeping your balance as you looked at Levi. He was just as upset, and you could tell even if he kept all his feelings in.

"We have to get going now. Even as much as it hurts to leave. We can't be out here any longer." He spoke quietly, while getting on his horse.

You looked back at the titan that was already almost gone. You looked around the area one last time.

Last, you looked at the sky. The same beautiful sky Hange had pointed out earlier to you. Tears fell once again.

As you kept looking into the sky you saw a red smoke flare come from one of the trees.

You wiped your tears.

"Levi." You called out to him.

He turned around looking up into the sky seeing the red smoke.

"You see it too, right?" You asked.

He nodded, getting off his horse.

"Let's get up there." He said as you both shot up on your ODM gear quickly.

As you got up to the top where the red smoke signal had come from, there they were. The one you had been looking for, Hange. They were alive.

You recklessly flew the rest of the way on the ODM gear nearly crashing as you made it to where they were.

"Hange!" You cried.

When you made it to them they were sitting against the tree holding onto their stomach. Their other hand on the smoke flare signal they had just used.

"Hey.." They said weakly.

You hugged them tightly but made sure to not hurt their injured spot. Levi was then right behind both of you.

"You dumbass, I thought you were dead four eyes!" He yelled.

All she did was chuckle a bit, as her voice was all raspy. She wasn't in the best shape at all and it didn't look like she had enough strength to get up on her own.

"Levi, help me lift her. We have to get her down and leave right away." You said as he agreed.

You both lifted them and put their arms over your shoulder. You flew down to where your horse was, and got them on your saddle.

Levi got on his horse and decided to stay right behind as you guys started to ride off.

You had hange be in the front of the saddle, as you sat on the back closely, so they would have support to sit up.

"I'm sorry.. Y/n." You heard her say in a whisper.

You leaned a bit to the side and looked at her face kissing her cheek softly.

"Don't be, I'm so happy you're okay." You smiled which made them smile back weakly.

You both luckily caught up to the rest of the group and made it inside the wall. Right away Hange was taken away to get treatment, and bandaged up.

As much as you wanted to be right by their side you were exhausted.

"Y/n go get some rest. You can see her in the morning." Levi told you as he could see the bags under your eyes.

"I don't want to, I'm not that tired." You said as you tried to hold in a yawn.

"Yeah, and I'm not that short." He replied as he took your arm, basically dragging you to your room as you tried to stop him.

As he opened the door when you got inside, Erwin and Moblit were already there and stood up.

"We're sorry for not going along with you guys. We thought what we were doing was right." Said Erwin.

"We are glad Hanges back. We just can't help but think, how hard it was for just you two to look for her without us. When it could have been all of us as a group." Said Moblit.

You were surprised by them apologizing and way too tired to know what to say. So all you did was go up to them and hug both of them.

"Come on Levi, get into this group hug." You said pulling his arm over.

"Y/n no-" He tried but Erwin already pulled him in. You guys hugged as you felt the comfort of everyone and thought about how much you cared about them and all that you guys have gone through.

"I'm just glad we're all safe."

In the morning you got up right away not even bothering to change out of your night clothes. You tried to memorize the room they had told you Hange would be in.

So, you went to ask Levi, who was already up drinking tea. "Levi, what room is hange staying in?" You asked as he looked up at you.

"Downstairs in the medical room idiot." He then got up walking away out of the mess hall.

You right away went down stairs holding a candle light in one hand since it was dark down there. The stairs creaked with every step you took. It was annoying but you ignored it making your way to the bottom.

You then made it to the medical room and slowly opened the door. As you walked more in, with the dim light you had, revealed Hange. They were sleeping soundly.

You put your candle down on a desk, and sat in a chair that was close to the bed.

You watched as Hange slowly breathed and how their chest went up and down. You were so happy, as you thought about how just a few hours ago you thought they were dead.

You reached out under the covers and held her hand kissing it softly.

You were still tired so you decided to lay your head down. You looked up to where Hange was and smiled. Then everything went dark and sleep took over you.

It was still morning but the sun was now shining out of the window. You squint your eyes getting up as you look at the bed to see Hange. Sitting up smiling at you.

"Morning sleepy head." They said calmly with a raspy voice.

"Morning." You said, smiling back at them.

They scooted over and patted next to them. "Here sit."

You then went over sitting next to her trying to prevent to get too close and hurt her stomach.

They leaned their head against your shoulder and took a hold of your hands.

"I'm so sorry. I made you so worried. I wasn't thinking, I know. It's just..when I saw the titan all I could think about was you and how much I wanted to keep you safe. I didn't even think about your feelings, or I didn't even think about what would happen to me." They said holding onto my hands tighter.

"It's okay, I understand." You said. "I'm just glad you're here now. But please, tell me what happened? I really thought..you know. The titan had your cape in its mouth." You said biting your lip. Just imagining it all again, you didn't wanna cry again. Especially in front of them.

"When I was making my way into the forest, the titan went for my horse. Which made my horse stop really fast, and I flew forward into a branch. I hit the side of my stomach really hard so while the abnormal was distracted with my horse, I got my ODM gear ready to fly higher up. While going up the titan stretched up higher, which was really freaky and got a hold of my cape,  which was attached to my neck. That's why it had it in its mouth and why my throat is all messed up." She laughed a bit while you just kept a serious look thinking about how it all made sense.

"I heard you calling for me but, my voice hurt so badly and it hurt to even move." They said, while you looked down to see their stomach all bandaged up under the white flannel they were wearing.

"The doc said I have to rest for a while." They looked at me with a sad expression. "Please don't worry so much about me Y/n I'll be better soon."

All you did was nod and get up.

"I know you're gonna be bored so I'm going to go get you some food and your sketchbook. Don't worry I won't open it." You told them walking towards the door.

"Y/n." They called out to you.

You looked back at them.

"When you get back with my sketchbook there is something I need to show you in it." They said, which made you smile.

You then walked out shutting the door behind you.
