I saw that picture above while while watching Shokugeki no Souma and I was screaming because that looks exactly like a black rinnegan. I had to take a picture immediately.
.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Deidara whistled lowly as he looked above at the shaking ceiling, dust particles falling down from the pressure before it suddenly stopped. "They're really going at it, huh?"
Sakura nodded seriously. "They both are equally pissed off. They're relieving their pressure."
"Angry sex is the best sex."
The duo turned to look at Kisame with a look of disbelief plastered on their faces. "They're not having sex."
Kisame blinked incredulously. "Really? Then why was the ceiling shaking? You guys have got to phrase your words correctly!"
"How can we help the fact that you're a pervert?" Sakura deadpanned.
The shark-man turned away, huffing like a child. "Even people who aren't perverts would assume that. Give me a break!"
Deidara turned to face Sakura. "How's that old man doing, un?"
"Oh, Jiraiya-sama is still in a coma.." She deflated, wondering how Naruto would react to his sensei being 'dead'. She'd lose it for sure if she heard that about Tsunade.
"Wait, his name seems familiar." Kisame frowned. "I know he's a Sannin but it feels like I know by through some other means as well."
"Okay! So how was I supposed to tell you that 'Sasuke, your brother is not a traitor but because of Danzo's actions, everything came to bite you in the ass!'?!" Akina yelled, narrowly dodging his punch.
"Maybe try and fucking trusting me in the first place!" He snapped, aiming for an uppercut. Akina did a cartwheel in the air, landing away from him. Both figures panted heavily before running towards each other once more, engaging in a taijutus fight. The ground shook.
"That's the thing! I can't, god damn it!" She gasped, coughing as he punched her in the stomach. He was completely angry, and was taking his rage out on her. It was fine with Akina. She needed to relieve stress and this was the best way.
"And why?!"
"Because I don't trust anyone!"
"Then what about this squad you created, huh?! You don't trust them either?"
She punched his face, feeling her knuckles bruise slightly. Wiping the sweat off her face, she stammered due to the fatigue. "I only trust you guys with half the information. None of you will understand what it means to be a psychic."
"And you will never understand how it feels to get betrayed by your girlfriend and brother." He was glowering now, both of them standing away from each other in the training room.
She flinched slightly, looking away. She supposed she deserved that jab.
"Just.. why didn't you tell me? I would've killed Danzo myself."
Akina raised her eyes to look at him. "Sasuke, we were only thirteen. I asked you jokingly, if you would kill Danzo with me. You froze up and I knew... I knew it'd be selfish of me to drag you into this. I couldn't stand the fact-"
"It was none of your business in the first place." His voice was ice cold and he was shivering with suppressed rage. "The Uchiha Massacre was between Itachi and I only. Why did you have to interfere?"
"Because I..." She lowered her head.
"Because you what?" He took a few steps towards her, pausing right in front of her fallen figure. "Cat got your tongue or you're going to apologize now?"
When Death offered me a choice to live again, I thought I'd save everyone.. I was always disappointed with how Itachi died in the anime. I felt terrible for the both of you, especially you Sasuke, because I know what it feels like to be alone, having hated someone who truly cared for me.
The way I was raised wasn't similar to yours at all but.. I could understand.
"Why. Did. You. Interfere? You have to answer me, Akina. Don't fucking say you can't tell me now."
"If I hadn't interfered, Itachi would be dead!"
He snorted. "Well, no thanks to you, he was still dead until a day ago. Maybe your psychic powers aren't working, or maybe you don't know how to control them. Either which way, only the rinnegan helped you."
"You don't think I know that?!" She glared at him from under her lashes. "Itachi is important to me too! I blame myself for not seeing it sooner."
"If you'd have just told me in Konoha, this wouldn't have happened."
Akina chuckled mirthlessly. "I know you, Sasuke. If I'd have told you the truth, you'd have turned on Konoha, on everything you knew, just like now. I didn't want that to happen."
His jaw clenched, but he said nothing. The silence was deafening, each one of them lost in their own thoughts. She was right, but so was he. What could one do in such a situation?
"If you had a choice.. would you do the same thing all over again?" He spoke after a while.
"I would have gone with a more tactful way, but somewhere down the road I knew that I'd have to betray Konoha if I wanted to get to Itachi. I don't know what I would've done."
"Would you have told me the truth?"
She hesitated before shaking her head. "No, I don't want you to leave Konoha."
"Why are you so hellbent on me not leaving that fucking village?!"
"I can't say."
Sasuke slammed his palm on the wall, right next to her head as he leaned forward. She leaned back slowly, her eyes widened. There was nothing remotely romantic about this scene. If it was, she'd be blushing like a school girl. If anything, there was fire in her eyes and that seemed to irk the Uchiha even more.
"Tell me why."
"No. Its the past now and it'll remain that way."
"I will not hesitate to use my eyes on you, so help me Akina."
The Senju glared at him, snapping. "That's all you and your brother can do, right?! Torture me for information using your tsukuyomi!"
"When you're being this stubborn, there's no other choice."
"Fine! You wanna fucking know?! YOU DEFLECT TO OROCHIMARU!" She screamed the last part out in anger, staring into his eyes which widened slightly with shock before he covered it up.
Her voice trembled. "I couldn't see you destroy yourself like that because he fed off of your anger, almost made you into his body.. but you defeated him."
"Why didn't you let things go as it was then? Why change everything?"
"Because..." Her face lit up like a tomato and she dropped her gaze. "I wanted to change things."
"The world really isn't ending when we turn sixteen, is it? Was that another lie?"
"..yes. I wanted Team 7 to grow closer. In my vision, you guys were all very distant from one another. I needed to change stuff to make you guys powerful."
"You said 'you', not 'us'." Sasuke trailed off, stating his observation. "You weren't in our team, were you?"
"I was in Team 8 but I purposely made myself the last kunoichi in class and told the Third that Naruto needed support, which I could provide him with."
His onyx black eyes stared into hers and he asked the last question on his mind. "Were your feelings for me all a part of your plan to make us your puppets?"
Akina chuckled softly, leaning her head against the wall, speaking her mind. "Loving you was never a part of my plan. My feelings were honest. Spending time with you and Team 7 was the best part of my life.. and I would never fake them."
Sasuke's scoffed, turning away from her and he spoke softly. "I don't know what to believe anymore.."
She cocked her head to the side with no idea what she said wrong. "What?"
He shook his head, an expression of rage taking over. "I don't fucking believe you. I trusted you and you used me, without a care in the world."
The Senju couldn't do anything but look away guiltily. "I-I'm sorry."
"You're not."
She lowered her head down again, smiling sadly. "I told you, you wouldn't understand. In order to protect you and make you stronger, I had to hurt you."
A knock on the door interrupted them from further talks as Kisame poked his head in. "Oh thank Kami you're alive. The two brats sent me up here to check on you because it was getting too silent and they thought you guys killed each other or something."
"Or something." Akina muttered sourly, getting up. "Is Itachi still down there?"
"Yeah."
Her gaze softened. "Well I'm going to my room then. Don't interrupt me for anything, even healing." With that, she pushed past him and went inside her room. Kisame turned to look at Sasuke.
"Did you really kill your whole clan for peace and saving Sasuke?" Sakura asked, setting a mug down filled with hot water. At his look, she added, unashamed. "It helps with your condition."
"Yes."
She nodded, flinching slightly as the door from the door above was slammed shut. "I think I should go up there."
He said nothing as she made her way upstairs, passing by Kisame. Entering her room, she closed it behind her softly. "Akina?"
"Sakura, I told Kisame not to let anyone interrupt me."
"Well, Kisame isn't your butler and I doubt that anyone would listen to him anyways.. that pervert." Rolling her eyes, she sat down next to Akina who laid down on the bed in exhaustion, her legs hanging out.
"Don't heal my wounds. I deserve them."
Sakura raised an eyebrow. "Bold of you to assume that I came up here to heal you."
Akina smirked, amusement dancing in her eyes. "Ouch. That hurt me."
The pinkette smiled, sleeping down next to her. In a soft voice, she spoke. "Since when did this get all fucked up?"
"You really wanna know? Its ever since I decided to change something. In other words, everything's been fucked up since I joined Team 7."
"It was a rhetorical question. You didn't need to answer that, just nod and agree."
The Senju giggled. "I know."
"You do know Itachi-san didn't mean that, right?" Sakura turned her head to peer at her friend, staring above at the ceiling.
"Of course I know. Itachi wouldn't say that, much less swear. It hurts me because its true, even if he didn't mean it that way."
Sakura sighed. "He seemed pretty stoic once you left. I couldn't get a read on him."
"That's Uchiha for you." Akina pointed out. "Took me a while to understand Sasuke too."
"True."
The girls retreated into silence. The window in her room was open, a gentle breeze entering the room. The wooden ceiling above them started to twist and turn, until a large gap was visible in the middle of Akina's room, showing the half moon.
Sakura let out a sigh of amazement, her eyes sparkling. "Beautiful."
Akina hummed. "Perks of controlling this house I guess. I control everything here."
"Are you sure the rinnegan doesn't give you a God complex?"
The Senju snickered. "I'm sure it does. All the people who get the rinnegan are really arrogant and stuck up." After a moment of hesitation, she spoke. "All of them are Uchihas too."
Sakura jerked up, placing the weight on her right elbow to stare at her. "Excuse me?"
She sent her a normal gaze, suppressed with amusement. "You heard me."
Sakura fell back on the bed with a huff. "Monsters. You guys are legit monsters. So Sasuke and Itachi-san get-"
"I never said it would be them." Akina chimed in and Sakura's eyebrows creased together in confusion.
"What? But no other Uchiha is alive. Suppose Uchiha Madara does have the rinnegan, your tone suggests there are more of them."
"You'll understand in due time Sakura. The final battle is far beyond world peace. Its a feud which has been going on since the time of the Sage of Six Paths, maybe even with his moth-."
"WHAT?!" Sakura yelped. "He's real?"
Akina giggled. "Oops, I guess I should shut up now."
"No! Tell me more. Y-you can't just tease me and not tell me what happens next!"
"I think I just did."
"Damn you, Akina! I hope you rot in Hell." Sakura scowled.
"Been there, done that."
"How?"
"I'm with you right now, aren't I?"
The pinkette cracked her knuckles, her eyes white in anger. "Maybe I ought to break the rest of your bones. Sasuke didn't do enough of a number on you."
The Senju giggled, backing away slightly. "G-gomen. Its just that- NOT THE FACE!"
She narrowly dodged Sakura's attacks, laughing wildly which only infuriated the Haruno further. Tears were pricking the corner of both their eyes as they let out giggles. It was fun, acting like small brats without having a care in the world.
"That reminded me of the times you and Naruto would prank me and Sasuke." Sakura smiled wistfully and the other female nodded, eyes wide in amusement.
"Yes, the best one was when I dyed your hair black and his pink. That day was truly memorable."
"I remember him being so horrified. I actually looked pretty good." Sakura giggled slightly, grabbing Akina's wrist. Her emerald eyes glanced into onyx black earnestly with a sudden serious look on her face.
"Talk to him. The both of you are hurting."
The younger girl didn't need a hint to know she was talking about Itachi.
"Do I have to?" She whined.
"I think you do. What are you so afraid of?"
Akina looked down, fiddling with her thumbs. "I'm just.. you know, I'll talk to him now. Might as well get over with both brothers today."
A few moments later, she hovered outside Itachi's door, using her wood style to scope out his chakra. The Senju took a few breaths, calming herself down before raising her hand to knock on the door before it opened by itself, showing Itachi on the other side.
The both of them stared at each other with an awkward silence between them, her hand still raised before she lowered it down.
Then, both of them at once --
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry."
A shaky smile made its way on Akina's face as she looked down sheepishly, scratching the back of her neck.
It was a nervous tic, Itachi had made note of after years of knowing her.
Grabbing her hand, he pulled her towards himself and she fell against his sturdy chest. He just took a bath, evident to the fresh scent of soap she smelt and Akina flushed.
Looking up in surprise, she vaguely noticed him lowering his head towards hers.
She instinctively closed her eyes.
A moment passed and when she didn't feel anything soft touch her lips, she opened her eyes to see Itachi narrowing his eyes at her forehead.
"I think you have a pimple over here."
An invisible arrow struck chibi Akina in the heart, a bunch of them following the first one before a large boulder fell on her, crushing her completely.
She visibly shuddered, shaking in rage before she raised her hand and promptly swung it at his cheeks. His eyes widened, and he caught her wrist effectively.
"Akina?"
"Let go of me! And I take my apology back!"
"But wh-"
"Fuck you!"
Then, she promptly bent her knee, bringing it upwards with a great force.
Meanwhile...
Seven orange haired figures landed in Konoha. Tsunade's eyes widened at the barrier been broken through. Far away, a bunch of rinnegan eyed centipedes erupted.
Then with a shout -
"Commence the attack on Pain!"
She was prepared. The information was not wrong and most importantly... no one could interfere. She shot a haughty look towards Koharu and Homura, smirking at their displeased faces.
Whooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooo!
That legit came outta nowhere. I thought a kiss would be good but then.. I mean, I didn't feel the mood. And this was hilarious.
Also, Itachi won't take a slap unless he feels like he deserves it. Otherwise, I think he'd dodge it. I just don't see him being thrown around the room like Naruto and Sai (with Sakura) and Shikamaru (with Temari).
It was kinda a drag to write this chapter. I'm dragging this arc waayyyy too much. But I gotta work on everyone's relationship with each other here.
I'm planning to start the tsukuyomi arc from chapter 69, that's why XD I'll finish Pain's attack on Konoha and other shit soon enough in these three to four chapters.
New A/N:
I had almost given up on this book twice or thrice because I was unhappy with how things were playing out.
I don't have proper character development and truth be told, I have absolutely no characteristic outline for Akina which is pathetic, really. I'm an amateur anyway so its to be expected.
I thought about it for a few days then decided that I'll complete this book and then use the experience gathered here to write a better one.
But I probably won't rewrite this... nor will I edit this again (maybe). I'm still not sure about anything what's gonna happen (going with the flow). But I do have the ending decided - which is the only reason for me to finish this lol
On another note, I've been sucked into the Shokugeki no Soma and Haikyuu fandom. Already started writing a Haikyuu fic lmaoooo-
