4. Meeting Kakashi!

I woke up yawning. My muscles felt sore. I had overworked myself last night because I knew the Wave mission will be coming soon. 

I had worked on my reflexes, kenjutsu and stamina all day. My ninjutsu was strong enough but I hadn't been able to practice my mokuton for a month now and I was afraid I'd become weak in it.

Dragging myself out of bed I started getting ready. 

I looked at my outfit in the mirror. If I become a genin, I'll wear my new outfit. Hell, I knew I'd become a genin for sure. It's just the problem of which team I'll be in. Hopefully with one of the Rookie 9, I'll make enough of an impact. 

I made sure to grab my black sword and kept it in my sheath. I kept it on the left side of my hip for easy access. The sword had been given to me by my father. 

It was his and he called it Black Nightmare. It was incredibly light and easy to brandish once you got used to it. It was meant for slicing and not stabbing. 

So I can easily slice the important muscles at the back of his neck and the enemy would die on spot. It was less messy as well. 

My mother had taught me to make quick and painless deaths when facing your enemy in order to not waste any time or chakra on them. She was an Assassin style in the ANBU Black Ops before leaving Konoha.

I made my way outside my house and towards the academy after implementing my seals again. My mother was a fuinjutsu specialist and she learnt from her mother, Mito Uzumaki until she left. 

She taught me various seals and since locks were useless in this world, people tended to leave their doors unlocked and most ninjas kept seals. 

I had kept seals at Naruto's place as soon as I became friends with him and taught him how to activate and deactivate them. I did the same with Sasuke. 

I entered my classroom and made my way to my seat silently sitting next to Sasuke. My head band was placed on my forehead, my hair escaping from it's sides. 

"Naruto why are you here? Only people who passed the Academy test are supposed to be here." said Shikamaru his eyes half drooping. 

"I'm a genin dattebayo! Can't you see the Konoha nin head band on my forehead?" Naruto exclaimed with a big grin. 

Shikamaru groaned. "You are way too energetic in the morning. It makes me tired looking at you filled with energy. Go trouble someone else." 

I snorted. Shikamaru was such a relatable character in the series. Naruto made his way towards me. 

"You were right Akina chan! I became a genin just like you said." 

"Buy me ramen after we are assigned to our teams." I said. He nodded. 

"Ano, Aki-Akina chan?" A girl stuttered. I turned to look at the horde of fan girls looking at me scared. 

"What is it?" 

"C-can I sit next to Sasuke kun? I want to congratulate him on passing." I raised my eyebrows and turned to look at Sasuke. 

"Should I move?" I asked with a teasing grin. He gave me a look saying don't you dare. I acted oblivious to his stare on his stoic face and nodded to the fan girls. 

They squealed and started arguing among each other on who sits there. I stood up and went to sit on a free seat behind me. 

Sakura, Ino and Hinata were sitting there shooting me amused glances. I gave them a small smile.

"Teme!" 

"Hn dobe."

Sasuke and Naruto were glaring at each other, Naruto sitting on his desk. Their faces were getting closer together. I nudged the 3 girls beside me and told them to look as I pushed Sasuke's face towards Naruto the same time as Naruto fell forward. 

Their lips connected and I let out a huge laugh, tears coming in my eyes as they leaped apart with a blush on their face gagging at the same time.

Meanwhile from the Hokage's Crystal Ball 

"That's Sasuke Uchiha, our most promising student yet." The Hokage said to the group of Jonin surrounding him.

"It's him isn't it? The lone survivor of the Uchiha clan massacre." A black haired woman spoke. The Hokage nodded.

The kiss scene happened and the Jonin blanched and a few snickered at the genins reaction. The Hokage just sighed and shook his head.

"Naruto Uzumaki is right in the middle of trouble as usual." 

The crystal ball then showed a brownish red haired girl with onyx black eyes laughing hysterically. 

"Who is that genin? I've never seen her before." A shinobi asked. 

"That's Akina chan. She's a special case. Her information is classified until she is a part of a team." 

Back to the Classroom 

Akina saved Naruto from the fan girls wrath. But there was no one to save her from Sasuke's wrath. 

He glared at her but luckily that time Iruka sensei entered the class. Everyone rushed to their seats. I sat between Sasuke and Naruto. Hinata, Ino and Sakura were sitting behind us. 

"... a three man squad lead by an elite Jonin." 

The 3 girls behind us whispered excitedly between themselves. Naruto muttered about how he'd like to be with Sakura and I in a team. I smirked.

"Let's make a bet." The 5 genin around me turned to look at me. 

"Naruto, Sakura chan and Sasuke will be in one team. Ino chan, Shikamaru san and Choji san will be in another team and Hinata chan, Kiba san and Shino san will be in one team. As for me, I'm not sure which team I'll be put in." 

They all looked at me. 

"How do we not get any honorifics?" Naruto and Sasuke asked.

"Because you guys are idiots. Anyways, place your bets." I gave a devious grin. 

It's nice to know whats going to happen in the future. Gambling is a nice way to earn money.

The 3 girls and Sasuke placed their bets against me. Naruto refused to place a bet.

"Akina chan, somehow you are always right by placing bets. I don't want to lose anymore money." Naruto grumbled remembering his past defeats. 

My grin broadened.

"She can't be always right." said Sakura disbelievingly.

".... Team 7 consists of Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura, Uchiha Sasuke and Akina. Team 8 consists of Hyuga Hinata, Aburame Shino and Inuzaka Kiba. Team 10 consists of Yamanaka Ino, Nara Shikamaru and Akimichi Choji.... "

"No fucking way." Ino exclaimed.

"Pay up." I smirked. They all gave their money as Naruto sighed in relief.

"Remind me to never place a bet with you again, Akina san. How did you know this?" Hinata asked.

"It's all about balance really. And what each member specializes in. Team 7 has Sasuke and Sakura chan the best shinobi and kunoichi along with me and Naruto, the dead last. Team 8 can be considered as a tracking team. Hinata has her byakugan, Shino has his kikaichu beetles and Kiba has Akamaru. Team 10 is the Ino-Shika-Cho combination. All the Naras, Yamanakas and Akimichis are generally placed in a team because their team work is amazing and they are all close friends." 

"That makes sense." Sakura said.

"After lunch you will meet your new Jonin sensei. So come back to the class and wait for them to take you. Until then, class is dispersed." Iruka sensei said.

Time skip brought to you by the infamous Uchiha 'Hn'

I knew Kakashi sensei was going to be late so I didn't bother coming on time. I opened the door and using substitution jutsu I replaced myself with Naruto. 

"God dammit Akina chan! I thought you were our sensei. And how did you notice?" Naruto coughed as the duster fell on him instead. 

Hmm.. That can be a useful battle trick.

"Just a lucky guess Naruto. You are the prank master after all." I said. I knew there was still some time before Kakashi came so I took out a certain orange covered book and started to read it. 

Surprisingly the story line was good and it wasn't filled with erotica like I thought it would. I could see why Kakashi liked this series. But at the same time I wanted to mimic him to irritate him.

"He won't fall for it. He's an elite jonin." Sasuke said. Sakura was with Naruto egging him on to do another prank.

"You guys wanna make a bet?" I smirked. Sakura and Naruto were smart enough to say no but Sasuke agreed.

"I bet the duster will fall on our head and he'll insult us." 

"I doubt that'd happen." Sasuke said. Sakura collected the money to give the victor later and that's when Kakashi walked in. 

I was right, for obvious reasons. Sasuke's usually emotionless face had a small hint of shock and irritation in them. I smirked as Sakura gave me the money wordlessly and Naruto laughed.

"My first impression of you all is that you all are idiots." Naruto visibly deflated. 

"Meet me on the roof." he said as he disappeared. I was trying not to fan girl so hard. I'd probably faint, yeah. But then what would happen if I met Itachi? 

I'd probably join the Akatsuki just for him to notice me. Itachi was my favorite character in Naruto. Then comes Kakashi and then Sasuke and Naruto. 

I made my way to the roof continuing to read Icha Icha Paradise.  

"Why don't you introduce yourselves one at a time?" Kakashi said as we settled down.

I sat next to Sasuke. I'd be going last that way.

"My name is Kakashi Hatake. Things I like and things I hate... I don't feel like telling you that. My dreams for the future... I never really thought about it."

Sakura and Naruto gave an exasperated look.

"Well that was very informative Kakashi sensei." I said as I continued to read Icha Icha. 

He gave me a closed eye smile. "Aren't you a little too young to read that?" I looked up at him. 

"I guess but it doesn't stop me from reading it. I read it for the plot." I explained. Sasuke and Sakura gave me a disgusted glance while Naruto looked intrigued. 

"Can I read that once you are done?" Naruto asked. I smiled at him.

"Sure. Naruto introduce yourself now." He nodded.

"My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I like instant ramen in a cup and Akina chan was my first friend. I really like it when Iruka sensei buys me ramen at Ichiraku ramen but I hate the 3 minutes you have to wait after you pour the water in the ramen. My hobby is eating different kinds of ramen and preparing them. My future dream is to be the greatest Hokage so that people will stop disrespecting me and treat me like I'm somebody important." He ended his rant fiddling with the Konoha head band the whole time.

"Alright next." 

Sakura spoke up. "I'm Sakura Haruno. My hobbies include reading books about medical ninjutsu and helping nurses at the hospital even though I can't do much. I like hanging out with Ino and Hinata and training with them as well. I don't particularly hate anything. My future dream is to become the greatest medic nin and surpass Tsunade sama! I also want to grow up and have a happy family." She blushed as she reached the end of her monologue.  I was shocked at the character development Sakura got. I didn't expect that.

"Who's the lucky guy?" I asked smirking. 

"No one for now." She snapped back.

Kakashi looked slightly impressed but still had the whole 'I don't care' facade on. 

I'm pretty sure he was expecting her to be a fan girl. He nodded and motioned for Sasuke to speak.

"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things and I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan and destroy a certain someone." 

Everyone was silent as they processed his words. Naruto looked half terrified and Sakura looked intrigued. Kakashi sensei and I had a poker face on. He gave me a nod to speak next.

"You all know me as Akina. My full name is Akina Senju Uchiha." 

I could feel Sasuke's eyes boring into me as I spoke further. Sakura gasped probably remembering her history lessons. 

"My parents are Kana Senju and Daichi Uchiha. They both are unfortunately dead. That leaves me as the sole heir to the Senju Clan since my cousin Tsunade left Konoha. My hobbies include training and reading. I like to hang out with Naruto and Sasuke. I dislike anyone who hurts my family. My dream is to save and protect all my loved ones and to find out who killed my parents so that I can - no. I will torture him first and then kill him. But before that I want to know why they were killed. Was there a reason behind this or was it for entertainment. I need to know.  And I'm taking a leaf out of Sasuke's book by saying that I also need to restore my clan." 

I was giving KI while I was talking about my parents but then I was a blushing mess as I said the last sentence. 

"She's bipolar I tell you." Naruto whispered loudly. Sakura punched him on his head. 

"She lost them a month ago. Don't comment." 

I looked at Kakashi sensei. He was staring at me without any expressions. 

Sasuke whirled around to face me. "Why didn't you tell us before?"

I sighed. "I wanted to keep it a secret because I wasn't sure on who the killer was. He could've been anyone in Konoha and I didn't want to take chances. Only Hokage sama and you guys know. I didn't want anyone to call me Senju hime either. This information will be going public tomorrow anyways. If we pass the test, right sensei?" I diverted the topic and it worked.

"Hmm? Oh yes. You have a survival test..." Kakashi sensei rambled on and I lost interest. 

".....skip your breakfast or else you'll puke." With that he disappeared.

"I know you have questions. I'll answer them tomorrow. Also, you guys better eat tomorrow." I said.

Sasuke scoffed. "Why should we believe you?"

I gave him a lazy smirk. "You want to keep a bet on whose advice will be better?"

"Hn."

"I may be part Uchiha but that doesn't mean I understand your Uchiha language, baka!"

"Well, I'm going home. See you guys tomorrow." Sakura waved at us before leaving. Naruto and Sasuke were leaving as well.

"Wait!" I shouted as all 3 of them stopped. 

"Let's hang out together. It'll improve our teamwork." Sakura and Naruto gave me a bright smile and nodded. 

"No. I have better things to do." Sasuke made his way back home. 

"I'll meet you guys with Sasuke at Ichiraku Ramen. Naruto, you're paying for me." I said before running towards him. They nodded and made their way there.

"What better things do you have to do Sasuke?"

"None of your damn business."

This stubborn son of a -

"Sasuke, I know you have nothing better to do. I know you are planning to train for tomorrow but do you honestly think you can beat a Jonin sensei? Why don't you come and hang out with us. It's nice to have friends to remove your mind off of somber affairs. Trust me I know. I'm faring better than you are and it's been a month. That man has taken childhood. Don't give him the satisfaction of taking your chance of making friends too." I pleaded with him.

I was lying about my condition. I kept it all bottled up inside. If I let the gates open now there's no stopping them for a week or two and because of that I won't be able to change the story line efficiently. 

"I'll come. But if Naruto becomes too annoying I'll leave."

It worked! That means I can give him a reason to stay in Konoha instead of deflecting to Orochimaru.

With a smile, we headed towards Ichiraku Ramen stands.
