Not The Smartest Move

The body, which unfortunately was chained to a metal bucket, fell in dragging the bucket with it. Pippin winced at the loud sounds, as did I. Gandalf looked outraged.

We all waited for something to happen and when nothing did for a few minutes, I let out a breath that I hadn’t realized I had been holding. Gandalf closed the book.

“Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in, next time and rid us of your stupidity.” Gandalf said while viciously ripping the hat and staff out of his hands. Pippin cowered a little but held his ground.

Suddenly, I heard a thump.

Thump… Thump-thump... Thump-thump-thumb. And then, shouting and screeching.

I looked around nervously and backed away from the door. 

“Mr. Frodo.” Sam whispered. He drew his sword and it glowed blue. Everybody sprung into action.

“Orcs!” Legolas cried. I backed away and gathered the hobbits behind me. I turned to face them.

“Stay close together and stay close to me.” I said. I unsheathed my long sword from my belt. I held it in my right hand.

“Get back and stay close to Gandalf!” Aragorn shouted at the hobbits. 

“They have a cave troll.” Boromir said. Boromir and Aragorn proceeded to close and barricade the doors with two axes. Everybody around me unsheathed their weapon of choice. The doors started to move. Gimli growled and climbed on the grave.

“Let them come! There is one dwarf in Moria who still draws breath.” He said menacingly. I stood beside Aragorn with my sword at the ready, just like old times. He drew his bow. 

The Orcs started punching holes through the feeble wood. As soon as the doors blew open I rushed forward. Yeah… Not my smartest move.

~ ~ ~ I know!! I know!! It's short. I'm sorry. I didn't have that much time to edit. But I can promise that on Friday, I'll update again. I'm going to try and update every two days. On the even days.
