Chapter 23

01:57, 6 October 2018

Janet ran back to the hotel room upset. She couldn't believe that what was supposed to be the best week for April and her was already ruined with a simply kiss. She unlocked the door to the suite and rushed inside.

She touched her lips still feeling the warmth of Toni's kiss. Oh how she missed the feeling, but she couldn't act on it. She now had April. Janet slowly found herself being torn between the two.

Eventhough Toni did lie to her she still had this feeling in her heart that loved her, but April loved her, touched her, and caressed her like no other. She plopped down on the couch putting her head in her hands.

Minutes later April walked into the suite. She found Janet sleep on the couch peacefully. She smiled watching her gorgeous girlfriend sleep. Her eyes traveled down Janet body as they stopped on her ass and thighs. Janet's dress had rose from all the tossing and turning.

April let her sleep peacefully while she went in the bedroom to sleep as well. Hours later Janet awoke. She looked around finding herself on the couch.

She got up and slipped on her slippers and went for a walk along the beach. She always found the crashing of waves peaceful. As she walked on the beach she heard sniffling.

Someone was crying. A figure came into view. It was Toni hugging her knees as she sobbed. Janet approached her quietly touching her shoulder. Toni jumped looking at Janet. She turned away from her looking at the water. Janet kneeled down next to her.

"You shouldn't be here Janet."

Toni stood walking away. Janet got up walking after her. She grabbed Toni's arm making her turn around. She gasped looking at Toni's face.

She had a swollen red hand print on her face.

"Toni what happened to your face," she asked gently touching her cheek.

Toni winced stepping back, "Ask your girlfriend Janet. Like I said you shouldn't be here with me. You never know what she'd do to me next." With that she walked away.

April did that? Why would she do such a barbaric thing?

Janet rushed back to the hotel suite. Once she reached the room she opened the door and slammed it behind her. She stomped towards the bedroom snatching the covers off of April. April opened her eyes glaring at Janet.

"Why did you do it? Why would you slap Toni like that," Janet yelled.

"I slapped her because she called me a bitch! She thinks you're still hers! Janet I saw her kiss you," April yelled back.

"That's not a reason to slap her April you could've handled that way better. Her cheek is swollen with a hand print on her face. Fucking idiot she could press charges on you," Janet hissed finding herself getting even angry at April's carelessness. The ghetto side was peeking through.

"Who are you calling a fucking idiot?"

April got out of bed walking up on Janet.

"I'm calling you a fucking idiot. You're acting like a fucking child letting a little kiss and my ex call you a bitch get to you," Janet screamed as she pointed a finger in April's face and pushing her shoulder.

April pushed Janet back harder making her hit her head on the wall.

"That bitch deserved it! Why the fuck are you taking up for her anyway? Huh? You still fucking her Janet," April seethed grabbing Janet's arm squeezing it.

"April let go you're hurting me," Janet pleaded.

The pain was excruciating. April's eyes were dark like someone else took over her body.

April let go of Janet's arm pushing her to the floor in the process. Janet grasped her arm rubbing the pain away. April had never acted like that. Janet wiped away the tears that stained her cheeks.

She stood up from the floor and grabbed her phone and purse leaving the room. She opened the door and ran. She didn't know where she was going, but she was getting far away from April.

She got a cab to a different hotel and checked in. She called her bodyguard to tell him not to let April know where she was. Once she was settled into her room she plopped down on her bed and looked around.

She moved her arm wincing a little. She had a dark purple bruise on her arm. Getting up she put ice into a zip loc bag wrapping it in paper towels. She put it on her arm muttering curse words at the pain.

She looked at her phone seeing April's name flash across the screen. She ignored the incoming call and blocked her number. She threw her phone on the bed and looked at it for a while. She picked it back up dialing the familiar number and waited for the person to answer.

"Hello?"

"Hey could you come to the Royal Star Hotel?"

"Um...yeah I'll be there in 10 minutes."
