Addi

-Addi- I sat there in math going over everything that has just happened. I was just sitting here minding my business waiting for class to begin and Candy came over and just started shouting in my face. I was so freaked out and nervous, I didn't know what to do. Her words were like a slap in the face and I thought what she said at the party was bad. I felt as I was going to cry, but thankfully Luke came to my rescue. Luke totally told off Candy, he stood up for me, I still can't believe it. No one's ever talked to Candy like that. But of corse my teacher had to make a big deal and send Luke to the office. I quickly sent Luke a text telling him thanks. All through out class Candy kept giving me the death stare. She's making me really nervous and uncomfortable. About half way through the class she turned around and slipped me a piece of folded paper. A bad feeling grew in the pit of my stomach. I slowly unfolded the paper. "You may have Luke fooled but you're still a pathetic little bitch." I read her words a few times really letting them sink in, before tears started to rim my eyes. I quickly stood up, not caring if I caused a scene in the middle of class, I packed up all my books and ran out the room. Tears began streaming down my face as I ran through the empty halls. I started to feel a bit dizzy, I needed to sit down. Stopping in the middle of the hall, I slid down against some lockers and pulled my knees into my chest. At this point I didn't care if anyone saw me, I just needed to let it out and I feel too dizzy to stand up. Letting the tears fall out, I felt a body slide down next to mine. "Addi?" The person sitting next to me asked. I looked up at them, it was Luke. Fuck, I didn't want Luke to see me like this. God this is so embarrassing. I feel awful. I quickly started whipping the tears from my eyes. "Hi." I whispered out. "What happened? What's wrong?" Luke asked sounding worried. "It's just.... I... It's nothing." I stuttered. "Come on Addi, tell me what's wrong." "Candy" "Oh I'm sorry babe, don't let that bitch get to you." Luke wrapped an arm around me and pulled me into his chest."I'm not good enough." I mumbled. "What?" "I'm not good enough. I'm not lovely." "What? What are you talking about?" I just shook my head. What was I doing? Here I was sobbing into Luke over my pathetic problems. Man I really am pathetic. "Hey, Addi look at me." Luke's hand cupped my cheek so I could look up at him. "Don't worry babe, everything will be okay. Yeah?" I nodded slowly and he kissed my forehead. We sat there not too much longer before he helped me off the floor. "How about we get out of here, yeah?" Luke asked. I didn't trust my voice so I just nodded again. He grasped my hand and lead me down the hall and out of the school.
