(A/N: this should be the confession chap...) “Tie it with the Deity Binding Rope!” Jiang Cheng shouted after they had beaten up the walking corpse with the joint cooperation of the Yunmengjiang Sect, LanlingJin Sect, and the GusuLan Sect. The corpse has strong resentful energy, the strongest they had seen after years of peace. “Yes!” the disciples answered. Lan Sizhui, Lan Jingyi, Jin Ling, together with the disciples of the three sects bind the corpse and combined their strength to hold it down. Jiang Cheng blew out air as he sheathed his sword. “Bring it to Lotus Pier.” He told the disciples. “Yes!” they answered. Jiang Cheng turned to Lan Xichen, who was closely standing beside him. “I have to thank sect leader Lan for his assistance.” He said.Lan Xichen nodded and gently smiled at Jiang Cheng. “It is no trouble, sect leader Jiang.” He said. Jiang Cheng nodded. He was about to turn and leave when Lan Xichen suddenly pulled his hand. Like this morning.

He was about to ask what’s wrong when they felt a sudden change in the atmosphere and the resentful energy became denser in the air. Then, they heard a roar. They turned and saw the Deity Binding Rope binding the corpse snapped. The corpse’s veins bulged all over its body. “AAAAH!” the disciples exclaimed when they were flown away. “Ah Ling!” Jiang Cheng called when he saw Jin Ling hit the tree and fell on the ground, unconscious. “Watch out!” Jiang Cheng heard Lan Xichen called. Jiang Cheng turned and saw the Deity Binding Rope flying towards him. His eyes widened. Just when he was about to be hit, Jiang Cheng felt he was pulled in an embrace. Then, a white figure appeared before him. He heard something was hit followed by a pained groan. Jiang Cheng raised his head. He was greeted by a smiling handsome face. However, it was pale and a sweat formed on his forehead. His eyes widened when he realized what happened. “Sect leader Lan – “ He called. Lan Xichen chuckled. “I am fine. We have to finish that corpse first.” He told Jiang Cheng and turned to see the corpse wobbling. Jiang Cheng turned. He then unsheathed his sword and flew towards the corpse. He took out the Zidian and hit the corpse. Then, the Zidian wrapped around the corpse and electrified it. Lan Xichen followed and maneuvered Shuoye towards the corpse and kill it. After a while and Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen finally subdued the corpse. The disciples also regained consciousness and immediately tied two Deity Binding Ropes on the corpse. The LanlingJin Sect and the YunmengJiang Sect doesn’t lack money. As the disciples escorted the corpse to the Lotus Pier led by Jin Ling, Jiang Cheng wiped the sweat off his forehead. “Sect leader Lan – “ he called and turned to thank the man again when he heard a thud. When he saw Lan Xichen, the man is lying on the ground, unconscious. There was a wound on his back. It is when the Deity Binding Rope hit him after he protected Jiang Cheng. “Sect leader Lan!” Jiang Cheng called as he anxiously helped Lan Xichen up. “Sect leader Lan!” he called as he carefully moved Lan Xichen, avoiding the wound touching the ground. Lan Xichen groaned and slowly opened his eyes. He saw Jiang Cheng’s worried face. He chuckled. “I am fine… it’s just a wound.” He said. “I just ran out of spiritual energy to keep my wound from worsening.” He said. He can’t avoid not to move as he helps Jiang Cheng. Thus, he also used spiritual energy on his wound. Just that, it is not enough to heal his wound. He also lost some blood, so he is pale and feeling weak. “I – “ Jiang Cheng said and bit his lip. He gritted his teeth and helped Lan Xichen stand up. “I’ll take you to the Lotus Pier.” He told Lan Xichen. “Thank you…” Lan Xichen weakly called as he closed his eyes. “… Wanyin.” He said in almost a whisper.
