"KETAMINE?" Questioned Scott as him, Amelia and Stiles were on the examination room at the animal clinic.
Amelia hadn't talked to Stiles during the whole school day, and Dahlia actually told her to keep it that way until he realizes he did something wrong, but Amelia didn't think it was a good way to handle things.
"It's the same stuff we use on the dogs, just a higher dosage," explained Deaton as he put down on the examination table the liquid and the syringe, making Amelia look at it.
"Why can't I just shoot him with my tranquilizer arrow?" Amelia doubted, making the veterinarian look at her.
"It won't work. Kanima heals really fast, it won't do anything to him at all," he explained before looking at the other two. "If you can get close enough to Jackson, it should slow him down enough to buy you some time."
Amelia still wasn't understanding the plan in its entirety, specially because she had to stick with Isaac the whole time and she knew if she did that, she won't see many action. Well, she had to look for Isaac right after what she supposed was "friend date" with Matt.
They told her to get away from him as soon as possible so she can participate on the plan to catch Jackson and the master of the Kanima, which was also the murderer mastermind of the whole thing. Like the Jigsaw of the situation, Stiles had called him.
"This is some of what you'll use to crate the barrier," pointed Deaton as he showed them a jar with some dust in it. "This part is for you, Stiles." He put the jar down. "Only you."
"Uh, sounds like a lot of pressure," her boyfriend spoke before grabbing the jar and looking at it. "Can we maybe find a slightly less pressure-filled task for me?" That only made Amelia and Scott look at him seriously.
It wasn't a joke moment.
"It's from the mountain ash tree," continued to talk Deaton, "which is believed by many cultures to protect against the supernatural. This office is lined with ash wood."
"It's true," intervened Amelia, pointing towards the jar. "Sealgairs use it to trap their preys, but it's not much common since we are also supernatural and sometimes it didn't have good results. Being trapped with a werewolf inside a circle you can't escape is not the idea, no matter how good hunter you are."
"It makes it difficult for someone like Scott to cause me any trouble," added Deaton as Stiles put the jar down.
Mountain ash was something Amelia wasn't familiar with and she appreciated it wasn't her the one with the task, honestly.
"Okay, so then, what?" Doubted Stiles. "I just speed this around the whole building and then either Jackson or whoever's controlling him can't cross it?"
"And also us," mumbled Amelia, looking at the vet.
"They'll be trapped," assured Deaton.
Stiles played with his foot for a bit, stumping it against the floor repeatedly as Amelia looked down to her phone. Matt was asking her about at what time does he pick her up and she texted telling him that they'll meet there.
"Think of it like gunpowder," continued talking Deaton, making Amelia put down her phone and Stiles turning around to look at her curiously before glancing back at the vetenarian. "It's just powder until a spark ignites it. You need to be that spark, Stiles."
"If you mean light myself on fire, I don't think I'm up for that," said quickly Stiles, making Deaton chuckle.
"Let me try a different analogy," told him the vet. "I used to golf. I learned that the best golfers never swing before first imagining where they want the ball to go. They see it in their mind and their mind takes over. It can be pretty extraordinary what the force of your own will can accomplish."
Amelia thought about the way she played chess, and how she is used to see the moves beforehand, and tried to read the game. Maybe it was the same thing. Maybe our mind was more powerful than any supernatural power.
"Force of will," repeated Stiles softly, not believing it much.
"Hey, if this is going to work, Stiles, you have to believe it."
Amelia could only imagine Peter Pan when Deaton said that, and she pictured when was Tinker Bell going to appear. She wasn't a fan of all those kind of stuff.
The three left the examination room and Stiles was quick to grab the girl's arm, pushing her aside from Scott to, what she assumed, talk.
"Is everything alright, Ames?" The girl nodded. "You can tell me anything, you know?"
"Everything is fine, Stiles, I just... I want this night to end already."
Stiles gave her a tiny smile before placing his hand on her cheek, looking into her eyes softly. "What if... after you horrible meeting with Matt and your hang out with Isaac, you and me go to my place and watch some movies?"
Amelia smiled a bit. "Sure... if everything goes alright, we'll go to your place and watch some movies."
"Are you mad at me, Amelia?"
"No, Stiles, I'm not mad," she replied quickly, in a soft tone. "I'm just tired... that's all."

Isaac was silent the whole drive and Amelia did not like it. It reminded her of old Isaac, human Isaac, the guy that would only sit there and listen to her ramble about her life with no intention of joining in again. That only made things worse.
"So, you are going to a date?" Amelia was surprised when she head him. The girl shook her head.
"No, he's... just friends," she corrected. "He's a guy from my French class and he asked me and I honestly didn't know to what was I agreeing to."
"So it's not a date." Amelia nodded as she pulled up in the parking lot of the building, parking the car. "You and Stiles alright?"
Amelia chuckled nervously. "Why wouldn't we?"
She turned around to look at Isaac. His innocent eyes were looking straight at her, making Amelia simply give in. She couldn't lie, not to him.
She was beginning to trust Isaac.
"He's just... jealous. All the time." Isaac chuckled. "What's so funny?"
"I wouldn't blame him, you know? You are Amelia Sealgair and for some reason not even I and I don't think even Stiles can comprehend, you are dating him. It's normal that he wouldn't want to lose you... or for you to realize there's so other better guys than him."
Amelia thought about it for a few seconds. Was he being insecure? Amelia made it perfectly clear that she wanted to be with him, why would he start doubting? It didn't make any sense.
She ran her fingers through her hair as she exhaled, placing her hands on the steering wheel, looking at the wall in front of them.
She didn't want to go inside.
"What if we just bail?" Amelia asked Isaac, who turned around to look at her. "We drove past through a 7/11 few minutes ago. Do you want a snack?"
"Lia, we have to catch Jackson andโ"
"I know," she interrupted him before repeating it a few times under her breath. "I know, I know," she said before starting to bit her nails. "Would you stay with me?"
Isaac's eyes glanced at her. He couldn't believe what was hearing. Amelia Sealgair, his middle and high school crush, was asking him to stay with her? This was something that he hadn't even dream about, that not even his subconscious find it remotely possible. It was a case scenario he didn't want to imagine, afraid to get disappointed for believing it.
"You want me to crash your date?"
"No, just..." She stopped biting her white acrylic nails. "Stay close by... in case he jumps on me or something. And then we'll continue with the plan."
Isaac nodded. "Of course."
Amelia took of her seatbelt before opening the door of her car. "You're a nice guy, Isaac."
"You are a nice girl, Amelia." The girl chuckled before standing outside, walking towards the entrance of the building.
Isaac kept her distance as he watched the girl greeting Matt before both walked into the party. He kept his eyes on her all the time, noticing how the guy was driving her through the crowd.
Amelia looked around. Old Amelia would love a party like this. She would have been making out with a stranger on the dance floor, jumping around while being covered in neon accessories. The current Amelia just wanted to look for the way out and run into her boyfriend's arms.
She just wanted to be alone for a few minutes.
As she danced a bit next to Matt, she spotted Isaac being pulled aside by Scott, making her confused. What happened? What was wrong with the plan? What was going on?
"You having fun!?" Matt asked her over the music and the girl nodded.
"So much fun!" She lied before looking towards Isaac again.
The werewolf had an object in his hands that Amelia recognized as the syringe to use on Jackson. Why was Scott giving it to him? It didn't make any sense, that wasn't part of the plan.
Isaac looked up towards the girl and Amelia immediately glanced at Matt, who looked at her confused.
"I'll be right back, Matt."
Amelia smiled gently at him before running towards Isaac, both disappearing into the crowd far away from Amelia's friendly date.
"He wants me to inject him," explained Isaac, showing her the syringe. "How are we gonna do that?"
"We have to find him first."
Amelia was quick to place her hands on the back of Isaac's neck as she looked around the room, trying to find the human/kanima/controlled killer that they had to tranquilize.
"What are you doing?" Isaac questioned as she grabbed one of his hands, placing it on top of her waist.
"Dance with me," she ordered. "That way we won't look suspicious as we tried to find him."
Isaac obeyed before starting to dance with the girl, both looking around for the lacrosse co-captain. Isaac's hands were on her waist as she tried moving her hips to the rhythm of the music.
The werewolf placed his cheek next to the girl's head while she placed hers on his shoulder, both still dancing.
It was nice, it was really nice.
She noticed how he was slowing down, and she stared at him confused.
"Everything alright?" She saw as Isaac doubted before replying.
"I see him. He's over there."
They both walked towards Jackson, finding their way through the crowd. While one of Isaac's hands had the syringe, the other was holding hers as she dragged him through the dance floor.
"Jackson!" Amelia called him, making the guy turn around. The girl grabbed Jackson's hand and pulled him closer to them.
The three started dancing. Amelia's eyes were jumping between Isaac and Jackson as the two stared at each other. She continued to dance in between them, leaving space for Isaac to step closer to the Kanima.
As Isaac was about to inject the Ketamine in Jackson's neck, the guy pulled out his claws and stabbed Amelia and Isaac on their backs, making them both fall onto the floor.
"Amelia," he whispered and she looked at him. "Are you okay?"
The girl nodded before they both looked in front of them, noticing the syringe on the floor, being kicked around by the crowd.
They both started to crawl on their knees towards the Ketamine, trying to reach it.
Isaac was quick enough to grab it and stand up, being followed by Amelia as she saw the werewolf stick it in Jackson's neck, making the guy fall onto his chest.
"Good job," she told him as she helped Isaac get Jackson out of the dance floor, the werewolf chuckled.
"Couldn't have done it without you."

Amelia and Isaac were staring at the unconscious body of Jackson who they placed on a chair. Amelia was still shaking, and the werewolf next to her couldn't help but to notice.
"Are you okay?" Isaac asked and Amelia nodded slowly. "You don't look okay."
"It's just... his claws got in pretty deep, you know? It's like he was aiming to kill me."
Amelia hadn't told anybody, but she still find it pretty hard to believe that Jackson was the Kanima. She had seen him change right in front of her yet... he was Jackson. She'd known him for so long and now, she didn't recognize the person sitting right there.
"Can I take a look?" The werewolf asked and Amelia slowly nodded, turning around and pushing her hair aside, showing her uncovered back to Isaac.
She felt the guy's fingers touch the wounds before he talked again. "They're healing," he announced and the girl exhaled in release. "Slowly," he added, "but healing."
Amelia placed her hair against on her back before looking towards Isaac, giving him a tiny smile.
"Thank you for tonight," she whispered and he chuckled.
"I should thank you instead. Without your help, I'll probably be paralyzed on the dancing floor." Amelia let out a small giggle.
"And I'll probably still be on that horrible friend date so I think that we both got out winning, didn't we?" Isaac smiled.
"I think we did, Lia."
Isaac looked at her for a few seconds, before they both felt it. The link.
It was like warmth growing inside their hearts, filling their veins with happiness and comfort, making both of them smile.
She had only felt that twice in her life. With Scott and Derek and now... she was linked with Isaac.
He was about to hug her when someone opened the door, making Amelia tense the string of her bow and aim towards the entrance, just to find her boyfriend raising his arms in innocence.
"Just me, just me. Don't shoot," he said quickly, panicking, making Amelia out down the weapon. Stiles closed the door behind him, glancing at the two several times.
Stiles had many insecurities about Isaac being close with Amelia. He didn't like the guy and he knew that the werewolf had a crush on her. How couldn't he? It was Amelia. Everyone had a crush on her.
She's gorgeous. And he didn't know how she liked him in the first place.
"Dahlia?" Amelia asked her boyfriend.
"Last time I checked she was with Erica, Boyd and Derek fighting Argents," replied Stiles before glancing towards Jackson's unconscious body as Isaac approached the chair. "He okay?"
"Well," said the werewolf looking back towards the couple. "Let's find out."
Isaac pulled out his claws, making Amelia jump back before tensing the string of her bow, aiming towards Jackson in case he decided to attack. Deaton had told them that an arrow wasn't going to hurt much the Kanima, yet she didn't want to be empty handed when that thing approached them.
When the werewolf was about to stick his claws on Jackson, the guy, who just minutes ago was unconscious, grabbed Isaac's wrist and started to squeeze it, making Amelia open her mouth as Isaac grunted in pain.
"God!" The werewolf exhaled before getting out of Jackson's grab and standing next to Amelia, showing her the purple mark that the guy left on him.
Jackson still appeared to be unconscious, which made Amelia even more confused.
"Okay," intervened Stiles as he made Amelia put her bow down while Isaac groaned in pain, "no one does anything like that again, okay?"
Amelia nodded while Isaac kept holding his wrist, the girl staring at him.
"Oh," Isaac groaned, "I thought the ketamine was supposed to put him out."
"Yeah, well, apparently this is all we're going to get," mentioned at Stiles pointing at the semiconscious Jackson. "So, let's just hope that whoever's controlling him just decided to show up tonight."
Amelia looked towards Isaac before glancing to his wrist, placing a hand on his shoulder as like if she was trying to give him comfort, but before either of them, or Stiles, could say anything about it, they heard Jackson's distorted voice speak.
"I'm here," the kanima said, making Stiles step in front of Amelia. Isaac had the same idea, and both guys crashed shoulder against shoulder in their desperate intent of protecting a girl who did not need protection. "I'm right here with you."
Stiles was the first one to approach Jackson while Isaac stood there, in front of Amelia, like he was her human shield of some kind.
The girl decided to not comment on it. He was indeed a werewolf and they were now bonded by this supernatural connection she had on people. She only wished Isaac would let her do her job as a protector instead of him trying to do her labor.
"Jackson, is that you?" Stiles asked the guy, making Amelia dry swallow.
"Stiles, be careful," she whispered behind Isaac, biting her white acrylic nail nervously.
Jackson replied in a distorted voice again. "Us," he said. "We're all here."
Stiles turned around to look at Isaac and Amelia, noticing that the werewolf was preventing the girl from tensing her bow. Her boyfriend stared at them for a few seconds, without knowing how to feel, before looking at Jackson again.
"Are you the one killing people?" Stiles questioned.
"We are the ones killing murderers," corrected the kanima, making Amelia close her eyes before looking away.
"So all the people you've killed so far..."
"Deserved it," intervened the Kanima passionately.
"See, we got a little rule book that says you only go after murderers," told him Stiles and that made Amelia nervous. She knew Stiles had the ability to upset Jackson and any supernatural creature, so she wasn't so happy about her boyfriend dealing with the Kanima.
"Anything can break if enough pressure's applied," was the thing Jackson defended, making Amelia raise an eyebrows.
He was bending the rules? Was it like the story Allison told them about the priest?
"Alright, so the people you're killing are all murderers then?" Asked Stiles.
"All," Jackson answered with such security that it made Amelia tremble. "Each. Every one."
"Well, who did they murder?"
The setting got tense before Jackson answered.
"Me."
Amelia and Isaac stood back a bit, knowing that it wasn't going to end well. Isaac pulled his hand out of Amelia's and let her tense the string of her bow, with the tranquilizer arrow on it.
"Wait, what? What do you mean?" Doubted Stiles in a whisper.
"They murdered me," replied Jackson again, intensely.
Unless they were dealing with zombies now what Jackson was saying didn't make any sense at all.
Isaac quickly pulled Amelia even backwards as the three watched Jackson slowly cracking his neck, his eyes turning gold and red with a sharp pupil, like a reptile.
Amelia aimed her arrow towards the creature, hearing him talk again.
"They murdered me."
Stiles was quick to stand up and start walking backwards towards Isaac and Amelia as the three observed Jackson slowly changing into the kanima.
"Okay, alright. More ketamine. The man needs more ketamine. Come on."
"We don't have anymore," told him Isaac showing Stiles the empty jar.
The guy closed his eyes before looking towards Isaac. "You used the whole bottle?"
Isaac couldn't defend himself before Stiles talked again.
"Then... Amelia shoot him."
"My tranquilizer won't do a thing," she reminded her boyfriend before putting the bow down. "It would only make him angrier."
"Guys," whispered Isaac, making the other two look at Jackson again as he started to stand up, half of his face covered in the skin of the kanima, like the skin of a snake.
Amelia tensed the string again and aimed at Jackson, but he hissed at them making her scared.
"Okay, out," started Stiles as he pushed Isaac towards the door, the werewolf pushing Amelia. "Everybody out."
Amelia opened the door and the three got out, closing it behind the quickly. The girl and Isaac pressed their backs against the door while Stiles looked to his sides quickly.
"Find something to move in front of the door," ordered him Isaac as Stiles looked around.
But it was too late. The kanima broke the wall next to them and jumped out of the room, running towards the dance floor.
"You were saying?" Whispered Amelia.
โข โข โข
Amelia followed Isaac towards the exit of the building. As they stepped outside, they saw Stiles telling Derek what happened.
The girl was about to go towards her boyfriend when Isaac stopped her, placing his arm in front of her chest before inching over, looking at the black line in front of them.
Mountain ash.
"Stiles?" The girl questioned softly as Isaac stood up again.
"Oh, my God!" Exclaimed her boyfriend excitedly. "It's working. Oh, this is... Yes, I did something!"
But they were interrupted by the howl of a wolf that made Isaac stand up quickly, and Derek look around.
"Scott," he whispered, making Amelia look around. "Break it," he told Stiles.
"What? No way!"
"Scott's dying!"
Amelia tensed the string of her bow before looking around. She was not gonna let Scott die.
"Okay, what? How do you know that?" Stiles doubted as Amelia looked back towards Derek, waiting for him to guide her.
"Oh, my God, Stiles, I just know! Break it!" Insisted the Alpha.
She watched as her boyfriend inched over, breaking apart the mountain ash barrier letting Derek enter.
Derek had the ability to hear Scott, while she didn't. She just wished that power would transport into her soon, since she found that extremely helpful while helping now three werewolves that tend to get into a lot of trouble.
She followed the Alpha of the pack as he ran towards one of the doors, opening it abruptly and entering a room filled with smoke.
Wolfsbane. She recognized as soon as her eyes turned purple.
Amelia saw as Victoria, Allison's mother, stabbed a knife on Derek's back before they started fighting.
The girl approached the body of Scott in the middle of the floor, placing her hand on the werewolf's hair as she looked at him.
"Scott, come on," she whispered. "Stand up."
But the guy was unconscious.
She heard Derek growl before attacking Victoria again, now this time making the woman leave. The Alpha approached her and Scott and between the two, pulled Scott out of the room filled with wolfsbane, dragging him towards the exit.
"Take him to the animal clinic," whispered Amelia. "Derek?"
"I bit her..."
Amelia gasped a bit.
What was supposed to happen now?
