Chapter 7
00:53, 15 May 2017"Finally! " you half shouted to yourself as you plopped down on your new sofa in your new apartment. You just finished unpacking and putting things in order. You had just spend nearly 3 days moving out of Erik's old apartment and into this new one. You decided to stay there hoping you wouldn't feel so alone. Erik's apartment was big and void of him. It made things worse and it eventually became unbearable.
You found this place one day walking home from a "date" that had been set up by your pushy mother.
She said you needed to settle down. Move on. It frustrated you.
Maybe she had a point but she shouldn't have pushed you. You needed time. Time to be alone. Further away from her. From everyone.
This apartment was a little ways from town but close enough for you to get to work.
It was perfect, so you packed up and moved out.
You turned on the television and layed down and began to doze off.
When you opened your eyes again the sun had gone down. You rolled over into your back and looked up at the dark ceiling.
You smelled something burning. You sat up straight.
Had you turned the oven on before falling asleep? Maybe the stove?
You jumped up and ran to the kitchen.
There was a man standing there.
A man that you knew all to well.
He quickly took a dish out of the oven placed it down and turned to notice you standing there.
Erik.
He looked slightly different. Older. Due to stress likely.
You two stood silently looking at each other. Millions of questions raced in your mind.
Your lip gently quivered.
He smiled at you.He looked happier.
"Im sorry. I tried to make you some dinner you looked so peaceful sleeping and i assumed you haven't eaten but it appears that I've burned it." he finally said breaking the silence.
You stood there some more looking at him in shock before you ran and put your arms around him and you felt him hug you tightly.
"You've always been a bad cook." you said half laughing half crying.
He laughed his melodious laugh in your ear.
When you two finally let go he sat you down to explain everything.
" Early this morning these men helped me break out of my cell. At first I didn't understand what was going on and then I saw Charles. He explained to me that he needed my help to save the mutants from future disaster. After we left a pentagon he explained to me everything about the mission. I told him I had to see you so I left and went to your house and I realize that you weren't there anymore your mother gave me this address and I came here and you've always been a quite heavy sleeper so knocking on the door wouldn't wake you up."He paused and grinned at you " So I picked the lock and now here I am. I can't be here for long because Charles needs me but I assure you I'll be able to come in and out for a few days. I haven't been able to stop thinking about you these past two years. I've missed you so much Analise." he said stopping to kiss you.
You pulled away. "But Erik arent they going to come for you?" you asked worried.
"Dont worry about that right now. I want you to tell me everything ive missed out on. " he said smiling before pulling you over to the sofa where you cuddled and talked for hours.
