Chapter fifteen

" Well, we could..... Or how about post missing posters everywhere in Auradon?" Ben offered.

" Missing posters for what?" asked King Adam.

" Because anyone may have seen them before they ended up missing." Ben replied.

" So you're saying that anyone who has seen them will reply to the poster?" King Adam asked.

" Yeah." Ben replied.

" Hmmmm..... I'll think about it." King Adam said.

Once King Adam left to think, Ben went beside the window in the throne room and looked. As he stares out through the window, he thought about Mal.

" Mal, where are you?" Ben asked.

( meanwhile.....)

" Okay, are you four ready?" Maleficent asked.

" Mom, we're ready, there's no need to ask that." Mal answered.

Maleficent just rolls her eyes and ignore Mal's comment.

" Hey, where's that red haired girl?" Jay asked.

" You mean Malice, right?" Carlos asked.

" Yeah, where is she? I mean it was clear she was coming with us." Evie said.

" Well-" Maleficent was about to say until Mal cut her off.

" She needs to stay home." Mal replied.

" Why?" the three allies asked.

" She just needs some time alone." Mal answered.

Maleficent nodded.

" Oh...." Evie,Jay,and Carlos muttered.

" Now, come on. We've got a job to do." Mal said.

" Yeah!" the three allies cheered.

Before Mal and her allies leave, Maleficent called her.

" What is it mom?" Mal asked.

" Make sure you knock out every royal you see. Understood?" Maleficent asked clearly.

" Yes, mother." Mal answered politely.

Maleficent did nothing but smile as Mal and her allies march off to Auradon. But, as she watched them, it made her thought about Malice. Was it really necessary for Malice to stay in the tower? or would it be nice if she was part of the job? This made Maleficent confused for Malice would make a powerful ally for Mal and her friends. Though, it was necessary for Malice to stay home. Speaking of Malice, Maleficent immediately went back to the tower to check on her once Mal and her friends were gone from a distance.

( In Malice's room....)

(huff....huff...)

" I feel nothing but pure darkness all around me. Why is that?" Malice asked in her mind.

" I don't understand, what is happening to me?" 

Suddenly, pictures start flashing in Malice's mind. They are all pictures of herself becoming evil from when she was little until she was in her teenage years. But, after the pictures of flashbacks end, blackness engulfed.

" What is this?" asked Malice.

" Where am I going?" added Malice.

There was nothing, just pure darkness. No sign of life or any light, just pure darkness. Malice felt she was falling in the dark with no ending. It was completely a brutal moment for she has no clue what to do. Is she starting to become evil again? or she's fallen victim? Nobody knows, only Malice would find out. Right now, she does not know.

" Ugh.... I feel weird." Malice whispered.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Maleficent reached Malice's room. But, something was a bit off.

" Malice?" Maleficent asked.

( No answer.)

" Malice?!" Maleficent asked once more but with a loud voice.

But, there was still no answer. It was like Malice was in a deep state of thought. Her head was down, which caused her mother to be frantic.

" Oh my horns. What's going on?" Maleficent asked while inspecting her second daughter closely.

Her daughter Malice looked as though she just passed away. This caused Maleficent to have questions going through her head. As questions per questions circle Maleficent's mind, she started to have a headache.

" Gah! So many things don't make sense!!!" screamed Maleficent.

Then all of a sudden, Malice's eyes glow deep green and her head finally rose up.

Maleficent was startled when she saw it happen.

" Gah! Malice, don't scare your mother like that." Maleficent said.

Malice did not say anything, she just stood up like a zombie.

" Are you okay?" Maleficent asked.

Then Malice went back to normal, making her confused.

" Wha? What happened?" Malice asked.

Maleficent face palmed herself and sat down onto a nearby chair as though she was exhausted.

" Huh? Did I do something?" Malice asked.

" Nothing. I think maybe you should of gone with your sister." Maleficent replied with a fake smile.

" Okay...." Malice awkwardly replied.

Maleficent's POV

" Oh my horns... I don't get what's happening to Malice!" Maleficent screamed in her mind.

" Mom, does that mean I can go?" Malice asked with cute deep green eyes.

" Hm? I guess so if you can catch up with them." Maleficent answered after being cut off from deep thought.

" Okay." Malice cheered.

When Malice left out of the room, Maleficent was silent and deep in thought.

" I don't understand. She's all different all of a sudden." Maleficent said in her mind.

" I'd better monitor her through my scepter." added Maleficent.
