"TEN, NINE, EIGHT, SEVEN, SIX, FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE" 

"HAPPY NEW YEAR" the five best friends yelled, standing near the harbour watching the fireworks go off for the new year. 

"I love you all so fucking much" Nick says to his best friends who were all in a circle hugging one another. 

On December 31st the triplets, Liv and Lola spent there day making plans for the upcoming year. New content, merch drops, Liv's music and Lolas resteraunt. 

It had been five months since Liv had met Nick, Matt and Chris and she had never been happier. Life was better without Jake.

After the new year had commenced, Liv spent the next six days with her mom. But there was one thing she couldn't get out of her head. 

"He loves you, darling girl"  

The day before Liv had left to go back to La her mum had pulled her aside to talk to about Chris. The pair spoke deeply about Liv's feeling and what she believed Chris's was. Her mom already knew that Chris was head over heals for her daughter, it was obvious to everyone except Liv and Chris. Clearly. 

"Bye momma, I love you" Liv said tears streaming down her face taking in her mothers love for the last time in a while. 

"I love you to my baby, Just remember what I said to you" Mellisa said stroking her daughters hair softly. She pulled away studying liv's face, admiring the beautiful girl standing in front of her. 

"You better go, you will miss your flight" Mellisa said 

"That's not a bad thing" Liv said slightly laughing wiping her tears from her face. 

After walking out of the house she turned back to look at her mother one last time. 

"I love you" She yelled, opening the car door and taking her seat next to Chris. leaning into him, sadness overwhelming her. 

She was exited to be going back to La but she couldn't help but miss her mom. 

"It will be okay Liv trust me" Chris said with his arm around the girl who was continuing to cry. Meanwhile in the front of the rented car Matt was holding Lola's hand who was also crying. 

Mellisa was not her biological mom but to both Mellisa and Lola they were Mother and Daughter. 

Once the friends were on there way to the airport, they decided to put some connan gray on Aux to drown their feelings out. 

Listening to "Family line" Liv grabbed her notebook out of her carry-on bag on the floor writting down new music ideas. She had finally decided that she wanted to realise an album with "Enchanted" as the single. 

"What are you writting" Chris questioned noticing the girl writting. 

"Just some music ideas, people like Conan give me so much inspiration" she smiled looking at Chris. 

"Your writing more music?" 

"Yep I've decided on an album, I already have a name" she said looking back to her note book. 

Her head suddenly looked up when she heard "WHAT" being called from the front and next to her. 

She giggled. 

"its called Butterflies"  She said looking at Chris fully knowing most of the songs were about him. 

"Oh my God wait this is so amazing I'm best friends with a literal singer" Nick said. 

"right" Matt said smiling with his eyes focused on the road. 

During there month in Australia, Matt had almost been in eight car accidents. It was hard driving on the other side of the road.

After the long sixteen hour flight, the five had arrived back in the US, going straight home to sleep. 

Lola had decided to not go home until tommorow figuring she would just sleep in Matts room until she had to go home to her dog. 

"Night Chris" Liv said before turning around and closing her eyes, falling asleep within minutes. 

However Chris couldn't sleep no matter how hard he tried. He couldn't stop thinking about the girl next to him. 

The thought of them being "friends" made him sick to his stomach. All he could keep telling himself was that he wasn't good enough for her. 

That's when a lightbulb turned on in Chris's mind. If he cant get over Liv why wouldn't he just date someone else? 

He reached for his phone immediately knowing who to text. The girl that had been obsessed with him and his brothers since middle school. Ruby Drake.

Chris always thought she was kind of pretty, but no where near Liv type of pretty but clearly shes out of his league, so he will have to settle for Ruby.

Well that went better than expected. Chris always knew ruby was literally insane but she would calm down after a while right? Maybe a new girl to obsess over is what he needed he told himself. 

This was the best option now. He will never get Liv so why not just date someone else. Plus he wouldn't have these dumb fucking butterflies in his stomach all the time now. 

He put his phone down when he heard his door open. 

"Chris can you come into my room for a second" Nick said whispering, clearly trying to not wake up his best friend. 

Chris rolled out of the bed, tiredly stumbling into his brothers room. 

"What's up" he said sitting on Nick's bed. 

"Look, we all know your in love with Liv why don't you just tell her" Nick said staring at his brother who had visibly become annoyed. 

"Kid what, I don't love her and she has no fucking feelings for me" Chris said about to go back to his room. 

"Hold on, Look Matt, Lola and I have talked about it we can see the way you look at each other. Its so obvious Chris. just talk to her" he finished. 

"I have a fucking girlfriend" Chris said not meaning a single word. 

"What the fuck" Nick said his face dropping in shock. He was so sure Chris liked Liv. 

"Who?" the boy questioned immediatley wanting to know the answer. 

"Ruby Drake, now fuck off I'm going back to bed" Chris said before slamming the door of Nick's bedroom. 

Why the fuck did he say that. Ruby is annoying as fuck, and now he just told Nick shes his boyfriend.

 Fuck.
