21. Unique

The wedding was stressful and fun at the same time. Nidhi hugged her dad not ready to bid her good byes.

"Ab tu bhi shaadi karle" said Nidhi to Navya wiping her tears. "Mere jaane ke baad akeli pad gayi tho".

"Main hu na" Shubman jumped in wrapping his arm around Navya. "Akele padne bhi nahi dunga"

"Kaha se tapak jaate ho tum har baar" murmured Krish rolling his eyes.

"Chale" asked Dev forwarding his hand.

"Ji" Nidhi took it and left with him.

Navya and Shubman reached Verma mansion.

Navya took a deep breath and walked to her room, Shubman was right behind her. He watched her struggle carrying her heavy lehenga and offered to help.

"Ab tum isme kya karoge" asked Navya totally exhausted.

"Ye" he said picking her up right before she set foot on the first step and walked to her room.

She changed into a comfortable pyjama but the visual of her in Shubman's arms walking up the stairs was just not letting her sleep. Their outfits during the moment did not help either. It was a complete dreamy sequence.

Was it affecting him too?  

She walked out of her room in and attempt to brush off her imagination when she saw Shubman exit his room.

Navya - soye nahi abhi tak.

Shubman - Neend nahi aa rahi thi, tho socha if you were up, tumse thodi baath ho jaayegi.

"Tum ek minute ruko main 5 minute main aayi" Navya walked back into her room and shut the door behind her. Shubman was called in after about 10 minutes.

They were standing in her balcony with a cozy set up in front of them.

"Jab bhi mujhe alone time chahiye hota hain main ye set up karke koi book padti hu and I thought it would be comfortable to talk here too"

"Take your seat then" Shubman said holding a pillow in his hands". "Tho koi nahi aaya yaha pe abhi tak?"

"Papa aaye the ek baar uske baadh tumhe hi saubhagy mila hain" Navya sat besides him placing her legs inside the duvet.

The clouds covered the stars, the moonlight shinning above the two talking friends. The street dogs remained quite for the very first time and no annoyingly honking vehicles were passing by. It appeared as if everyone wanted was for them to have a peacefully wonderful time.

Shubman - Yeh theen mahine kab khatam hogayi pata hi nahi chala. Sab kitna jaldi hogaya.

Navya - Wahi tho... Dekho na tum kal waapas bhi chale jaoge. Shaadi ke bhaag dhodi main tumhare saath do min dang se baitne ka mauka bhi nahi mila.

"Tho abhi baite haina... saath main" Shubman caught Navya's hand and watched the cold breeze play with her curls.

"Waise, kuch logo ko lag raha hain ki humari shaadi ho rahi hain".

"Haa, dekha maine, par jo bhi kaho photos bade ache the" Navya joked.

The pics from the ceremonies of the duo being together were posted by a media account along with the moment when they were in the garden. Many believed that they were secretly getting married and the duo were in LOVE but the actual rumored couple believed otherwise.

Navya - Ishan aur Shreyas ne bataya ki tum MERE  important person ko gali de rahe the.

Shubman - Haa ache se gali di thi maine TUMHARE important person ko. Hamesha se tumhe stands main imagine karu main aur important koi aur ye sunke khoon nahi kholega kya.

Navya - Itna seedha jawab, thoda tho mana kar dete.

Shubman - Main tumse jhoot nahi bolunga, main chahta hu ki tum mujhe atleast thoda importance do.

"Thoda? Bahot zyada important aur special ho tum mere liye" she said coiling her arm around his and placing her head on his shoulder.

"Important person main hi hu  yeh baat pata chalne ke baad jo sukoon mehsoos kiya tha..... hayee" Shubman explained and Navya giggled.

Shubman - Agar Trisha aur tum pehle se dost the tho usne tumhe mujhse kyu nahi milwaya

Navya - I didn't know ki tumne unhe mere baare main bataya tha, tho maine nahi kaha kuch bhi,  aur mujhe Shreyas aur Trisha ke baare main bhi nahi pata tha. I mean it was their little secret for a very long time. Mujhe laga she was just a die heart fan.

Shubman - Hahaha, die heart fan.

"Agar hum bachpan se saath hote tho kya unke jaise hote" Navya blurted out. "I mean..."

"Hum humare jaise hote. Unique." Shubman replied not making her feel awkward. "Par kuch log kehte hain ki hum ek dusrese bahot alag hain... huhh..."

"Har cheez common hona zaroori hain kya" the duo said in union and a simple smile conveyed the message elegantly.
