Chapter 7: Hunt for the dragon balls! Part 1

DISCLAIMER - I DO NOT OWN DRAGON BALL Z. If I did that would be AMAZING but sadly I don't... My seventh chapter, YAHOO!

Note: Grammar and spelling has been updated. I don't think grammar and spelling will be consistently updated. Adulting sucks, I still hope everyone enjoys this story even though the grammar and spelling is kind of bad in some chapters (thanks younger me). Anyways, enjoy!

Chapter 7: Hunt for the dragon balls! Part 1

Three more years later...

Another three years has passed and everyone was even more powerful than ever. But, there was still one more thing left to do, they still had to find the dragon balls to determine Gohan's location. So they all met up at Master Roshi's island to talk about how they were going to find the dragon balls.

"Bulma, do you still have the dragon radar?" Krillin asked her.

She then nodded and gave him the dragon radar she had in her hands. He turned it on, seven flashing lights showed up onto the screen representing the dragon balls location. Two of them were fairly close (around one hundred km away). The other five, well, that's another story...

"We should go looking for him as soon as possible. I think we should split up into groups." Goku told them.

"Goku there is a problem with that, there is only one dragon radar... There's three of us do you think we could find them by ourselves without it?" Piccolo asked him.

"OH, right I'm sorry I wasn't thinking straight for a moment... Alright! We should go together then." Goku replied back to Piccolo.

Piccolo just turned away, obviously amused by Goku making a total idiot of himself in front of everybody. Then Bulma started to speak breaking the silence.

"Me and Master Roshi will stay here and pack some supplies for the trip." Bulma said.

Roshi was just imagining about him and Bulma together... Bulma punched him in the face and told him not to try anything funny or else she would hurt him a lot worse then the incident just now.

"Your finished building that ship right?" Piccolo asked.

Bulma nodded as a yes. She had built the ship and made sure it worked properly for them to fly in. With that being said, Goku, Piccolo and Krillin went off to find the dragon balls. An important piece of their journey had started to unfold.

They flew off the island to hunt for the dragon balls with the help of the dragon radar. They didn't talk very much while they were flying. Goku asked Krillin a question to break the ice.

"Hey Krillin, what's the closest dragon ball near us right now and what's the farthest one?" Goku asked him curiously.

"Well... the closest one is about a hundred kms from here. The farthest one, well, that's another story..." Krillin replied to Goku.

They focused back on flying after that and got to the dragon ball's location about one hour and fifty minutes after the conversation. It was located on top of a mountain. They flew up the mountain and retrieved the first dragon ball. Krillin then checked to see where to next one was, it was about ninety km away. They then flew over to it at a good speed. They got to the location about one hour and thirty minutes later, they flew faster that time. The dragon ball was located under water, there was one problem though. There were man eating fish in there, they were bigger than the average human.

"Damn it how are we going to get that dragon ball with those man eating fish in the water. If we stay under to long we would drown too." Krillin said to them.

"Hmp, seems obvious to me, just blast them out of the water and they'll just die. Then the water will be filled with nothing and therefore the dragon ball will be ours!" Piccolo told them.

Piccolo flew up into the air charging up and energy beam to blast the fish out of the water. He then shot the beam directly into the water. It made a gigantic splash and all off the fish were thrown out of the water. The fish were on land now, dead.

"Great job Piccolo! Now let's go get the dragon ball!" Goku yelled.

Goku dove down into the water looking for the dragon ball. He looked under rocks and in caves but it was no where to be found. He went back up to the surface and told them that the dragon ball was gone.

"What?! Where the hell could it be, you said it was in the water!" Piccolo stated.

Krillin looked at the dragon radar again to see if the dragon ball was still there. It wasn't, it was now somewhere around ten km away from there.

"I think when Piccolo blasted an energy beam into the water he must have blasted the dragon ball as well. Therefore it probably moved to where the fish are which is ten km away..." Krillin said.

Piccolo was enraged but just ignored the others while they were flying. They got to the location about fifteen minutes later and looked for the dragon ball. It was inside of one of the fishes mouth's. Piccolo then took the dragon ball from it's mouth, he now had saliva on his hands... He then handed the ball to Krillin who then also had saliva on his hands.

"Oh god, disgusting! Piccolo why didn't you wipe this saliva off of your hands before you gave the dragon ball to me?" Krillin asked him.

Piccolo just ignored the question, standing in silence. Krillin took out the dragon radar and looked at where the third dragon ball was. It was about fifty kms from their location. They thought it was getting late since nightfall had set in. So they decided to stop where they were for now and just sit for a bit and later sleep.

"Hey Piccolo, thanks for helping us. We really need all the help we can get since Gohan is on a different planet." Goku said to Piccolo.

"Well don't get to thankful idiot. Because once we get your son back we can finally fight again and I will kill you. That's the only reason I'm helping you, to kill you." Piccolo replied back smiling.

"I'd like to see you try to kill me, I don't give up easily you know." Goku said back to him grinning.

"I know but now I know your fighting style and what your weaknesses and strengths are Goku. I wouldn't get to cocky." Piccolo told him.

Krillin was sound asleep so he didn't hear anything that Goku and Piccolo said to each other. They were still by where the water hole and the man eating fish were. The only light they had was the moon and the stars above them in the sky.

It was now morning and Krillin was still sleeping soundly, Goku and Piccolo were already awake. Goku then went over to Krillin and tried waking him up by poking him. That didn't work so he then screamed "WAKE UP!" right in his ear. Surprisingly that didn't wake him up either, he finally had one more option. He shot a low powered energy beam out of his hand, which then hit Krillin's face. Krillin finally woke up.

"Aw jeez, it's time to wake up?" Krillin said yawning.

"Yes, now get moving midget we have to find the dragon ball!" Piccolo yelled at Krillin.

They then flew off since Krillin already knew the dragon ball was about fifty km away. They flew for about one hour and found the location of the dragon ball. It was in a forest, a forest that was filled with vicious and blood thirsty animals may I add... They looked around the forest trying to find the dragon ball, they looked under bushes and in trees, but they could not find the third dragon ball.

"Damn it look at the dragon radar!" Piccolo yelled in Krillin's ear.

"Alright, alright damn..." Krillin said to him.

He then looked at the dragon radar, they were in the right location. But the dragon ball wasn't there at least not visible to them...

"WAIT! Can dragon balls be placed in the ground.?" Goku asked scratching his head.

Piccolo and Krillin the just face palmed. They didn't think of that all this time, but Goku did. They felt very, very stupid. Goku and Krillin then started to dig, Piccolo thought he had done enough work so he stayed up at the surface. They dug deeper and deeper, but then-

"Krillin I found the dragon ball. You don't have to dig anymore! Piccolo catch the dragon ball, I'm gonna throw it to you!" Goku yelled happily.

Goku then threw the dragon ball up wards of where he dug. Piccolo then caught the dragon ball and told them that he caught it. Krillin went up to surface as well as Goku. They now had the third Dragon ball and their journey was going quicker than they planned. But then they heard something move.

"What's that sound?" Piccolo asked.

There was rustling in the trees, a tiger then tried to attack Goku he just batted it away with his right hand like it was nothing. The tiger was knocked to the ground. Goku stared at the tiger making it shake in fear, the tiger then ran away from them.

"Well he won't bother us anymore, ha, ha, ha!" Goku said laughing.

Krillin wasn't laughing, he was afraid that their would be more vicious animals coming after them in the morning. But Krillin just tried to move on from the tiger attack. Piccolo wasn't that surprised, he knew that Goku was very powerful, he also could have done the same thing to the tiger. They were happy that collecting the dragon balls was going a lot faster than they expected. But they still had a long way to go before they could make their wish for Gohan's location and take him back from the saiyans...
