Chapter Two

Harry and Draco went to the ROR (Room of Requirements) to read the book Remus had given them.

The room had two cozy armchairs and one couch. The two boys sat on that. Draco began reading out loud to them.

"Chapter one, Magical bonds. Some of the most popular bonds are..."

As the boys read further into the book, it was clear to them what they were.

"...the signs of this bond are the abilities to talk telepathically and having trust in one another."

Draco closed the book and the two boys looked at each other with pink cheeks.

"So-we're..."

"Yeah..."

If it were possible, Harry blushed even harder than he was before. He probably looked like a tomato.

You DO look like a tomato.

Harry stuck his tongue out at the blonde. Draco just laughed.

Prat.

"So. since we have this bond, we should get to know each other?" Harry asked nervously.

"Sure."

The boys spent the next few hours socializing and getting to know each other. They never knew they were so similar. They both like the color green and have a passion for the arts. Draco likes writing poetry and Harry likes drawing. Draco did apologize for the way he treated Harry all the years, and they made up. They were both very tired, and Harry eventually fell asleep in Draco's arms. The Slytherin stared fondly down at the smaller boy and smiled. He summoned a bed and fell asleep with Harry beside him.

The boys did this for the next two weeks. They went to the ROR to talk and hang out. The whole time, they hid a secret from each other though. They both had MASSIVE crushes on each other. So one day, Draco decided to find his inner Gryffindor courage and make a move.

"Um, Harry? I need to tell you something." Draco said.

"Sure. What is it?" Harry answered.

Draco took a deep breath. Now or never.

"Harry, I like you. Like, really like you. I have for a while now, and I just needed to tell you. I was so excited when we found out about the bond. It was probably the best thing that ever happened to me!"

Harry stared at Draco. He felt his cheeks become red.

Draco began thinking it was a lost cause, when suddenly Harry attacked his mouth.

The Gryffindor pulled Draco into a loving kiss and pulled away after a few seconds. He took Draco into his arms.

"Of course I like you back! How can I not!"

"You're turning me into a bloody Hufflepuff." Harry just grinned.

Draco let out a soft laugh. He pulled Harry into a warm embrace and they fell asleep in eachothers arms, like they had for the past two weeks.

They woke up to the sound of squealing. Harry sat up with a startled expression and his shoulders slumped when he saw it was Hermione and Ginny. When Harry told them about his sexuality, that he was a homosexual, Ron said that he didn't want to be friends with a freak and turned his back on Harry. Since Hermione was Ronald's girlfriend, and Ginny his sister, they followed him as well.

"What do you want?" Harry snapped.

The girls cringed at the harsh, cold tone Harry gave them.

Draco then woke up. And Harry let out a squeak. He had forgotten Draco was sleeping beside him!

"What's all this about? Granger? Weaslette? What are you doing here?"

"Well," Hermione started nervously. "We wanted to apologize to Harry for how we treated him.

Draco's stare hardened. Last night, Harry told him what had happened between them.

"Oh?" He said icily.

Harry sighed. He walked over to the girls and gave them both a hug. "Apology accepted. Is Ron still, well, you know..." Harry trailed off.

"Sadly, yes. He should know better! I broke up with him though. He was being a git." Hermione sniffed.

"Anyways, Harry! What's this? You never told us that you and Malfoy were dating! And you have ears! And a tail!" Ginny exclaimed.

"Ginny! Shut up!" Harry screeched, blushing.

The redhead gaped at them. "So, you are dating?! You didn't deny it! Harry come one! Tell me! I have the right to know!"

Draco? Should we tell them about the bond? Harry asked, completely ignoring Ginny's tantrum.

But before Draco could answer, Hermione had seen the book Remus gave them.

"Ooh! What's this? Magical Bonds? Can I read it? I'm going to read it."

I guess we have to now.

"Um, Granger? Weasley? We have something to tell you." Draco started.

"Yes?" Hermione answered, already deep into the book. Suddenly she gasped. "Wait, don't tell me. You two-"

Harry chuckled. "Yes Hermione. You can say it. Me and Draco are soulmates!"

More squealing.

Hermione began peppering the two boys with questions.

"Can you do the telepathy thing?!" He asked excitedly. She and Draco began discussing the bond and became completely engrossed in the conversation.

"Oh Merlin, I'm dating a Hermione." Harry breathed. That was the wrong thing to say, since Ginny's squeals became even louder.

Draco snapped his head towards his mate. "Do NOT compare me with Granger, Harry!"

The brunette simply giggled and went to change. A changing room appeared and he went inside.

It was kind of chilly that day, so he changed into a warm maroon Hoodie and some black leggings. He tried to tame his hair, but like always, it was a losing battle.

When he went out of the changing room, Ginny had joined the conversation about soulmates.

"Harry! Come! Hermione found some very interesting things about your bond!" She called.

Harry walked over to Draco and sat down beside him. He began to purr when Draco scratched in between his ears. It was one of the cutest things ever.

Hermione cleared her throat. "Alright so, you already know about the telepathy thing. There are also some other things. First, you literally can't live without each other."

"What do you mean?" Harry asked.

"Well, for example if one of you, well, dies," Harry let out a faint whimper and snuggled closer to his mate. "The other will go into this state and will do anything to be with the other again, which basically means taking their own life."

Draco pulled Harry closer and started petting him again.

"And, in a pair of soulmates, the submissive one will grow wings. Who's the, um, 'bottom' between you two?" Hermione asked.

Draco smirked and flung his arms around Harry. "I think it's obvious."

Harry scowled and blushed when Hermione and Ginny started giggling. "Shut up, guys." He mumbled.

"Alright, sorry Harry. Anyways, the submissive will only grow wings once they've mated." Hermione blushed lightly. "You know what that means, right?"

Harry gawked at her. "M-mated?"

"Yep."

Ginny snorted. "Well, with all the tension between these two from all of their years of fighting, we don't need to worry." She high fived Hermione.

"Ginny!"

"Weaslette!"

After Harry and Draco finished yelling at Ginny, they started talking about more important things.

"Should we tell other people about our bond? Professor Snape and Moony already know about it."

Hermione thought for a bit. "I think we should ask the Professor first."

They all agreed and began walking to Professor Snape's office. Draco knocked on the door and went in.

Severus was at his desk, working on a potion. He raised an eyebrow when the four walked in. "Draco, did you and Potter figure out about what happened between you?" He asked.

"Yes, Severus. We know that we're soulmates. We wanted to ask you if we should tell others about our bond or keep it secret for now?"

Severus thought for a moment. "I think you should keep it a secret. Only you four, me and Lupin should know about it."

"But we should tell the headmaster, right?" Hermione piped in.

Harry shifted uncomfortably. "Actually, I don't think we should tell him. I don't know why, but I have a feeling we shouldn't trust him right now." He whispered.

Hermione and Ginny gawked at him, but Severus and Draco were just staring, looking very pleased at Harry. They never really liked Dumbledore.

"That makes two of us. But, Potter, may I ask why you suddenly changed your mind now?"

Severus asked.

"Well..."
