FIFTEEN

"WHO'S THAT?" WALKER asked quietly, rolling over to face the person who it was.

"Hailey." she whispered back, laying on her stomach.

"Well, I guess you know I'm up, huh?" Walker said softly, stifling a chuckle.

"Yeah, I guess so," Hailey smiled. "Wanna go on a walk with me?"

"Sure." Walker nodded, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.

"I'm going to the bathroom, better be waiting when I come back." Hailey whispered, hopping out of the bed slowly to assure that she won't wake Dakota.

"I will, Hails." Walker chuckled, also getting out of the bed, finding his socks and putting them on.

Hailey came out of the bathroom about 5 minutes later, after using the bathroom, washing her hands, and then brushing her hair.

"Took you long enough." Walker shook his head, standing against the wall with his birkenstocks on.

"Rocking the birks, I see?" Hailey grinned, putting on her black crocs.

"Shut up, Hailey." Walker blushed, happy it wasn't too bright in the room so she wouldn't see it.

"Shit, look at Dakota." Hailey said, making Walker turn his head to Dakota. She chuckled softly at what she was about to do and then grabbed his chin, bringing his face closer and tilting her head.

"Hailey!" Walker whisper-yelled, moving his head away when really all he wanted to do was move his face closer and connect their lips.

"Can't lie, that was funny." Hailey smiled, walking towards the door.

"I give up." Walker shook his head, following behind Hailey and closing the door behind him.

"We're not gonna be able to get up tomorrow morning." Hailey sighs, walking towards the stairs.

"Where we going?" Walker asked, looking around the dim hallway, the only source of light being the opened windows and doors that had light shining through the cracks of the doors.

"The pool on the roof. I was gonna lay on one of the chairs and look at the stars and wondered if you wanted to join. I did this last night after you all fell asleep, too." Hailey explained, coughing after because her voice was raspy.

"I'm glad you considered me, Hails." Walker said, following Hailey into the elevator.

"It's not fair you can give me a cool nickname. I mean, your name is so hard to come up with a nickname. Walk? Walks? Walkie? They're just cringe and weird. Like, what is 'Walk'?"

"I'm sorry, Hails." Walker slung his arm around Hailey while they went up to the roof.

"It's okay, Walks." Hailey said, then made a weirded out face. "See what I mean."

"Yeah, I do. Whats a special nickname?" Walker said, looking down to Hailey.

"That's it, I'm searching it up." Hailey said, taking out her phone and putting in her password.

"Better not be some dumb stuff." Walker shook his head and begged to himself that it wasn't going to be something dumb.

"Wally?" Hailey smiled widely at the name and then died of laughter.

"Absolutely not." Walker shook his head again, putting his hand up.

"Okay, Wally." Hailey smiled, grabbing Walkers hand.

"Get off." Walker chuckled, shaking his hand but not even trying to get out of Hailey's grip.

"I have an idea for us to play when we get up there." Hailey said, looking a little up to Walker.

"Explain." Walker said while the elevator stopped.

"Like song quiz but what's on my playlist." Hailey explained with the summary.

"Huh?" Walker said, walking out onto the roof.

"So, I'll play a song on my playlists and then you have to guess what it is." Hailey explained more clearly.

"Okay, let's go sit down and do it." Walker said, pulling two chairs closer together.

"Alrighty." Hailey said, walking closer to Walker.

โ€”

"ARE YOU ACTUALLY stupid?" Hailey chuckled after playing the song again. They are near the end of Hailey's second playlist, and it had been about an hour or more. Who was actually keeping track?

"Yes! What was it?" Walker exclaimed, frowning for a second but it formed into a smile.

"Champagne Coast by Blood Orange." Hailey named, clicking on the song so he could hear it again.

"Oh, wait! Leena listens to Blood Orange." Walker said, grabbing Hailey's phone to play the full song.

"You like them?" Hailey questioned, sitting up by putting her elbows on the chair.

"Yes! Come here, dance with me." Walker held out his hand while the song started.

"Walker, are you serious? I guess I don't know that much still." Hailey grabbed his hand while he pulled her up gently.

"We should go through my playlist." Walker suggested, grabbing Hailey's waist and swaying while the beat still went on.

"Finishing eight or nine, tell me it's the perfect time." Hailey mumbled while Walker hummed. "Told you I'll be waiting, hiding from the rainfall."

"I like your singing voice, I can't lie." Walker smiled.

"Come into my bedroom, come into my bedroom, come into my bedroom, come into my bedroom." Hailey continued, smiling widely at Walkers compliment. They dance for a while longer, humming the lyrics together.

"Leena would love doing this." Walker chuckled, putting his head on Hailey's shoulder.

"Dancing with her boyfriend, she would." Hailey added.

"I'm tired, wanna go lay down?" Walker asked, wrapping both his arms around Hailey's waist, closing his eyes.

"Yeah, come on, pretty boy." Hailey said, making Walker let go and walking towards the elevator with him.

"Thank you." Walker said, standing in the elevator and putting his head on Hailey's shoulder.

"For what?" Hailey asked, grabbing his hand politely.

"Literally saving me." he replied in a tired, whiny voice.

"I did that?" Hailey asked, frowning.

"Thank you for coming back. I was on edge before you came back into my life." Walker said, turning their happy moment into a sad one.

"You're welcome." Hailey said, tilting her head up to keep tears from falling.

"And I know I was the one that left, but thanks for your forgiveness." Walker added, saying things now so his excuse later on could be that he was tired.

"I'll always forgive you, Walker. You're, like, the best thing to have happened to me." Hailey replied.

"I love you, pretty girl." Walker smiled softly, blushing a bit while he said it. He knew Hailey couldn't see his face, so he was freely saying stuff no matter how red he was.

"I love you too, pretty boy." Hailey responded, bringing her hand up to his cheek and rubbing it. She felt how hot it was, then looked down to Walkers face.

"No." Walker said, bringing his hands to his face, forcing his hand to leave Hailey's.

"You're corny." Hailey chuckled, ruffling his hair.

"You were corny back!" Walker said in his defense.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry." Hailey said, stepping out of the elevator.

"It's okay. Come on, let's go to sleep now." Walker grinned, dragging Hailey to the hotel room and taking out the keycard.

"Alright, alright." Hailey said, following him and walking into the hotel room, kicking off her shoes.

"Come here." Walker said when he sat on the bed, putting his arms out. Hailey walked up to him and collapsed in his arms, then laying on his chest and falling asleep with him.
