Soren the Broken

The ride back to Ricks town was very quiet, mainly because Soren stayed quiet the entire ride there.He was shaking with sad eyes, an air of fear engulfed him."Soren, there's no reason for you to be afraid." Rick said reassuringly. Soren curled up and began to cry."W-why d-did they m-make me l-leave!" Soren cried out, the poor man was heartbroken."Oh Soren, it's okay. They didn't want you to leave, they just knew you needed help." Rick explained, trying to comfort the sobbing man.Soren cried the for an hour before passing out from exhaustion. Rick knew that Soren needed intense therapy and care, especially after seeing how bad he reacted when he thought he was being rejected. It would take time, but Rick knew that Soren could be healed.

Soren was still asleep by the time they arrived at the town, so Rick carried him into the Mental Care Facility.The sight of Soren brought a lot of attention."Okay, Soren has been in the End for ten years, he has become distant towards people and is more affectionate towards endermen now. I have to fix him  okay? I don't want any interruptions, alright?" He explained to his co-workers. Everyone got the idea and prepared for Sorens stay.

Soren woke up in an iron room. The door was locked, and the only window had iron bars on it. The room was equipped with a bed, a toilet, and a book shelf. Soren was absolutely terrified. He wanted to know where he was, he wanted his friends.

"Soren, calm down." Rick said coming through the iron door."W-where am i?" Soren asked tearing up."You are in my ward Soren. You are getting the help you need to be better." Rick explained slowly and calmly."I want my friends!" Soren shouted, beginning to cry.Rick walked over to Soren, wrapped an arm around him, and pulled him into a hug. Soren cried until he was out of energy, and went limp. Rick laid him back down and began to explain what was to happen to him that day."You will be given lunch, and them some men will come in here and help you with bathing and changing clothes." Rick explained."W-what?! I don't need help with those things!! I can do those on my own!" Soren cried, face turning red."Soren, we can't trust you enough right now to let you care for yourself. We don't want you to hurt yourself." Rick explained, he understood where Soren was coming from, he wouldn't want to be stripped down and washed either."I don't want to!" Soren cried.

All Rick could do was comfort him. He could not stop the inevitable. Soren would have to obey the people coming to help him. Soon enough Rick had to leave to go work on other patients, but he kept a clipboard in Soren's room for the nurses to write on.

A beautiful young women entered Soren's room, delivering his lunch. Soren was forced to eat all of the food he was given even though he wasn't very hungry due to crying.

A few hours later five men came inside Soren's room to undress him and get him into the showers. Soren disagreed. He cried, and flailed, and huddled up in the corner. He did not want to be undressed and washed by anyone. He was forced up and into the showers. Soren huddled up on the shower floor crying, while the men scrubbed him. Soren was humiliated.

Eventually the shower ended, and he was dried off and clothed in all white. Soren was still crying his eyes out by the time it was over. He watched all the men go over to the clipboard and each person wrote on it. Four of the men left while one came over and hugged him, saying some comforting words that calmed him down."...I'm sorry..." Soren said looking down, looking back on his behavior. The man gave Soren a smile and told him it was okay.

Eventually Soren got curious of the clipboard, and walked over to see what it read.

Day 1.'The poor man was humiliated with the showering. He was shaking the entire time.''Soren was responding irrationally to being washed, and flailed about trying escape.''When he was crying he kept calling for Magnus.''He needs to be under constant watch.''The man was just embarrassed about being washed, who wouldn't be?'

Rick came in thirty minutes later to see Soren sleeping on his bed with tear stains on his face. Rick walked over to the clipboard, and immediately knew what had happened. He walked over to Soren and woke him up. "Soren, I'm very disappointed in your behavior this afternoon." Rick said, the truth laced in his voice."I-i didn't want to b-be undressed or washed by random strangers!" Soren said angrily, and then he thought, 'Its this man's fault all this bad stuff is happening to me! If it wasn't for him I'd still be with my friends, I wouldn't have been humiliated!'Soren was consumed with anger and self pity. Rick saw this and shook Soren hard enough to snap him out of it. Soren was so surprised by it he stopped moving, and then he began to cry, again."Soren, you need to calm down, I'm only trying to help you. The angrier you get, the more I think you need to stay here permanently." Rick said calmly, which of course made Soren cry even harder. "I'll leave you for the rest of the day, tomorrow we start therapy."Soren fell asleep crying.

*morning*

The nice woman came up and woke Soren. Then she gave him his breakfast and made small talk until he was finished."So, you're Soren the Architect huh." She said smiling nicely."Yes, I suppose I am..." Soren said smiling sadly,"who are you?""My name is Chastity." She said with a gorgeous smile. 'This isn't half bad...' Soren thought with a smile."Is it rude to ask your age?" Soren asked curiously."I'm thirty-two." Chastity answered with a smile. Notch, that smile was beautiful."Me too!" Soren said smiling. He really liked her, she was pleasant."What a coincidence!" Chastity smiled brightly, making Soren's heart beat speed up. She was perfection."I don't very well like it here, but I enjoy talking to you." Soren said smiling. The statement made Chastity blush wildly. With breakfast finished Chastity had to leave and get to work, leaving Soren with his thoughts.

'She was very nice... And beautiful...' He thought dreamily.

An hour later the same men from last time entered Soren's room. Soren put up the same fight as last time, kicking, screaming, and crying. They finally dragged him out of his clothes and back to the showers. He continued to kick and try to get away, until four of the five men held him down while the other washed.

The men eventually finished washing him, dried him off, and dressed him. Soren looked like a scared puppy as he was brought back to his room. The men wrote on the clipboard again, and then left. After a few minutes, Soren got up and walked over to read it.

Day 2'The man is absolutely insane''Shows signs of avoidant personality disorder''Extremely violent, dangerous''Too broken to fix''Humiliated'

Soren stepped back. They thought he was too broken to fix.Soren collapsed to the floor and sobbed, until he fell asleep. Soon the appointment was due. Rick went to Soren's room and saw him lying on the floor."Soren wake up." Rick said calmly, he knew full well what happened. One of his men had a black eye that was reported.Soren got up shaking. He was still red in the face and sniveling. Rick took Soren to his office for his appointment.

The walls to the room were a cream color and the floor was a light brown. There was a small desk with two chairs opposite of each other."Take a seat Soren."Soren did what he was asked, plopping himself in the chair sadly."I'm going to ask you a series of questions, you have to answer honestly Soren." Rick said pointedly, he knew Soren would want to lie. After Soren gave a sad nod they began.

"Do you socialize well with others?""Not really, I prefer to be alone.""What did you do for the 5 years you were gone?""For one year I built a house in the End, and for the other 4 I studied endermen.""What do you think of these endermen?""The are amazingly complex creatures, each one differs from the other!""Soren if you had to, who would you save. A baby or an endermen?""Well..the baby.""Why?""Um...""Why wouldn't you save the endermen?""Um...I don't know...""Soren, you wouldn't save the endermen because it does not carry the same feelings as an infant.""No! They do have the same type of emotions, it just takes time to see it!""Then why would you save the infant?""I..I..""Soren, you know I'm right, you don't care about those creatures. You care about the infant because you know its life holds potential. You don't really care about these endermen."

Soren was stunned, he didn't care about them as much as he did a child. Soren was shaking by the time the appointment ended.That night Soren didn't sleep at all. He tossed and turned, but he couldn't rest even though he was very tired.

That morning when Chastity walked into Soren's room, she was greeted to the sight of the man upside down slouched against the wall asleep. She walked over and tapped his shoulder to wake him."Soren, Soren wake up." She said sweetly. Soren sat up groggily, he had the worst sleep in the world and was exhausted."I have your food, Soren." Chastity smiled at the sleepy man trying to stand.Soren ate the breakfast, talking to Chastity. She was a beautiful woman, she had silky black hair and sparkly dark green eyes with pale skin. She wore a blood red cardigan over a white tank top, and black pants with white shoes. She was beautiful."Soren, why were you sleeping like that?" Chastity asked with a confused smile.'She's so beautiful .' Soren thought smiling."I couldn't sleep, and that's just how I ended up." He said giving a small laugh."Aww, you are so adorable!" Chastity squeaked out, blushing a bright pink."You think i'm adorable?" Soren said smiling mischievously."Haha, yeah you're pretty cute." She said smiling. They were moving closer to each other, not really noticing."Oh am I?" Soren said flirtatiously, making Chastity giggle while blushing."Oh yeah, you're very very handsome too." She said smiling.Moving closer."I think you're beautiful, the most magnificent piece of art." Soren purred.Closer, and Soren couldn't take it anymore. He pushed his lips against hers, and she leaned in closer. They were like that for a long time, before the need for air was to strong. "I, um, have to go work, I'll, um, be back later if you want?" Chastity said shyly."Yes, I'd love it if you would visit me." Soren purred, making Chastity blush a dark red.With that she left and Soren was ecstatic.

Soon enough the men came to give Soren his shower, they looked really upset. Without them having to say a word, Soren stripped down and walked to the showers. The men stood in shock, before going to the showers to wash him. Soren had decided that he was too tired to fight, and just did what was inevitable. When the men had finished they left, except for one man. He had black hair and pale blue eyes. He wore a black and white checkered flannel with blue jeans. He walked over to Soren."I know that you get embarrassed by us having to do that, I can understand why, its uncomfortable. Thanks for making it easier though." He finished."What's your name?" Soren asked with a small smile."Malachi." He said with a smile.That's how Soren made a new friend.

The next few days went by easily. Soren and Chastity were getting even closer than before, which increased Sorens social abilities and mental state. He let the men do their jobs and afterwards him and Malachi would chat. The appointments went by with Soren realizing that he did need help. He was beginning to understand that his behavior wasn't normal with each appointment.

Day 14'Behavior improved.''Amazing recovery from schizoid personality disorder.''Has stopped crying often, amazing recovery.''Very intelligent conversationalist.''A very great friend, sings a lot.'

Those were the comments from today, Soren read them with a smile. They said he had an amazing recovery! He wanted to know if that meant he was fixed or not. Soren was waiting for Chastity patiently. When she opened his door and stepped in the first thing Soren did was kiss her.They pulled away out of breathe, and then Chastity got a sad look in her eyes."What's wrong?" Soren asked, concerned for his love."I..I haven't been honest with you.." She said tearing up."Hey, it's okay, I don't mind. What did you lie about?" Soren asked, secretly afraid."I have a child.." She said crying, "nobody wants to be with a widow who has a child! It's okay if you don't want me anymore...""Hey, I love you no matter what! How old is your child?" Soren said smiling."He's two years old." Chastity said looking at Soren in awe. She honestly didn't think he would want a child and that he wouldn't want to be together."I would love to meet him!" Soren said excitedly."Y-you would?" Chastity said sniffling."Of course!" Soren smiled brightly, he had always loved children. "What's his name?""Wyatt, his name is Wyatt." She said giving him a small smile."I love that name! I want to meet him now." Soren said smiling excitedly."I will ask Rick if you can." She said running out. She returned back a few minutes later with a big smile."He said yes! Let's go!" She said pulling Soren out of the room, down the stairs, and outside towards a small house.

The house was a light purple with dark wood on the edges. It was two levels, with four Windows, and a small flower garden in front. They entered to the sight of a woman coloring on the floor with a little boy.

"That's an awesome pig Wyatt!" The woman said cheerfully."Maggie! I'm home." Chastity said happily. The woman, Maggie, turned around smiling softly."Hi Mrs.Cooper!" Maggie said. "Hey buddy, I gotta go now see ya later champ.""Bye!" Wyatt said in a small, high pitched voice. "Hi mommy!" He jumped up into her arms."Hi sweetly," chastity said sweetly, "this is my boyfriend, Soren!" She pointed to Soren.Soren gave a smile and a wave, earning a laugh from the boy."Hi!" Wyatt said laughing.Wyatt and Soren spent the day drawing and messing around. Soren was having an amazing time with the boy, but soon it was time for him to sleep. After the boy went to sleep it was their turn to have fun. Chastity grabbed Soren by the front of his shirt and pulled him into her room.

*That morning*

Soren woke up next to Chastity, who was still asleep. He sat there and stared at her face, trying to remember every feature on it. Soren knew that tomorrow was the day he was being taken to see his old friends again. He wasn't excited though, he would rather stay with Chastity in all honesty. He loved her so much, he loved her son, he wanted to stay with her. He no longer thought of endermen as anything more than endermen. Rick told him he was better and he could go to his friends permanently. He didn't want to though, he wanted to be with the women he fell in love with.

Chastity woke up a few minutes later, looking over into Sorens eyes. He looked like he was daydreaming, his eyes were glazed over slightly. He looked like he was deep in thought. He looked very handsome like that.

Eventually Soren and Chastity prepared breakfast and ate with Wyatt coloring on the floor. "I don't want to leave you, but I have to go visit my old friends and tell them I'm going to be with you instead." Soren explained."Okay, as long as you come back." Chastity said smiling brightly."I promise." Soren said, leaning in and kissing Chastity softly on the lips.

Chastity walked Soren back to the ward, they both walked slowly to relax a bit. As soon as they got there Rick and Soren set off for Safe Haven.

They arrived at 12:00 in the afternoon. They were greeted by Olivia, who looked at Soren smiling."Hey Soren." Olivia said very laid back."Oh, hi Olivia." Soren said shyly."Hello Mr.Wilson." She said smiling."Good evening Olivia." Rick said with a smile.

They all walked back to the temple in silence, it wasn't awkward though, it was a relaxing silence. They kept walking through through the forest and were at the Temple quickly. Soren was very nervous when he entered, but was tackled by Magnus in a bear hug right when he stepped in. Soren hugged back just as strong. He felt his shirt getting wet and looked to see Magnus crying silently on him."Magnus are you alright?" Soren whispered concerned."I missed you, I hated it just as much as last time." Magnus said, starting to sob. Soren felt terrible, he was having fun while his friend was in distress. He held Magnus until he calmed down, then Soren noticed that no one but Magnus, Rick, Olivia, and himself were in the house."Where is everyone?" Soren asked Olivia, still cuddling Magnus."Petra needed everyone for something, they'll be back soon." She explained, looking at Magnus. "He's been really quiet since you left Soren.""I'm so sorry Magnus." Soren said sadly, and then he remembered what he was planning to do after that day and he felt all the guilt fall on his shoulders.

Magnus sobbed for a long time, no one had ever seen him cry like that before, not even Soren. He sat there comforting Magnus, rubbing his back and trying to calm him down. Eventually he did, sitting up sniffing slightly.Rick and Olivia had sat down on the couch and were talking about how Magnus had acted the whole time Soren was gone."Magnus are you alright?" Soren asked while he whiped the tears off of his face. Magnus turned a shade of pink and looked at the floor."Yeah..." Magnus said quietly."I'm sorry Magnus.." Soren said sadly."Its fine..." He said still looking down.

Just then the others showed up. They all took in the scene of Magnus sitting on Sorens lap blushing and crying. And then they laughed. They laughed for a good twenty minutes before calming down enough to ask Olivia for the story."Well, Soren walked into the house-""SHUT UP-""And then Magnus tackled him to the floor and started sobbing all over him." Olivia finished, ignoring Magnus.Everyone looked at Magnus and started the teasing."Aww, did you miss your precious Soren?" Ellegaard laughed."Did the baby miss his mommy?" Petra said smiling.Magnus was shaking with embarrassment. Soren got mad quickly."ALL OF YOU SHUT UP!" Soren screamed angrily.

Everything went silent, nobody moved for what seemed like hours. Soren was very very angry, he wasn't like the scared cry baby from before. He was different, strong, and controlling. The real Soren was finally back.
