Lets Work
16:57, 28 December 2024NJ: Does this cabin have a CCTV?
Jin: Yes, sir.
Jin gestured toward the hidden camera in the corner of the office.
NJ: Ask the maintenance team to remove it. I want privacy.
His voice was cold and distant, the command carrying a weight that made Jin's stomach twist.
Jin nodded, holding back any questions. He didn't want to overstep. There was something about NJ's demeanor that made Jin hesitant to probe further, even though the request felt... unusual.

As Jin walked out of the office to carry out the task, his mind was racing.
What was going on? Why had NJ asked to have the CCTV removed?
There was an air of mystery about him, something that Jin couldn't quite place. He had been around corporate leaders before, but NJ was different. There was a coldness to him, a sharp edge that Jin couldn't ignore, but also... something strangely captivating.
For now, Jin would do as he was told, but something inside him couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of a much more complicated chapter in his life.

Dad... I'm stepping into your company now. I can't afford to lose everything you worked for all these years. I'll make sure things go well. I promise.
But as NJ walked into the conference room, his thoughts were suddenly disrupted.
Who is he? Why is he so... handsome?
NJ's mind raced as he watched Jin, standing at the front of the room, his focused expression and calm demeanor as he presented the slides.
Wait, what? Why am I getting distracted? Why does it feel like my attention is magnetically drawn to him? Does he know how... divine he looks?
NJ caught himself and quickly snapped back to reality. He couldn't let himself get sidetracked. He had a company to run, a legacy to uphold.
But Jin... Jinshi... was messing with his focus. As Jin continued presenting, NJ's gaze was unwillingly fixed on him. His smooth voice, his confident posture, and the way his eyes moved with the slides—it was like Jin was pulling him in, not just as a colleague, but in some deeper, inexplicable way.
Focus, NJ. Focus! NJ
(mentally scolding himself): What are you doing, Joonah? Take your eyes off him and focus. You have a company to run, damn it!
But no matter how hard he tried, his thoughts kept drifting back to Jin. He had seen many people in business, but there was something about Jin... something that made him feel both unsettled and intrigued.
Maybe it was the way Jin seemed so calm in this chaos, or maybe it was the way his eyes sparkled with quiet intelligence.
Whatever it was, it was pulling NJ in. But he couldn't let that happen. Not now. Not when so much was on the line. Jin, meanwhile, was completely unaware of NJ's inner turmoil, continuing with his presentation, focused on the details and data in front of him

Time passed quickly, the weeks felt like mere minutes. NJ had settled into his new role as CEO with a surprising ease. The transition had been smoother than anyone expected, and his decisions—particularly bringing in younger talent—had revitalized the company.
The office, once stiff and traditional, was now alive with energy, filled with fresh ideas and vibrant personalities. The team's efforts had transformed the atmosphere, making it more collaborative, more innovative.
Jin, as always, was by his side, assisting NJ in any way he could. Over the past couple of months, they had grown closer, their professional relationship deepening into something more comfortable, even familiar. They had become a strong team, and Jin found himself more and more impressed by NJ's intelligence and decisiveness. Despite his cold exterior, NJ had a sharp mind and a surprising warmth, especially toward his employees
Time Skip: 1 Week
NJ: Are you ready, Secretary?
Jin: Yeah, everything's set. We're moving out in just a few minutes. Is this your first time visiting Jeju Island?
NJ: Yes. I've never been. I spent most of my life in LA and never had the chance to tour around Korea.
Jin: It's okay. Now that you're here, I hope this PR campaign trip will be a great memory for you. If you like Jeju, I can book a vacation there for you sometime.
NJ: We'll see.
He ended the conversation with a smirk, his lips curling up in a way that made Jin pause. There was something about NJ's expression that Jin couldn't quite decipher—was it playful, or was it a hint of something else?
The plane ride was quiet, but there was a subtle energy in the air. Jin couldn't help but notice how NJ was staring out the window, seemingly lost in thought. There was something almost magnetic about NJ's presence—something that had always been there, but now felt more tangible.
Jin tried to focus on the campaign preparations. This was a professional trip, after all. They had a big event ahead, and there was plenty to handle.
But every time his eyes flicked toward NJ, he caught himself wondering:
What is it about him that keeps pulling me in?
