33: Untold Promise

We've been dating for 2 years, and our 2nd aniversarry is today. We faced struggles and problems together and we're still strong. I'm happy even if we had a little fight and sometimes big fights, we're still here, together. I'm glad because despite of being busy, we still managed to go out and have a date. I'm here sitting on my bed waiting for Jimin to call me. Honestly, I was waiting for almost 3 hours for him to call me. He said he will call me at 8 AM but it's already 11 AM. I was a bit enlighten when I received a message from him.

And wait, when he said he will call, he always call. And why did he messaged me instead of calling?

Jimin:

I can't make it today, i'm busy. Mianhae.

Haesoo:

But, I made this day as my free time.I even said no to my groupmates to do our report.

He didn't replied anymore so I decided to call him. It took minutes before he picked up.

"Didn't I said i'm busy?" He said.

"J-jimin, who's calling?" A feminine voice was heard from another line.

"Who's there?" I asked.

"Uhh. Nothing. Please i'm busy. Call me later" he said with his cold tone.

"But, did you forgot that it's our aniv—" I didn't had a chance to continue because he hanged it up and I felt down.

I didn't noticed that a tear dropped from my eyes. I can't believe he hanged it up so fast. He was never like that. He always call me and picking me up at my house. He was never cold to me.

I ran downstairs and opened my car Dad was given to me. I started the engine and drove my way to his house. I felt down, I just can't believe. Even though he's busy, he keeps on calling me.

W-what if he chea— stop your delulu mind Haesoo! He'll never do that.

But who's that girl I heard to the other line. Stop it, Haesoo! It might be his mom or sister.

But he said he don't have a sister, and her mom is in London.

I drove as fast as I can to his house. When I made it, I saw his car outside. And a person on the door. A feminine body, she came out of his house and I finally saw her face—

X-xiaoyou?!

Haesoo:

Jang Xiaoyou, where are you?

Xiaoyou:

In my house. Why?

But why do she need to lie to me? I called Jimin and he picked up.

"H-hello?" I akwardly said.

"Haesoo, didn't I sa—" I interrupted him by hanging up the call. I saw my bestfriend hugging my boyfriend. I slapped my face to make sure i'm dreaming but hell, it hurts.

They locked the house and walked holding hands with Jimin. The way they look at each other, the way Jimin looks at her was as same as he looks at me. Jimin held her waist and.... and

H-he k-kissed her.

I closed my eyes as I felt the whole world collapsed on me. I opened my eyes, and they're still kissing. A deep and rough kiss that I never experienced on him. And he did that to my b-bestfriend. I cried as I watch those two people I love and trust the most.

They entered the car and drove away. I decided to drive behind them. I hold onto my steering wheel so hard as I cry. I just can't believe. I never imagined that it'll happen. I never expected to feel this stinging pain I felt on my heart. I love them both and I really trust them. But, theye broke it.

After a 3 hours trip, they stopped at a restaurant. They both got out of the car and held each other arms again. Xiaoyou clinged onto him but he removed her hand from his and he slid his right hand on her waist. When they entered, I spied on them. I hid behind my car that's parked away from them. I quickly ran and entered too, I normally walked and put my shades on and acted as if I'm a customer too. I sat behind them. Behind Jimin.

"I want french pasta for my girlfriend" Jimin said to the waiter that made my eyes to widen and I was bewildered and felt bretrayed. I want to laugh at myself for saying that i'll be his wife someday.

"Jimin-ah, how about Haes—" Jimin interupted her.

"Shhhh. I don't want to hear her name" he said, and my heart just broke into pieces.

"How can she do that to you? Hanging out with Jungkook while dating you? And she can't even pay you time and attention" she said and I froze.

They talked about random things and i'm just here listening to their hurtful words to me. What did I do to make them hate me and even cheated on me?

Xiaoyou's phone suddenly rang interupting their conversation.

"Eomma? Why?" she said. "Okay fine!"

"What's the matter?" Jimin asked.

"Mom called and she wants me to talk about my step sister, the lucky heir of my stepdad" she said with annoyed tone.

"Do you want me to drive you home?" He asked.

"No. No it's okay" she said and they both got out of the restaurant. After she left, Jimin got in his car. I quickly ran to my car and drove it as he started to drive away. When we are the middle of the road where there's no traffic, I raced my car in front of his and blocked his way.

He got out of his car and I did too. He was shocked when he saw me. I want to slap him, I want to hurt him. But there's a part of me to forgive him.

"H-haesoo?" He asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"Please don't lie. I saw it all" I said.

"S-saw what?" He asked again.

"From your house to here. I saw it, don't lie please" I cried but he didn't wiped it away like he always do. "How can you and Xiaoyou do this to me?" I tried to be calm. He didn't replied. "Y-you cheated on me! In front of me! I want to slap you! I want to punch you! I really want to hurt you! But my heart wants to forgive you. W-why?!" I shouted at him.

"P-please. Let's break up" I almost stumble on my knees but thanks to my car, I have my support.

"Why did you cheat on me? Why did you broke your promise!" I said as I held onto his collar and hit his chest. I'm crying so hard and I can't control it anymore.

"Sorry Haesoo but we are not happy anymore" he said. My whole world was fallen. I can't believe it, the man I loved the most is breaking up with me.

"D-do you know what p-promise m-means?" I cried and stuttered.

"Sorry but I can't make it. I don't love you anymore" he can't look at me. I saw those eyes of him, it's all teary.

"I don't believe you" I said.

"Let's stop this, Jin Haesoo! Let's end it here!" He shouted at me and I was startled by hearing my full name. He doesn't really call me by my full name.

"Stop it here? J-jimin, you promised me that day 2 years ago that you'll never leave me. You promised to me right? Please, you're just pranking me!" I said trying to be strong.

"Prank? Why would I prank you if it's true?! Jin Haesoo, I love Xiaoyou. Please let's end it here!" He left and drove away.

I can't believe it all ended up here. He left me without a clear reason. The man I love the most, I cherished and the man I'll have in my future just left me and ended up here. He left me the same day when I said yes. The man I never imagined that he'll cheat on me just did it in front of me. And it hurts seeing him loving my bestfriend.

Park Jimin just broke up with me.

I drove away as fast as I can, I don't care if the cops will chase me. I don't care to the world.

"I have one untold promise to you. Jimin, I'll wait for you. Promise" I said and wiped my tears away.
