I realize I fucked up. So much. The hurt and sadness in his eyes when he was waiting for me to say it back was crucial to me. He left with tears in his eyes, tears that I caused. I never thought I'll make Draco cry, but here we are.
I don't know what blocked me. Seriously, I have no idea. It's like I wanted to tell him, but I had a block in my mouth that kept me shut. If I could just turn back the time, if I could just...
But I can't do anything about it. At least for now.
If I look at it from the other side, Draco has hurt me many more times than I did. He caused me pain and embarrassment, too.
But...
I can't imagine how hard it must have been for him to confess such thing. Especially if he never said those words ever.
And me not saying it back...I feel so stupid.
Because I do love him so much.
I wish I could find him and explain it, but I'm scared how would he react. Draco's hurt, and when he's hurt he's cold and distant and does things that he later regrets.
So I'm not gonna do anything for now, just wait for a better while.
Me sinking in my thoughts caused me to almost miss my first class of today. It's Monday and I'm supposed to have Astrology for the first time, because the teacher has been ill for a long time.
I'm looking forward to this class, and would like to continue working with Astrology after I finish this school.
I decided to dress in something different today. I'm so sick and tired of wearing the same school robe day by day. So I put on a white shirt, a black mini dress underneath and added some jewelry. On my legs I put a knee high black see through stockings and black boots.
I don't know if I can get a detention for not wearing a school robe, but I'm curious to find out.
I've never been to the Astrology class before, so I have no idea where it is, but I'm thinking it's somewhere near Divination classroom.
I left my room and went through the Slytherin common room, where Blaise and some girl - I'm not even sure she's a Slytherin - were kissing on a couch near the big fireplace. As soon as I noticed them, my body went through a little shock, because I thought no one would be there.
I went out of the common room, without them noticing me, and headed to the class. The castle looks very alive today, because the sun rays are illuminating the big halls with windows, making it look very pleasant. I haven't met many students in the corridors, I guess they're all having classes.
As I walked past the great hall, I realized that I haven't eaten anything since yesterday's lunch. As soon as I think of food, my stomach makes a hungry sound, longing for it to fill. But I don't really have time.
After a few minutes of walking and hoping to not meet Draco, I came to a big wooden door. I think this is it, but I'm not sure. God, would it hurt to put a card with class name on the goddamn door?
I quickly brushed through my hair and knocked on the door. After a few seconds, I opened the door and came through to the class. The space is too small for so many students, so some are sitting on the ground on a colorful fluffy pillows.
I took a look around the class to find someone familiar to me. Everyone's faces, including the teacher's were staring at me in a surprise.
"Can I help you, dear?" Asked me a short curly haired woman with big circle glasses sitting on her nose.
"I-uh..." I stuttered, trying to find Blaise or someone I know, but I struggled.
"Is this the Astrology class?" I asked and looked at the teacher.
"No, dear, this is the Divination..."
"Oh, I'm sorry!"
"Astrology is... Diggory! Put the crystal ball down! It's not for playing!" She suddenly screamed.
I looked over to find Cedric. He's standing by the big circle window and holding a crystal ball in his hands. As soon as he notices me standing in the door, he waves at me.
"Diggory, why don't you take miss..."
"Delacour." I quickly added.
"...Miss Delacour to her class?" Offered the teacher and looked at Cedric.
Students were all quiet and looking at us three. When my eyes met with Cedric's, I quickly looked away.
"Gladly." He said and smiled.
We both walked out of the class and Cedric closed the door.
"Where do you want me to take you?" He asked and smiled at me again.
"Astrology. But you can just tell me where it is and I'll-"
"No! Let me take you, please. I don't wanna be in Divination class, it sucks."
"If you say so..." I shrugged my shoulders and we started walking out of this corridor.
We went past the great hall once again, but I didn't take a look there, because my stomach wouldn't like it. I should seriously eat something after Astrology.
After a while of walking, Cedric turned right and we went out of the castle to the garden with a fountain.
"Are you sure this is the right way?" I asked him suspiciously.
"I'm pretty sure." He giggled and sat on the nearest bench.
"What are you doing?"
He didn't bother answering my question and put his hand in his pocket to pull out a small green box. I watched him with in a complete surprise and incomprehension.
He opened the box and took out a rolled joint out of it. He put it in his mouth and glanced at me.
"Are you kidding me? I'm supposed to be in a class!" I said and raised my voice at him.
He pulled out a lighter and lit his blunt.
"But you don't know where it is, that's the problem." He whispered and blew the smoke into my face. I instantly started coughing.
"You're not gonna take me?" I asked.
"I'm not gonna take you."
I groaned and sat next to him. The bench is cold as hell, I'm not dressed well for this weather. Even if the sun is shining, the air is freezing cold.
"I'm cold, can we go now?" I mumbled.
Without words, he pulled out his Hufflepuff robe and put it over my shoulders. Now he's just in his hoodie and jeans, that's the first time I see him in normal clothes.
"Thanks..."
The smell of his robe instantly hit my nose in a pleasant way. He smells like vanilla, green grass and some...very nice cologne.
We were just sitting there next to each other, not saying anything. I feel weird.
"What if someone sees..."
"Are you always such a worry head? God, woman, chill down." He said and blew the smoke through his mouth.
"You know what, fuck it. I'll find it myself. Thanks for you help." I pulled out of his robe and stood up, ready to leave.
But before I could walk away, his hand gently grabbed mine and turned me to him.
"Don't go." He said, this time looking into my eyes.
"Tell me one reason why should I stay, Diggory."
He thought about it for a bit.
"Because I'm a prefect and I can give you a free pass if you feel unwell."
"I'm perfectly well." I said and raised my eyebrows.
"You always have something to say, don't you?" He giggled and passed me the joint.
"What do you want me to do with it?" I asked and sat once again next to him on the cold bench.
"You've never...?"
"I've never."
That is a lie. Because now, I know exactly what he's up to.
He fully turned his body facing mine and took the joint out of my hand. Then he slowly leaned closer to me, so close I could hear him breathing, and gently put the joint into my mouth. While he was doing that, his fingers touched the skin on my face. We didn't break the eye contact, I was staring right into his eyes.
"Have you smoked a cigarette?" He asked me.
"Of course." I nodded.
"Then do the same."
And I did. The taste of the smoke coming from the blunt hit my tongue. I blew the smoke into his face like he did to mine and giggled.
"Quick learner." He clapped his hands and laughed.
After a few tokes, we constantly giggled and laughed on nothing. He didn't let me have more, "you're a lightweight" he said and put the joint into the green box.
A few minutes passed and we decided to wander around the castle, because I was shivering in cold. We laughed at every stupid thing we said, mostly at our walk. I felt like my legs are from jello and couldn't stop laughing.
I must say, this is the best I've felt since I came to Hogwarts.
I didn't care about anybody, Draco didn't even came on my mind. Thank God the castle was still empty, because if someone saw us...I think we would be expelled.
But we weren't, thats the fun in it. Cedric was holding my hand, which I realized after a few moments. I didn't let go, tho. I liked it. He put his finger on his mouth and mouthed "shhh". Suddenly, he pulled me to the great hall and closed the big door.
"Why are we here-"
"Shhhh."
"But there's nobody, you SHHHH."
We both laughed so hard, my stomach started hurting so bad.
He took me to the middle of the hall between the tables and put his one hand on my waist and with another he grabbed my hand. And just like that, we danced together, our bodies so close to each other, with his hand still grasping mine.
Our legs were constantly tripping on each other, but we laughed it and danced more. His eyes were looking deep into mine, I could feel the tension between us.
"Come with me to the ball." He said with a serious face.
"Wha-what?" I stuttered, my head was spinning like crazy.
"Will you come to the ball with me?"
Cedric is asking me to the ball?
I couldn't believe my ears.
"Yes!" I screamed without hesitation and hugged him tightly.
I didn't think of Draco at all, and maybe I should have.
But...
Can't I have fun, too?
I deserve it!
After we danced, we sat by the Hufflepuff table, stuffing our mouths with food.
I've never thought I'd have so much fun with Cedric Diggory, but I guess he's full of surprises.
