30: First Anniversary (Part 2)

23:08, 2 August 2016

JAMIE POVIt is now afterschool, finally. We finished dance practice and Bangtan and I were outside, ready to go home.

"Happy Anniversary guys! Have fun tonight!" Jhope said.

"We will." Jimin said as he smiled. With that, everyone except Jimin and I went home. "Ready to go?" He asked. I nodded.

"Where?" I asked. He smiled.

"Just follow me." He said. He held my hand and we started walking. We talked on the way and he made me laugh, smile, and blush. After a while, we got to where the streets were, and he called a taxi. From there, we got on and I leaned on his shoulder as we sat together in the back. After about thirty minutes, we arrived at a port. My eyes widened as I saw boats and the open sea in front of me.

"Thank you." Jimin said to the taxi driver as he paid. Then, he led me to the port and smiled at me. "Surprise!" He said.

"What is this?" I asked with a smile.

"I'm taking you on a small boat ride." He said. He then rented a very small canoe and we put on our float vests and hopped on with the paddles. We worked together to paddle out. After we got far out enough, I laughed.

"Park Jimin you are something special." I said. "I can't believe you thought of doing this."

"You like?" He asked.

"I love." I said. Then, I looked around at the peaceful sea around me. "It's so beautiful." I said.

"Are you hungry? I prepared food." He said as he opened his backpack. My heart melted at the most adorable scene in front of me. Jimin pulled out two juice boxes, a container with pasta, a container with sandwiches, a container with fruits, and a box of chocolate-covered strawberries.

I laughed.

"Jimin! Oh my gosh this is so cute!" I said. He gave me some pasta, fruit, and a sandwich. Then, he got some for himself. I smiled as we enjoyed our meal. I put the straw in my juice box and did the same for Jimin. Then, I handed it to him and held mine up.

"To many more months of memory and fun." I said. "Cheers!"

"Cheers!" He said back as he tapped his juice box with mine. We laughed and wrapped our arm around, drinking our juice. After we emptied our juice boxes, we ate the chocolate-covered strawberries. Then, we rowed out a bit further and watched the sunset together. I stared at its beauty. It was so peaceful, so comforting.

"I wasn't really going to kiss you." Jimin suddenly said. I turned to him.

"What?" I asked.

"Earlier. I wasn't really going to kiss you." He said. Suddenly, I felt hurt.

"O-Oh." I said as I turned back to the sunset.

"Because... I waited one full month to kiss you, I wasn't going to ruin that special moment and kiss you in front of them to win some competition." He said. I turned back to him, but when I did, I moved my body a little too fast. I leaned backwards, almost about to fall out of the canoe. Jimin's eyes widened as he held out his arms to catch me, but the extra weight just made us both fall out of the canoe and into the open sea. I held my breath as I swam as best I could with the support of my float vest, but before I reached the surface, I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around me. Then, it pulled me up to the surface where I caught my breath.

"Jamie! Are you okay?!" He asked. I coughed a couple of times but nodded.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Jimin!" I said. "I can't believe we just fell out of our canoe!" I added. Then, a second later, we both broke out laughing.

"Be careful!" He said in between laughs.

"Why would you lean with me pabo!" I added while laughing along.

"Well I wasn't going to just let you fall! You fall, I fall with you!" He said. My heart warmed up, which was comforting to the cold water absorbing my clothes. After we finished laughing, I was about to swim back to the canoe, but he stopped me.

"Wait." He said. He held me in his arms as we floated. "The first time I almost kissed you, we weren't even together. We were at my house and working on a project. Do you remember that?" He asked. I smiled and nodded, remembering that moment... How flustered I felt. "Then today, I almost kissed you but stopped. I knew that Jungkook or Taehyung were going to stop me." He said. He leaned in closer to me like he did this morning, stopping one centimeter in front of me. "I'm really hoping that this third time, I will actually get to kiss you." He said. I blushed. "But that's only if you'll let m--" before he could finish, I leaned in and kissed him. I felt him smile as he kissed me back. It felt amazing. It felt magical. We moved rhythmatically and as if our mouths were dancing together. My heart was exploding with excitement. The kiss lasted forever... Until we ran out of breath. We pulled apart and he looked at me. I looked back at him and we shared eye contact.

"I love you." He said. I was shocked by the sudden confession but my heart warmed up as I smiled.

"I love you too." I said. "But um... Can we continue this moment on the canoe?" I asked.

"Oh, of course." He said. We swam back to the canoe and got on. The cold air against my wet clothes made me shiver. Jimin took the jacket he brought with him and put it over my shoulders as he wrapped me in his arms.

"Let's go back. I don't want you to catch a cold." He said. I nodded and we paddled back to the port. Then, we went to the bathroom and changed into our dancing clothes. Luckily, we had them in our bags. When I went back out, Jimin had a taxi waiting so we hopped on.

"Can you please turn on the heater?" Jimin asked the driver. I was still cold but I was happy.

"Heck of an anniversary." I laughed. "But I loved it. I wouldn't have changed a thing about it." I said.

"Really?" Jimin asked. I nodded. Then he smiled. "Then can I have another kiss?" He asked. My heart started to beat faster as I leaned in. Soon, our lips met again and I felt a burst of happiness. After a few moments, we broke apart, smiled at each other, and snuggled up together for warmth. Then, I closed my eyes and let his embrace protect me as I played with the charm bracelet he gave me. ...

"Jamie... We're home." Jimin said. I opened my eyes as I looked at him. He smiled at me. "Let's go?"

I nodded and we grabbed our bags and hopped off. We walked hand in hand towards my house and when we got to the front door, we stopped.

"Thank you for today Jiminie. I'm sorry I made us fall in the water." I said, feeling guilty.

"Don't apologize, because the water gave me the courage to kiss you." He said. I laughed.

"Goodnight Oppa." I said. He smiled.

"Goodnight. I love you." He said.

"I love you too... Go! It's cold out." I said and he nodded. After a last glance, I walked into my home and I leaned against the door. I took a deep breath as I smiled. What a perfect night.

Elizabeth came to me once she heard me come in.

"Oh your home! It's 8!" She said. "How was it?"

"I'm in love Elizabeth." I smiled. She smiled back, but in a more sad expression.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I need to talk to you. Let's go to your room." She said. I nodded and followed her up. Elizabeth closed the window and curtain and sat on my bed. I joined her.

"Jamie... How long do you plan to keep your relationship with Jimin?" She asked. My smile faded.

"I don't know... Hopefully really long. Why?" I asked.

"It's not that I don't support you. Your happiness means the world to me... But so does your safety. Your father is going to find out at one point and you and Jimin will be in danger." She said. I shook my head.

"I love Jimin. I won't let my stupid dad hurt him." I said.

"You know you can't stop him." She said.

"Well I also know I can't stop this. Elizabeth I'm finally happy again. I know I'm being selfish, but don't I deserve to be a little greedy?" I asked. She sighed.

"Your father asked me to look out for Jimin yesterday. He already suspects something between you two." She said. I started to feel a little panicked.

"What?" I asked. "Well... I just want to see where this goes. Please?" I asked. Elizabeth got up with a sad look.

"I wish it goes well Jamie, but I warned you." She said. With that, she walked out of the room, leaving me sad as well. I moved the curtains a bit and saw Jimin on his bed, looking at his phone. I love you Jimin... I love you.
