" sia... Are you done..? Let's go .."

lucas whispered in her ear which made her flinch

" hmm.. But I don't know what to do.." she said

" nothing.let's just walk around... If you will feel uncomfortable in some way, just tell me right away.. I will take care of the rest.. " he said and she nodded a yes

They walked around and she accidentally bumped with a guy who looked as if he is drunk... Suddenly she felt the same breathlessness she felt while touching that glass ball again..

" lucas.. That guy feels the same as that magic ball.. "

she said as she clenched her chest and panted.. Lucas threw something on him and hold her shoulder made her sit on the nearby bench..

" here.." he said..

"why do you always give me  chocolate milk...?"

"because that's my favourite.. So I always have them in my portal bag "

" portal bag..? Anyways it's my favourite too.."

she said as she slowly drank everything...

"sia.. Stay here.. I will come back.. If you feel like going anywhere.. Come back to this same place again ok..? " he said .

"OK.. Be safe" she said and he stared at her surprised before disappearing in thin air ...

She Sat there for a while and got bored.. She roamed around staring at every thing curiously soon she felt that again.. Her breathing hitched .. She saw another guy on rove covering his face walking past everyone in a hurry.. She followed him in distance and she saw some group of guys and screaming sounds...

She hide behind a wall and saw some black like smoke flying away and lucas is beating the shit out of everyone with magic not even his hands are used.. Those guys were flying on the air.. Screaming in pain...

She gasped when she saw him mercilessly killing those guys with his sword..

'that  sword is the black storm..!! The legendary sword mentioned in books made by a powerful sorcerer who is actually a Knight.. The greatest of combat magicians Behlem .I  Saw its picture in the book.. I read It needs a huge amount of mana to get activated.. Lucas must be really great..!! I sometimes forget he is the heir of the black tower..but  he acts too casual for all this fame.. Isn't he so cool..?!! ' she thought staring at him with a small smile ..

She slowly walked towards him and her whole body trembled when she felt that murderous aura around him..

'he really is so scary when he is  mad.' she thought and gulped..

" I told you to sit... You don't listen to others huh.." he mumbled as soon as he saw her.. His gaze softened a bit..

" is everything over now..?" she asked looking around

"nope..this Now only starts.. But not for us for that old man..." he said nonchalantly

"your master.?," she asked

"yep.. He will take of them.. I have to handle these children "

he said pointing at a big iron cage in which several children are locked in fainted state..

She gasped as soon as she saw them ...

"what happen to them..?" she asked staring at them worried

" they would have been kidnapped for some shitty  experiments  which turns them into  something they can use .." lucas said as he opened the cage.

" what to do now.?" she asked worried

" I don't know.. No doctor can  treat them as it's not a physical injury .. A priest would freak out seeing the mark in thier hands.. those good for nothing are only capable of showcasing that divine shot facade nothing useful" he said and sighed in frustration..

" first, let's take them to the tower..". He said and they teleported to the tower..

They finally made every children lay down on  the bed and athy covered them with blankets..

" if we unlock your magic and you train yourself well.. You can save people suffering  from black magic"

She remembered lucas 's words as she stared at them with a guilt filled face..

"sia.. Let's go up" he said as he dragged her upstairs as he saw her getting worried..

"huh.. Isn't this the same place..?! Then I was at black tower that day too.?!!" she asked surprised and he nodded a yes casually.

"wait here.. I will be back" he said and walked away... She roamed around the tower looking at everything excited.. She saw how a whole shelf of books were written by lucas

Athy's.p.o.v.

He is really amazing..!! I felt something behind my back and turned to see the master standing there staring at me smiling..

"princess athanasia welcome to our tower.. It's the first time lucas brought  someone to the tower.. Where is that brat..?" he asked smiling.

"hello lord magician.. It's my pleasure to meet you..." I said bowing and greeting him..

"lucas went out.. And please call me by my name..." i said and he smiled

" then you should also call me Uncle dear.." he said and I nodded a yes

"it feels weird to call a legendary magician as uncle.. But I will try" I said and he smiled

" Athanasia..come and sit.. How is your trip?" he asked.. I Told him everything and he nodded a yes  hearing me.

" hmm.. Thanks for your help dear.. We owe you.. And do you know what's more happier for me..? Lucas finally have a friend.." he said and giggled

" why..? Lucas never had a friend..? "

" yeah... He.. is a lonely child.. He is the son of a Duke of distant lands, they called me for help  saying their son is a monster..

At that time.. I was totally shocked to see how he lived in a huge separate mansion all by himself when he is only five years old.. Everyone feared him even his nanny won't Touch him.. They all thought of him and called him as monster

But he was a child blessed with tremendous mana.. He was  born with tremendous mana.. But it didn't ended up as a blessing to him..it separated him from his family..so I took Lucas with me and raised him.. He always avoid people and skinship..

He once told me he get reminded of how his family would freak out if they touch him that's why he hates it.. that idiot.. I was always worried  about him but it seems..the gods above  finally decided to make his life good... Please take good care of him athanasia. "he said caressing my head..

My heart felt heavy... I remembered how he used to  flinch  whenever I touched him.. Not now.. May be he got used to it..?

" what  are you Guys talking about..? " he asked entering the room.

" I am bad mouthing about you to athy" uncle said and he rolled his eyes

" sia.. Let's go.. Your nanny will search for you "he said and I got up..

" then I will Get going uncle. " I said bowing and he patted my back..

" why uncle..? Call him grandpa "lucas said and uncle  rolled his eyes this time.. Pfft.. These two and their bickerings

He get me back to my room and bowed to lily before fading out... Surprisingly he is good to lily.. He even tease and bicker with felix but not with lily..

I flopped in my bed and thought about everything... If I try, can I really save those children..? They didn't did anything wrong.. So it's ok to save them right.? . . .

I told lucas that I want to try helping the children and he is staring at me with a blank face for five minutes now

"that day..i told you all that because I have to.. But it's ok and completely justifiable if you chose not to" he said.

It feels like he can see right through me..

" but those children did nothing  wrong.. If I can, I should help them right..?"

I said and he is still staring at me.. It's hard for me to see his eyes straight.. They are too attractive for who  knows why .?

" then. Let's go.." he said and we teleported to his tower again..I am coming to the legendary tower where no one can enter daily like it's my another house..

I told everything to uncle and he is more than happy to help me..

" we can't release it at once.. It's dangerous.. So let's try realising little by little.. I will train you personally... Lucas you are Incharge of drop and picking her up safely" he said and lucas nodded yes.. That's how started my mana training class..

Lucas.p.o v..

"did  she fainted again..?" I asked as I  saw her lying down on the couch covered in blanket

" yeah.. Her mana is strong but her body is too weak to hold all this.. Now I think it's good thing that her powers were sealed.. We shouldn't release her full potential... She might die at that rate.." master said as he turned another page on his book.. He was recording the progress I think..

" take her back home.. " he said and I was about flick my finger.

" hey.. don't use magic.. Carry her you punk.. She can't take anymore magic  "he said...

I stood near her staring at her perplexed.. Is it OK to carry her..? Haah.. I don't know. I carried her in princess style and she is so light.. Light as feather

" then I will get going.. "I said and he is staring at me with a smirk.. This old man

I laid her down on the bed and covered with bedsheet.. Nowadays it become my habit to sit beside her and stare at her sleeping...

She is too beautiful to take my eyes off.. And I don't know why I feel something weird in my heart.. This sometimes feel like pervertic but I would just sit near her and stare at her for sometime.. I can't help it.. May be I am a pervert..

She suddenly twisted and turned in bed and jerked up from the bed panting... Her eyes terrified.. Sweating..

"sia.. Are you OK..?" I asked in a low voice and she slowly turned towards me..

" lu.. Lucas.." she called my name almost in a whisper breathing heavily...

"here drink this..." I said handing her a glass of water but her hands are trembling so  she  can't even able hold it well.. I think I have no choice left...

Athy's P. O. V..

He stood up and Sat beside me on the bed and fed me the water..my trembling is still there so I got no choice but to accept his help.. I gulped down the whole glass and let out a sigh..he gently patted my arm.. It feels so comforting ...

I never thought I would get comforted by this jerk.. I leaned back, my head on his shoulder and I felt him flinching for a moment his hand halted.. Then he slowly continued to pat me.

"thanks lucas" I mumbled and he is silent

"did you had a nightmare.?" he asked.. How come his voice become so gentle..?!! Is he really lucas..?

" it's not exactly a nightmare.. It's.. After coming back in time.. Sometimes I get reminded of my execution in sleep.. Everything would feel so real and I would end up feeling the same fear.. It's already twelth time I think.. Still the fear is the same.. Feeling like my head will be cut off.. It's so scary "I said and my eyes teared up..

No.. I don't want to cry in front of him.. It's ok to cry when I am alone but not now.. I don't want his sympathy... I held back my tears after trying so hard but it dribbled down so easily as soon as he gently caressed my head..

His hands are warm.. So warm that it's comforting..

" shall I kill those flies for you..?" he asked out of the blue and I looked up at him.. His face hardened as soon as he saw my eyes and he hesitantly bring his hand to wipe my tears..

"why are you making this ugly face..?" he asked wiping my tears..

Pftt.. Is this how you console a sad person..? But strangely he did.. I do feel better now..

"lily always say I am beautiful.. Anna felix and ces also does" I said and he stared at me dumbfounded before giggling

He look so pretty when he smile.. But he rarely do..

" hmm.. Now you look better.. Just don't cry.. It's ugly" he said and I stared at him with a blank face

" so do you want them dead..? I can kill them easily" he shrugged

" if I wanted them to be dead.. I would have did that myself. It's not.." I said

"then what is it... Our princess want?" he asked in a gentle tone

" I.. Want to forget everything and be happy.. That's what mom wants me to do.. But it's too hard for me.. I don't know what to do" I said and he gently caressed my head..

" it's ok.. Take your time.. And.. Don't try to be happy for your mom's sake .. You should be happy for yourself. You deserve that" he said with a gentle smile.

This jerk can be so sweet sometimes huh..?!! How come his words are tugging my heartstrings ..?!!

" that's easy to say than being done... Anyways thanks lucas" I said and he nodded a yes

" for now.. just sleep.." he said as he got up and my hands hold his on it's own...he turned towards me with a surprised face

" can't you stay with me..? Until I feel asleep" I mumbled looking down.. It's strange even to myself.. Why I want to rely on him..? Why I feel so comforted when he is with me..?!!

" sleep.. I was gonna sit here anyways.." he said and sit on the chair beside my bed..I still didn't let go of his hand..his warmth is too addicting.. He gently careesed my hair as I closed my eyes.. Feeling his gentle touches as I fell asleep
