Chapter 7

05:38, 19 March 2015

Camila was back in Miami for two days to see her family. She was home but something felt off. It didn't feel like home anymore. Camila walked through the door and set her luggage by the wall.

"Hello? Anyone home?" she called out.

"Kaki?"

Camila looked up and smiled. Her 16 year old sister, Sofia 'Sofi' Cabello, walked down the stairs with a huge smile plastered on her face. Sofi looked just like Camila, despite the huge age gap but she had grown into a beautiful young adult.

"Hi Sofi," Camila said as she hugged her sister, "I missed you."

"I missed you too," Sofi said as she hugged her back. Camila pulled away.

"So, where's mom and dad?" the older Cabello sister asked.

"They're out. Won't be back until later on," Sofi said.

"Um, you want something to drink? Water? Tea?"

"Water, will be fine. Thank you," Camila said.

"I'm glad you're home," Sofi said with a warm smile before she headed towards the kitchen. Camila felt her smile fade when Sofi walked away. She was home. She should feel like she was home but she didn't. She felt as if something was missing. Camila found herself on her phone, calling Lauren and the moment she heard her voice, Camila's face lit up as she smiled.

"Hey you," Camila said.

"Hey yourself," Lauren said cooly.

"Well, I just got to my parent's house. Turns out, they're actually out but Sofi's here," Camila said, "I just called to let you know that and that I miss you," she added.

"I miss you too, Camz," Lauren said as Camila's smile widened.

"You called me Camz," Camila said.

"Do you want me to call you something else?"

"No," Camila said as she sat on the steps of the stairs, "I love it when you call me that. I makes me feel special."

"You are special."

Camila smiled as she blushed. She looked up and saw Sofi coming back with a tall glass of water.

"I'll call you back, babe," Camila said.

"Okay. Tell Sofi I said hi."

"Will do."

"And Camz?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you," Lauren said.

Camila stood up, "I love you too," she said before she hung up.

"Who was that?" Sofi asked as she gave her sister the glass.

"Oh thanks," Camila said as she took the glass and took a sip.

"That was Lauren, actually. She said hi," Camila said.

"You still talk to her?"

"Yeah, I do. I sort of live in her apartment whenever I'm in New York. It beats staying in a hotel, alone," Camila said with a shrug.

"How is Lauren?"

"She's okay," Camila said with a reassuring smile.

"I'm glad," Sofi said.

The Cabello sisters spent the entire day catching up until their parents returned. They had dinner and caught up with one another and they had a nice time just chilling and hanging out. Camila felt slightly more at ease but she felt like something was missing. In the middle of the night, she found herself thinking about Lauren and that was when she realized that Lauren was the one that was missing.

~

Camila walked out of the airport and met up with Ally, who was waiting by the car.

"Hey Ally. Where's Lauren?"

"She's at the apartment. She wanted to be here but today's a bad day," Ally said.

"How come?"

"I'll tell you on the way," Ally said.

~

Camila walked through the door of Lauren's room.

"Lauren?"

The older woman just sat in her bed, staring at the window. Camila climbed onto the bed and knelt behind her and she wrapped her arms around Lauren's neck and rested her cheek on her head.

"Ally told me," she said.

"I didn't want you to see me like this," Lauren said as she looked down.

"Lauren, you're not weak," the brunette said.

"So you can't walk today. It's just a bad day. You'll be better tomorrow," Camila said.

"How would you know?"

"I have faith," Camila said, "And because you're the strongest person I know," she added as she kissed Lauren's cheek.

"C'mon, let's get you in bed. I'll bring the popcorn and movies," Camila said as she helped Lauren.

"Camz-"

"No, shut up. I want to," Camila said with a frown because she gave her a smile. She gave Lauren a chaste kiss on the lips before she left the room.

~

Camila was cuddling with Lauren on the bed as they watched The Fault In Our Stars. Camila rested her head on Lauren's chest as the older woman wrapped a protective arm around the brunette.

"Camila?"

"Hmm?"

"Will you stay with me?" Lauren asked.

Camila giggled, "I'm already staying with you, idiot," she said.

"No... I mean, move in with me," Lauren said.

Camila's smile dropped as she lifted her head and met Lauren's gaze, "Are you serious?"

"Yeah," Lauren said, "I realized that whenever you're not here, I just want you to come back as fast as possible because when you're here, you make it feel like home," Lauren said.

"When I'm with you, I feel like I'm home."

"So... Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao, will you be my girlfriend and move in with me?" Lauren asked, "I mean you're already staying here so why not make it official?"

Camila was at lost of words as tears welled up her eyes. Camila straddled Lauren and cupped her face with her hands as she agreed before planting a passionate kiss on her lips.

"I love you," Camila whispered after she pulled away.

"I love you too. So much," Lauren said.

"I know," Camila whispered with a low and raspy voice.

~

Camila walked out of the room to find Lauren in the living room, watching the television. Lauren looked up and smiled as the younger woman approached her and sat on her lap.

"Hey you," Camila said.

"Hey back," Lauren said as she wrapped her arms around her girlfriend.

"You're wearing my shirt," Lauren said as Camila blushed. She was wearing Lauren's purple flannel over her bra and underwear. She left the first few buttons open, revealing her chest and cleavage.

"I've always loved wearing your shirt remember?" Camila asked as she wrapped her arms around Lauren's neck.

"I remember," Lauren said with a smile as she kissed Camila's lips.

"What are you watching?" Camila asked as she looked at the screen. A small smile appeared on her lips.

"You're watching the Reflection Tour?"

"Yeah. Our first headlining tour," Lauren said.

Camila looked at Lauren as she continued, "A lot happened during that tour. It was probably the best tour because it was such a big step for us," Lauren said.

"I miss the girls," Camila said.

"Me too," Lauren said.

Camila's smile widened, "Hey Lauren?"

"Hmm?"

"What do you say we perform one last time as Fifth Harmony? We'd get the girls together and we'd sing the songs from our first album. What do you say?"

"Camz, you know I'd love to but I can't dance anymore. I can barely walk," she said.

"We don't have to. We could just sit down on stools and sing. Like our X Factor days. Please?"

"Why the hell not?"

Camila hugged her girlfriend happily before attacking the older woman's face with kisses.
