Chapter 15 A Devil According to an Idiot

15:56, 24 February 2016

I traveled slowly back home, not wanting to see my parents in their weak state.

I screamed in frustration.

" I still have to see those two idiots." I thought. An image of Comet apeared in thought and I blushed. I wanted to avoid the obvious, but even I had to admit, it was becoming harder and harder to conceal my feelings. Especially for. . . I mean from Comet.

I rubbed my hands over my eyes, suddenly feeling exhausted.

"When will it end?" I wondered.

Finally making back to the village, I hesitated for an unknown reason. A feeling in my gut told me I wouldn't like what what I was about to put myself through. I went on anyway, ignoring all my thoughts and became, as other call me, a hollow shell of anger.

I opened the back door to my house. I went the back way since I didn't want to see the villagers. I noticed Grandpa still hadn't come back yet. This was the longest meeting they've had since as far back as I could remember.

I ran up the stairs wondering of those idiots actually did their job.

"I'm back." I said entering the room.

"Welcome back, Freya." Mom said. She was sitting up in the bed and Dad was standing by the window, staring in the distance.

"At least they seem like their getting better." Thought to myself.

"So where's the medicine? " Mom asked. My face flushed pail as I remembered that I forgot to buy medicine.

"They didn't have any left." I quickly said.

"Too bad. Well the boys are in your room."

"They're in my what!?" I yelled at her. I scrambled out of the room and into my own. She was right, Bottonlout was laying in my bed and Comet was sitting at my desk. I realized that he had a journal in his hand when he turned to face me.

"What's this?" He asked casually. My heart was beating so rapidly I thought I might faint. That journal was the one where I wrote down everything about Stormcloud.

"That's known of you're business. " I calmly yet sternly said as a ripped it out of his hands.

"What's down at the beach ?" Bottonlout asked. I thanked the gods that whenever I was talking about Stormcloud I put 'it' instead of 'her'.

"Why are you guys in here anyway?" I asked. I was getting very frustrated with them.

"Your parents said we could." Comet said.

"Get out!" I yelled. I could feel my cheeks turn red.

"Man, everyone's right about you. You are a she-devil." Bottonlout snickered.

I could just feel my anger rising from my stomach to my head. I think I actually heard Comet growl at him.

I couldn't hold it in any more. I sprang at Bottonlout, grabbed him by the collar, and flung him to the ground. His eyes said that he was scared, and I was almost positive mine said 'get out' in blood.

Comet walked calmly in front of me and Bottonlout. He patted him on the shoulder before looking at me with soft eyes.

"Come on let's go." He said. Seeing Bottonlout scramble to his feet and stumbling out brought a small smile to my face. He seemed so weak at the moment and I don't know why that made me smile. I started to wonder if only a devil would smile at weakness. Which only made me feel worse.

It was hardly dark when I crawled into bed. What Bottonlout said stayed in my head all day. I gripped my hands into a fist and thought about it.

"A she-devil, huh?"
