Chapter 6. Kakashi's Redemption.

That was good ice cream.

But now I have to go meet my new sensei and teammates. I wasn’t really friends with Shino, he kind of creeped me out but I suppose I could give him a chance. I didn’t talk to Hinata much, but Kiba was a good friend I suppose. I think what drew me closer to him was Akamaru. Have you seen his puppy? He’s cuter than Naruto!

I walked into the academy building and saw my goup. I greeted them all and pat Akamaru on the head before sulking in the corner. 

 *2 Minutes later

“Hi, I’m Kurenai Yuuhi, you’re new sensei. Now, let’s do introductions. You, start.” She said, looking at Kiba. He nodded “I’m Kiba Inuzuka.” Next. “ Hi-hinata hyuga.” Hinata said shyly. “Shino Aburame.” Shino stated his name without hesitation. “Uh.. I’m Maki Hatake.” I said looking down at the ground, still sad about the whole team situation.

“You’re Hatake? So they put you on my team, eh? There’s been a mix up.”

My head perked up. “Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?”

“Yeah, you’re supposed to be on team…” She looked down at a paper she was holding.”

“7”

WHAT. YES. WHAAAAAAT. YEEEEEEEEEEEEES. I’M SO HAPPY. MY LIFE HAS BEEN MADE. MY DREAM COME TRUE.

“YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!” I screamed jumping up and down.

Kiba snorted. “Thanks A lot Maki.”

I pouted. “ Don’t worry, I’ll miss you… Akamaru!”

Kiba looked down, depressed. I smiled and ruffled his hair. “You too Kiba.”

He looked up and gave me a half smile.

“BYE GUYS HAVE A NICE LIFE!” I yelled and skipped out of the room. Hmm, wonder who my new sensei is. And why I was switched teams. Hmmmmmm.

**Kakashi's POV- during the lunch break

(The jounin teachers and hokage had been watching the students as Iruka called their teams.)

"Hatake, isn't that  your neice? She sure looked bummed about something." Asuma said to me.

i nodded, thinking about our conversation in the hospital, remembeing the promise that i'd made to myself to be there for her more often. That'd be a lot easier if she were on my  team...

Wait, didn't her team consist of 4 people and not the standard 3? If i could talk to Hokage-sama... Maybe MY team could be the one consisting of 4 genin. 

And Kurenai was a new jounin too, it'd be easier for her to handle three genin instead of four.

Yes, I'll talk to Hokage-sama. He should understand that i have my feelings of responsibility for teaching my dead brother's kid.

**Maki's POV

I calmed myself down a bit before I entered the academy building hoping my teammates were still in there.

They were. “Hey guys! There was a little switch up, turns out I’m on your team!!!!!” I squished all three of them into a hug. Yes, I was so happy that I gave Sakura a hug out of my own free will, and dared to bring sasuke in too.”

Naruto hugged me but Sasuke was trying to get out of the 4 man hug.

“Maki!!! Stop trying to touch Sasuke-kun, he doesn’t like it!” Sakura squealed.

I rolled my eyes and let the three of them go. Sakura could be so much better. If only she weren’t so hung up on Sasuke.

Maybe I’ll try to hook her up with another Konoha guy. Or I could try to knock some sense into that girl. Yeah, I’ll try the second one.

“So, where’s our sensei?” I asked.

“LATE!!!!!” Sakura and Naruto screamed.

I sighed. “ You know what this means, right Naruto?” I smirked.

Late, Huh? I had a pretty good idea who our sensei was.

And of course, by my luck, I’d get stuck with him. Then again, you gotta give something to get something, right?

I’d deal with it. Besides, he was a skilled man no matter how much I disliked him. He could teach me what his brother couldn’t.

That’s right ladies, and gentlemen. My Sensei.

AKA my uncle. The only and only.

Kakashi Hatake. 

"Maki, i don't think we should... Naruto said hesitantly.

huh, that's weird. Normally he'd jump right at it.

"Uh.. What does it mean?" Sakura asked.

"Well.. if our sensei is late, that just give us time to wreak havoc on the hidden leaf village of course." I grinned evilly.

"But Maki, we don't know who this guy is. Besides, I want to meet my new sensei!"Naruto said.

“Awwh but you’re my rebel buddy! Besides, I bet I already know who the guy is.  But whatever, I can go by myself this one time. Stay and meet the sensei.” I waved him off nonchalantly when he looked like he was about to argue.

I looked around the room. “Anyone else?” I offered. “Guess not. Mmkay, peace!” I said like I was cool.

I’ll let you in on a secret.

I’m really not cool. I just pretend to be xD

So yes, I was running around the streets of Konoha being a rebel.

I took a couple of spray paint cans and started spraying paint on the side of a random building.

I was in the midst of signing my name on the bottom of my masterpiece, when the owner comes out with a broom.

Ohhhhhh shit.

I took off with an angry old man chasing me down the streets of Konoha with a broom.

Like I said, rebel. xD

*Kakashi's P.O.V

"Hmm, let's see. my first impression of you four...morons. They all sweatdropped and looked momentarily depressed. I looked around.

"Wait a second.. where's Maki?" I asked.

"Hey! you're Maki's uncle!" Naruto yelled. I sighed. So they were on the same team. Those two were trouble makers put together. Just my luck.

"Maki just went to help this elderly lady carry her bags into her apartment." Naruto said, probably covering for his best friend. 

"Whatever, i'll just lecture her later for whatever she did." I said. "Let's go to the top of the roof."

Maki's P.O.V

Yeah, i'm all beat up and bruised. People really don't favor rebels in this town huh? 

I walked back to the academy with a black eye. I looked up and saw Kakashi's back. So they were on the roof. Heh, so he finally showed up.

Well, i better prep myself for a lecture while i walk up to the roof. 

Actually, let's have a bit of fun...
