- Chapter 29 -

21:02, 14 June 2021

"Harry watch out!" I shout while shooting a hex at one of the death-eaters who was coming for him, my spell hits the Death-eater square in the chest however and he instantly goes down. Harry shoots me a quick thankful look before continuing his fight with Lucius Malfoy.

Once we got to the Ministry of Magic, Harry led us to some peculiar room in which they keep all sorts of prophecy's about people and events, the room was filled with thousands of small crystal balls; it truly looked magnificent. Harry was absolutely confident that Sirius was kept there, but once we got the right spot he wasn't there. Nobody was. Except for this one prophecy which apparently was about Harry himself. He took it from the shelf and the minute he did, we got cornered by Death-eaters. Sirius was never here, we walked right into Voldemort's trap. It didn't look good but we managed to get out, although now here we are. More Death-eaters have shown up, as well as some members of the order. Including Sirius. I was extremely glad to see my father unharmed. Severus also came, as a Death-eater of course. It still hurts to see him fight against us, although I know he isn't using his skills nearly as well as he could.

The prophecy is already broken and now we are just fighting, fighting for god knows what. Fighting for our lives. I have managed to knock out a few Death-eaters but they just seem to keep showing up and I don't know how long we are going to be able to do this.

"Awh is little Eva helping dear Harry?" Bellatrix cackles while making her way toward me. I send her a challenging look.

"Why, afraid?" I ask. She gives me a glance that could kill.

"How dare you," She sneers while sending a few hexes my way. I deflect them one by one, as well as sending my own her way occasionally. She also deflects them with ease.

"You really think you're something, don't you?" She asks, her voice is filled with amusement indicating that she genuinely enjoys this. I despise her.

"I don't have to think that for it to be true, or do you think it works that way?" I ask her. I probably shouldn't challenge her right now but I just can't help myself.

"What a big mouth for such a small girl, you could never be anything you know that right? Your own family doesn't even want you," She says while continuing to send spells my way.

For a moment I don't know what's happening, all that is going through my mind is her comment. How could she know, I know that she is family but that shouldn't mean she would know. How can she? And then the spell hits me, she used the few seconds I was lost in thought to knock me down. I fly against the wall with full force. I try to get up but my head won't work. While blinking a couple of times to get my eyes to function again I can see her walking towards me.

She speaks again when she is standing right in front of me, "I thought so, have fun dying knowing nobody cared for you," At that moment she lifts her hands to finish me. A devilish grin covers her face, I fucking hate her. I know I should be thinking something sentimental since I will be dying in a few short seconds, but nothing comes to mind except for the fact that I want to punch that fucking grin off her ugly face.

"Avada Keda—" She yells but before she can finish the spell she gets hit by another spell and gets flown sidewards although she quickly catches her feat again. She now turns to the one responsible. Severus is now standing in front of her, while Bellatrix is now standing only a few feet from me, and his wand is raised. His face looks as cold and distant as ever.

She begins to laugh. "Oh so someone does care, how interesting," She says. "This only makes it all the more fun" She has turned towards me again while speaking. A wicked smile on her face. I can see Severus standing nailed to the ground, watching with dread. Although his face seems emotionless, I can see he is doing everything in him not to send Bellatrix flying again because he know he can't. And I know he can't, I wouldn't even want him to, he should not risk his position for me.

"Let's have some fun shall we?" She cackles while raising her wand.

"Crucio" She yells and immediately it feels like I'm actually dying. The pain is unbearable. I grind my teeth together and ball my fists in order not to scream out. It feels like I'm being stabbed by a thousand daggers at once. No, a million more like it, while I'm being trampled by a couple of giants. I try to open my eyes, and can briefly see Severus standing motionless while keeping his eyes trained on me. His eyes look distant though as if he is watching but not truly seeing. I want him to turn around, I don't want him seeing me like this. But I can't get any words out.

"You stay the fuck away from my daughter!" I can hear somebody yell before the pain stops and I'm left trembling on the floor. I can now see Bellatrix walking towards Sirius, who cast a spell in order to stop her. They are now occupied in a fierce battle, the spells are flying everywhere and I can see Harry standing next to Sirius fighting some other Death-eater.

Only now I see the veil that's standing behind Sirius, who is slowly walking backward, straight at the veil. He is coming too close to it, and I know how this will end if I don't stop it. I need to stop it.

I try to stand up but fall down immediately again after having propped myself onto one knee. I curse myself, this isn't working. I look around but can't seem to find my wand anywhere. I need to do something. I am just about to yell at him to step away, but it's too late. I see the spell hitting him and I know it's too late. He is gone.

The last thing I see before blacking out is Harry screaming and Remus pulling him back, pulling him back from following Sirius because there's no use. He's gone. My dad is gone.
