Fifteen
21:35, 18 May 2020"Play Frozen! Play Frozen now! Andyyyyyyyyy play Elsa!" Maddie bounced in her car seat as the car sat immobile in the driveway of the mansion.
All J could do was grit his teeth and try not to kill her. We haven't even left yet and I already want to jump out of the car.
"Maddie stop that nonsense right now," Andy ordered, not sure where all this energy had come from.
Was it just yesterday that she pretended we didn't exist?
This scheme had been sprung on Tommy and Andy late the night before.
After bringing Maddie dinner which they had to coax her to eat (which was weird because she'd refused to eat before and they'd had to force feed her), the two had retired to their bedroom. It had been 11:34 when a messenger had been sent to tell them about the trip the following day.
They had taken it well. Andy didn't faint, though he wanted to, and Tommy's jaw dropped. So that's why she ate today.
The pair had scrambled to pack their bags, panicking only slightly. That is, until they realized that they needed to pack Maddie's stuff up too. When this revelation came, Tommy had yanked Andrew out of their room and down the hall to Maddie's.
She was asleep when they had burst in, was being the operative word there because she had jumped awake as soon as the door flew open. Both caretakers were forced to make a conscious effort to calm down so they wouldn't freak her out further.
"Maddie, honey, your daddy has planned for us to go to Disney World tomorrow morning, so we need to pack up your stuff to take with us," Andy had informed her.
And her face lit up like a Christmas tree.
Andy and Tommy were still shocked when she leaped out of bed and took it upon herself to start packing as her excitement grew and grew.
Which leads us to her near temper tantrum in the mini van.
Andy finally acquiesced and turned on the radio, which Tommy had connected to his Pandora. Tom quickly selected Disney radio and put his phone down, quieting Maddie as she started humming happily to "Hakuna Matata".
J sighed in relief at her silence.
"How long is this drive again?" He asked wearily.
"Twenty hours if we don't stop," came Frosty's amused reply as he opened his door and climbed out of the vehicle.
"Where do you think you're going?" Joker demanded.
"With you here, boss, someone intelligent has to drive the weapons van," he smiled before closing the door back and striding away.
All J could do was growl out in annoyance. As the mini van rolled out as the first car of many, he began to think through the necessary steps to take over Disney for a day.
It'll need to be at night, though it'll be easier if some of the men hide out in the park. Keeping the hackers in after closing will allow them to shut down their servers from the inside so the rest of the guys can be brought in to take out security and get the park under lockdown. The last thing we'd want to do is trigger some alarms and get the police involved, at least not until we're ready to leave. Get some hostages as a safeguard in case something goes down. Plus we'll probably need a few ride operators to run the rides for Maddie so none of my moronic men screw it up and get her killed.
With those thoughts in mind Joker pulled out a cell phone and quickly dialed the number of one of his techies. He had arranged it so that his men of similar skill sets were in vehicles together.
"Yes, Ian? I need you and your boys to find out everything about Disney's technical systems. You better be prepared to shut them down by the time we get there," he ordered before hanging up. No other words were needed considering that what was left unsaid was far more important. The 'or else' was simply implied.
Maddie didn't appear to have heard his brief phone call. She was wailing along to some Disney song that Joker couldn't put a name to. Andy and Tommy probably didn't hear him over her either, but they didn't have to. They had to know that this was no normal family trip to Disney World. Who would let the Joker in, no questions asked? And Joker simply didn't do undercover without revealing himself later or blowing something up. Or both.
Sadly though, he didn't think that Madeline would take kindly to blowing up the happiest place on Earth or mass murdering its inhabitants like a bunch of pigs on slaughtering day. She may have to deal with a little murder though. I can't control who gets on my nerves and who doesn't.
So a Mission Impossible style takeover seemed the best way to go. Joker knew that it wouldn't be easy. Surely an establishment like Disney World had safeguards upon safeguards for people like him, though he doubted that they'd be able to do much if someone really powerful decided that they wanted to take the amusement park for a joyride.
J was already thinking through necessary steps in his head, both to ease the mission and to tune out Maddie's obnoxious singing.
"Tommy, why don't we put on a movie for her back there? We've got the drop down screen and headphones, that should occupy her for a bit," Andy suggested quietly as he drove. Tommy nodded, thinking that his idea was a good one. He thumbed through some of the movies that they'd brought and found Frozen. Tom smiled happily and plopped the disc into the player and pushed the button that would drop the mini screen down in the back seat.
"Madeline, honey, go ahead and turn on your headphones and put them on if you wanna watch Frozen," Andy instructed as Tommy turned off his Pandora.
Maddie squealed, snatching the headphones out of their holder and configuring them properly as she shoved them over her ears. Soon the movie began to play out in her ears and on the screen.
Thank God, J thought as silence reigned once more. Maybe this trip won't be so bad after all.

I changed my mind, J decided after the second straight hour of screaming.
Maddie had been good for the first five hours, watching a couple of movies and munching on the snacks Tommy handed back to her.
But now she was done.
She was tired of being cramped in the same car seat and she was hungry for more than some goldfish crackers darnit!
Tommy and Andy had assumed that it would stop. They continued to think that way for the first half hour. Tommy turned up the radio after the first hour. He put in earplugs thirty minutes later and handed a pair each to his boyfriend and his boss. Now the hope was that she would cry herself to sleep.
They didn't stop because the plan had been a straight drive down to lessen the travel time and assure that they arrived in the night, in accordance with J's master plan. Now his master plan just seemed asinine with a screaming child in the backseat with him.
"Mr. Joker, sir. What do you want to do about this?" Andy shouted over the din, not for the first time.
"Fucking fine," J muttered to himself and then continued louder. "Take the next exit. Thomas, notify the convoy."
Andy located the next exit sign, which notated that the next exit would be in three miles. Tommy picked up the radio and told Frost and the other vans about the upcoming exit.
Meanwhile, Madeline had not ceased her screaming. She was tired and hungry and frustrated and so done with this road trip.
And she was the one that wanted to take this damn trip in the first place, Joker growled in his head.
Soon enough the exit arrived and Andy quickly took it, trailing the SUVs in front of him. He could see the blacked out SUVs following slowly from the half mile or so of distance between them in the rear view mirror as well. It would look really suspicious if a bunch of government looking cars were trailing a blue minivan from Gotham to Orlando.
They'd had to be especially careful leaving Gotham. The mini van had left somewhere in the middle of all the SUVs, looking like a normal commuter stuck in the midst of government cars.
"Maddie, we're pulling over somewhere to get some food. Where do you want to go?" Tommy asked loudly, not bothering to consult J.
Both knew that the end result would be the same anyway.
Maddie stopped her screaming for a moment to consider this question, gradually falling out of her hysterics.
"I don't know... I don't know any food places," she answered shyly.
Tommy felt his heart swell for the poor girl. She's never eaten anything outside of what we've given her or she's scavenged on the street.
"Well I think I know a meal that will make you happy," Andy quipped, seeing a McDonald's sign.
The other vehicles split off to get their own meals, only one following them to the Golden Arches.
Andrew pulled into the drive thru with the intent to get the gang lunch.
"Um, Mr. Joker, sir, do you want anything?" He asked before they reached the order box.
"You call me either boss or Mr. J. And get me a burger and fries. With a Coke," he said grudgingly.
Andy gulped and pulled forward, as the car in front of them had already gone. He ordered a nugget happy meal for Madeline and a meal of burger and fries for everyone else in the car, not forgetting his employer's requested Coca Cola.
J hunkered down in the back as they approached the window, not wanting to be spotted and make things messy. Luckily the transaction went on without incident and soon they were all munching happily on greasy fast food.
They pulled into a parking spot to eat, as Maddie wanted out of the car seat and she wanted out now. Tommy got out and unbuckled her, letting her sit in the seat beside her as J was in the way back. She opened up her little meal box and pulled out the nuggets and tiny fry box. She was also surprised to find a toy wrapped in plastic.
She opened it to find, ironically, a Batman toy. Just as J was about to go off, she recognized the figure as the scary man at the fair and promptly threw it out her open window. J could only smirk.
Soon everyone was done eating, and it was only then that they realized that Madeline was asleep in her seat.
While Andy went to throw away their trash, Tommy went over to Maddie and gently picked her up, setting her down in the car seat. She opened her eyes before Tommy could buckle her in. Her eyes began to water, and acting quickly, Joker moved into the seat next to her and pulled her out of her car seat, placing her on his lap.
Madeline calmed almost immediately, closing her eyes and nodding back off. Andy and Tommy couldn't say anything seeing as they had no words. Neither of them thought to comment on the illegality of his actions or that it was dangerous to ride like that. It wouldn't faze him.
That was the way the rest of the drive went. They were able to make up lost time and then some, driving for as long as they could while Maddie was still asleep on J's lap.
They arrived at sunset and J booked a hotel room for his charge and her caregivers while he and his boys worked out the plan and began infiltration.
While Maddie was peacefully sleeping, J's men were scoping out the technical layout of Disney's servers. He'd sent two vehicles full of his men straight to Disney to get in the legal way and stay the illegal way.
His plans went off without a hitch.
The hackers managed to hideout and sneak their way underground and to the server rooms with minimal detection. And J's muscle quickly took care of the guards they encountered, taking over the entrance gates and securing them purely for J's benefit.
By the time seven rolled around the next morning, the Joker had taken over Disney World. And no one knew it.
Yet.
