Chapter 8

(AN: okay so i'm very lucky that i got this up because i finished and wrote chpt 8 and then it didnt save and EVERYTHING got deleted but being the overachiever im not i finished it! enjoy)

HARRY'S POV

I grabbed Kai's hand and instantly sparks of electricity shocked my whole arm and traveled around my whole body. How does one girl I barely know do this to me? I just met her but I feel like I've known her my whole life. It's different when I'm around her, I know cheesy but it's true. I lead her to the front door and we were about to walk outside but I forgot to let everyone know we were leaving.

"ME AND KAI ARE GOING TO THE MALL BE BACK WHENEVER WE FEEL LIKE IT!!" I screamed

I waited for an answer from anyone but no one replied. I shrugged and we began to walk down the hallway. We were staying in a hotel because we were in the middle of a tour. We were taking a two week break and we were already three days into the two week break. We always got really nice suites when we stayed places. That was one of the perks of being famous. On the other hand I realized we were going to be facing paparazzi. I'm aware Kai doesn't know we are One Direction. I don't mean to be   cocky, but I was pretty surprised. It's nice having someone who doesn't know you as Harry Styles from One Direction and they get to know just me, Harry. So if Kai likes me, I know she'll like me for me, not for my fame. That's why for now I want to keep One Direction a secret from her as long as possible. I know that might be difficult with the fans, and paparazzi and all, but a boy can try. Right?

 We exited the hotel and I mentally prepared myself for fans or paparazzi but surprisingly there wasn't any. I assumed it was because me and the boys haven't left the hotel since we brought Kai with us.  I traced down a taxi and we hopped right in. Of course I had Kai go in first being a gentleman. 

"Where to?" the taxi driver asked

"Erm, the closest mall please." i replied

"Dont i know you from somewhere?"

Shit. "Uhh... maybe I just look like someone you know?"

He shrugged, put on the radio and began to drive. 

That was a close one. I turned to Kai and I watched her staring out the window. I can tell what she was thinking about, and I wanted to know what. 

"What are you thinking about?" I asked

She turned her head and looked at me. Darn she had the most gorgeous green eyes anyone would fall for. I felt myself melting into her eyes and I just wanted to stare at them all day. I realized I zoned out and didn't hear her reply. Ooops.

"Wait what?" I asked

She giggled and began to blush. "I said, nothing really. Oh and by the way Harry, you cannot buy me anything while we're at the mall okay? We can just hang out and go window shopping."

I scoffed, "That's why we're going sweetheart. Of course I'm getting you stuff! It's a shopping spree for clothing! You need some clothes, you can't just keep wearing my boxers and shirts to sleep."

She smirked, "Who says I can't?"

I raised and eyebrow as if I was questioning her.

She finished, "besides I like wearing your clothes."

Why did she have to go and say that? My heart fluttered and I felt my cheeks get warm. I love hearing those words come out of her mouth. I know those were just words she uses everyday but she doesn't know the effect she has on me.

I laughed, I realized I didn't have her phone number. What if she got lost in the mall? Eh, Styles we all know I just want her number... anyways I should probably ask now since the conversation is dieing down.

"Erm Kai?"

She nodded her head.

"Erm can I have your phone number?"

She looked down at her hands and became stiff. Darn it, she is going to reject me and I'm gonna be embarassed. What should I say when she says no? Oh yeah I guess not or just kidding I didn't want it! No that's so stupid. I stopped thinking and just looked at her. She was biting her lip and she looked really shooken up by the question.

"Kai...?"

She snapped out of it and said, "I don't have... a phone."

Oh. Well that wasn't a bad answer, I thought she was going to flat out say no weirdo. Okay, does she not have a phone because she's poor? What teenage girl doesn't have a phone? It doesn't make a difference if she was poor, I'm just curious. 

"Well that makes one more thing on our to get list at the mall."

She realized what I meant, "Harry no you can't buy me a phone that's just too m-"

"We're here." I cheekily smiled

She stopped arguing and before we got out of the taxi, I pulled my hood over my head and put my sunglasses on. When we were both ready I paid the taxi driver and grabbed Kai's hand and led her out of the taxi. We walked into the mall and I held open the door for her. I was feeling a bit confident and a bit over protective at the same time so I took my chances and put an arm around her shoulder. At first she was startled and tense but then she eventually relaxed and got snug. Phew. 

"So first things first, your phone" I said

She began to protest but I stopped her as we walked into At&t. It took a while to activate her phone and since she was getting a phone for maybe the first time I got her the iphone 5. Why not right? She almost gasped and thanked me like twenty times. I activated it and we walked out of at&t and I led her over to the gigantic water foutain in the middle of the mall. We sat on the ledge, and I grabbed her phone out of her hands and I took a selfie of us. I then set that as my contact picture and punched in my number and sent a text to my phone. Yes, one point to Harry Styles. 

"So what type of clothes do you like?"

She shrugged. I nudged her with my arm.

"Cmon, you have to know what type of clothes you like. How about stores?"

She perked up a little and said "Wet Seal" a bit too fast.

I grabbed her hand with mine and we walked into Wet Seal. I told her to pick out an outfit so she can wear it when we leave the store because currently she was in mine sweats and tshirt. I quickly learned her style. It was a Cher Lloyd type of style. She bought black spiked combat boots with a tshirt that had a pair of gold sequin lips to it with high waisted jean shorts that had plenty of rips and tears and a fake leather black jacket and boy let me tell you she looked good. I smiled and wished one day I could call her mine. We bought her a BUNCH of other clothes that could last her a LONG time. After about going to many stores such as Hollister, Victoria's Secret, Rue 21, Forever 21, and Charloette Rousse.

"I'm pooped, are you hungry?" I asked

She smiled, "I thought you'd never ask."

I took her hand in mine and we walked to the food court. We ordered a pizza and one drink to share. I could've bought another one but it was my excuse to share one. I laughed to myself and we sat down at a table in the food court. We were eating happily and I looked up to see Kai quickly devour her whole pizza.

I laughed, "Whoa there Kai."

She blushed and ate slower. She was so cute and adorable, I got lost in my thoughts until... shit.

"Harry- Harry Styles?" I looked up and assumed it was a fan.

She was about 16 and she was going to blow my cover.

"Hi erm how are you?" I didn't know what to say.

Of course my cover's blown, there's no way of keeping it a secret now. Shit.

"Can we take a picture?" she asked

"Uh yeah."

We took the picture and I quickly said bye and continued eating as if nothing happened. I was kind of hoping she wouldn't ask and I could've gotten away with it. Of course I didn't.

"What was that?"

"I erm nothing, are you done? Wanna go?"

She nodded and I could tell she was still suspecting something so I would sooner or later have to tell her. I choose later. We got up and I carried all of her bags for her and took my free hand in hers and we walked outside and we were the taxi I called was already there. With my luck a swarm of paparazzi came out of no where and began taking pictures and asking questions,

"Who is she?"

"Is that your girlfriend?"

"What's her name?"

Shit. I quickened my pace and put my head down and walked directly towards the taxi. We got in and told the taxi where to. I knew I had explaining to do.

"Harry what was that all about?"
