She's gone too
04:29, 12 July 2025Another few years had passed, Peregrine was 12, and Kingsley was 10. Peregrine in the living room, reading a book, and Kingsley in his room, playing with his toy cars. Peregrine was enjoying her wonderful book. She's into mystery or fantasy books. Anything that has one of those genres will instantly interest and impress her. Kingsley was enjoying his wonderful toy cars. He's always into monster trucks or a Ferrari. Everytime he sees a Ferrari, he will instantly jump with excitement.
Cassie was coming home from a party, but she was sobbing because she went to a party without Eric. Oh how she missed him. It was very dark out and her eyes were getting foggy from the tears. She couldn't see. It was too dark, and she was still drunk from the party prior, which was not good at all. She was almost blind to the point where she drove herself into a lake. The car began to sink and she couldn't get out. The water was too strong, and she drowned.
Peregrine was reading her book when she heard the phone ring from the kitchen. It was again the hospital. They explained in full detail how her mother had passed away. They eventually hung up before Peregrine dropped the phone. She stood there and stared straight ahead. She zoned out, trying to process what had just happened. It was a moment before she fell to the ground and started sobbing. Her loud sobs had alerted Kingsley and caused him to come out of his room. He was curious on what was going on.
Peregrine heard Kingsley's steps. She stood up, turned around and walked right over to him. "YOU ARE THE REASON MOM DIED. IT'S YOUR FAULT. YOU TOOK MY PARENTS AWAY FROM ME. I HATE YOU, AND I WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN!" Peregrine screamed at her little brother. He stood there. Kingsley had scraped his knee a few hours prior from stripping on a branch on the concrete. It just felt like the pain in his knee had vanished. He walked back into his room with no emotion at the moment.
As soon as he walked into his room. Kingsley locked the door behind him. He sat down on the floor, and sobbed his eyes out. "Is it really my fault that our parents are dead? Why doesn't Peregrine love me? What did I do?" Kingsley said as he cried his eyes out. He cried until he was all out of tears. He didn't understand why all of this was happening. He would rather have his parents around and be abused than have them dead. Kingsley missed his old relationship with Peregrine. Thinking about it left a sting in his chest. He couldn't take it anymore.
