Chapter Twelve

Can's POV

Can: "Let's break up"

As soon as those words came out everything went silent

Tin froze and looked at me

Tin: "What?"

Can: "I-I said let's break up" when I repeated myself I saw tin's eyes go cold and hard

Can: "I-I'm sorry, I just don't know what I really feel for you and I feel like it's gonna be complicated because of how you are"

Tin: "so you're saying I'm the problem."

Can: "no, it's just that I don't think in the long run it'll work out"

He stood up from the chair

Tin: "So this is what you really want?" I looked up at him and there was an expression on his face I had never seen before, I could tell it was disappointment mixed with pain

I looked down and nodded

Tin: "Remember that you were the one to choose this."

He started walking away and I felt intense pain in my chest, it felt like I was becoming empty

Tin's POV

"Let's break up"

I don't know why but those words kept replaying in my head

I didn't know what to feel or what to do so I left

Tin: "I knew I shouldn't have trusted him, but in the end I couldn't help falling for him, it's all my fault"

My mind went back to when one of my closest friends betrayed me when I was in high school

Tin: "What's the point of trusting someone if they'll leave you in the end?"

I had these thoughts as I drove home

I made it to my house and walked in

Bzzzt!

I felt my phone vibrate, I looked at it and noticed it was a text

Pete: Hey

Tin: hey

Pete: Are you okay?

Tin: did he tell you?

Pete: Yeah, he did

Tin: well, no I'm not okay

Pete: I know he hurt you but understand him, he's confused about his feelings, he's never been in a relationship or even with a guy, he's just confused right now

Tin: why? What's the point?

Pete: Because you love him and he does too

Tin: if he loved me he wouldn't have broken up with me

Pete: he's confused, but believe me he loves you

I sighed and shut off my phone, I really didn't feel like talking to anyone

I went up to my room to take a nap

Can's POV

I went home and went to the living room

I picked up my phone and called techno

Techno: "hello?"

Can: "I did it"

Techno: "are you okay?"

Can: "I don't know"

Techno: "do you want to meet at the park?"

Can: "yeah"

I left my house and walked to the park

I saw techno sitting at a bench and went up to him

Techno: "Hey"

Can: "Hi"

Techno: "so what happened?"

Can: "I broke up with him, I told him I didn't want to be with him anymore"

Techno: "what did he say?"

Can: "he asked me if I was sure and I said yeah then he left"

Techno: "don't think too much about it"

Techno: "I don't know him that well but I could tell he's complicated, maybe it's better this way"

Can: "yeah....I guess so"

Techno: "Just don't think too much about it"

Techno: "our exams are coming up so we'll get a break soon"

Can: "I know"

Techno: "what do you plan to do?"

Can: "I was going to hang out with Pete and Are but they're going to go visit their families over the break"

Techno: "You can hang out with me and the seniors instead"

Can: "okay, thanks techno"

Techno: "for what?"

Can: "just for always being there for me"

Techno: "you're welcome you monkey, you know I care about you and the other guys in the team" I smiled and he playfully ruffled my hair

A couple weeks later

Ae: "Finally!! We're done with finals"

Can: "Is it just me or did they seem way more difficult this year?"

Ae: "I'm pretty sure it's just you" ae chuckled

Pete: "we can also finally go home"

Ae: "also sorry that we can't hang out during the break"

Can: "it's okay, I already have plans with Techno and his seniors"

Ae: "that's good, just be careful because you know how some of them are"

Can: "I will"

Pete: "okay then, were gonna head out now, text us if you need anything"

Can: "okay, bye guys"

Pete&Ae: "Bye can"

After they left I started to head home

Can: "I should get some snacks in the nearby convenience store"

I remembered that the nearest one on campus was near the IC building

Can: "whatever let's just go" I gave it a second thought but I decided to just go

I walked to the convenience store and bought snacks, I looked around the parking lot but didn't see Tin's can parked there

Can: "he must've already left" 'Wait, why am I even thinking of him?'

I shook the thought out my head and walked home

Can's mom: "hey honey, how'd exams go?"

Can: "I don't think I did that well"

Can's mom: "it's okay it's barely your second year, as long as you do well and study it'll be okay" I nodded and went to my room

I watched a couple TV shows and before I knew it, it was already night time

I looked at my phone and saw a text from techno

Techno: I'm meeting with some seniors to celebrate the end of exams, want to come?

Can: at what time?

Techno: We agreed to meet in an hour

Can: okay I'll go

Techno: we'll meet in front of the Natpon bar near campus

Can: okay I'll be there

Techno: okay, text me when you're almost there

I went downstairs

Can: "Mom, I'm going to go out with techno and some friends"

Can's mom: "okay honey, don't come home too late"

Can: "Okay" I went upstairs and took a shower

I looked through my closet and chose this outfit

The time was 9:01 so I grabbed my phone along with some money and headed out

Can: on my way

Techno: Me too, I'll be there in a couple minutes

I took the bus and got to the bar

I stood outside the bar and saw some seniors also waiting for techno

After a couple minutes techno finally came

Techno: "I'm here, let's go in"

We went inside and got a table

Techno: "What do you want to order? It's on me"

Can: "I just want fries"

Techno: "no drinks?"

Can: "water" he nodded

The waitress came and everyone started ordering

After being there for a few hours everyone started to go home

Techno: "want to leave now?"

Can: "yeah, it's already getting late"

Techno: "okay, I'm gonna stay for a bit longer but you can go" I stood up and walked through the crowd on people

I was near the door when something caught my eye

Can: "Tin?"
