Years later...

Marcy should be happy. She was marrying the loves of her life in a few hours, she should've been over the moon.

Don't get me wrong, she was getting bonded with the two women she was head over heels for her entire life, but there was also something else on her mind.

Her father wasn't there.

Yeah, her father did disown her and all, but she still loved him with all her heart. He hasn't come and it had been hours. Marcy sent him both paper and digital invite, he had to come, he had to...

Next to her, her best man twenty one year old Sprig fiddling with his tie. Sprig had been amazing throughout the past few weeks and Marcy hated how part of her still wished the man across from her had black hair and looked like her, she wished her father was there. He should be there.

It was her fathers dream to see her be in a happy relationship and get married to the person she loved but she just had to get married to a girl, and two girls at that.

"You excited?" Sprig asked, pulling on his jacket.

"Uh, yeah." Marcy said, but her eyes were still fixated on the door.

Marcy fiddled with her wedding dress sleeve. She was wearing a white poofy dress with a butterfly design in the middle of her chest and fairy wings with sparkles and diamonds. Her, Sasha, and Anne all agreed to not see each others clothes until the isle walk.

Yeah, remember when I said she liked fairy princess things that reminded her of her childhood?

...

'Don't think about your father, Don't think about how he completely disowned you for the gender you love, forget about him. You didn't ruin anything, it wasn't your fault.'

'Was it...?'

I mean, it was bad enough that she had to deal with her aunts and uncles degrading her online and in person for getting married to two females, but her worrying about her other parent just made everything worse. She was tired, tired of being treated like shit for marrying the loves of her life.

She had sent an invite to everyone in the family, just to be nice and try to make amends with the people who had a rocky relationship with her.

"Hey Marcy, your phone buzzed. I think it's a message from someone." Sprig informed.

"Oh, my dad probably responded to me or something. Could you pass me my phone please?" Sprig stares at Marcy for a second and doesn't look to sure, but passes the phone to her anyways.

Marcy frowned, it was a message from her aunt on her fathers side of the family. But all Marcy saw was a link to a Facebook post. She was confused but still clicked on the link that was sent to her.

It was a rant, a rant from her aunt and uncle. With a video of them burning a pride flag along with her wedding invite. They were telling all of her family members to disown her as a relative. They were calling her all the slurs in the book. She was the family disappointment. Marcy was a disgrace. Marcy was mentally ill. She was defacing the institution of marriage.

She came out to her father, she disappointed him by being attracted to girls. She's the reason he left. She's the reason her family was destroyed.

She'd done the worst thing imaginable to her father and she is unforgivable.

Marcy closed her eyes, and all she could think about was how her father wasn't coming. Her dad had promised that he'd be there. When she was a little girl her father held her hand and told her one day he'd be in the front row cheering her on.

Yeah, she got her hopes up. She knew something like this would happen, but it still left a scar.

Marcy felt like she couldn't breathe. Her father didn't love her, and he wasn't coming. She's was alone, she was worthless, she was useless, she couldn't even breathe. She couldn't do anything right, it's sad. She couldn't even breathe right in that moment, and that's something every human does.

Just sad, and pathetic.

The room began to spin as Marcy tried and tried again but failed to take in oxygen.

Sprig panicked at the sight in front of him and quickly jumped up from his seat. "Marcy I need you to breathe with me." But Marcy didn't want to, she didn't even care anymore.

"Marcy you need to breathe with me." Sprig said, and he started a breathing exercise but Marcy didn't want to hear it. She didn't want reason and rationality. She wanted her fiancΓ©'s warm and gentle arms around her. She wanted to smell cherry, vanilla, and home. She wanted Sasha and Anne to rest their heads on top of hers and tell her that it was all going to be ok.

"Get them." Marcy choked out.Β

She hated herself. She was ruining their wedding day, there was no more surprise, she was making Anne and Sasha deal with a panic attack on their wedding day. Nobody should have to do that. She was supposed to be happy today, but instead, she couldn't breathe. The black spots spun around her eyes, and Marcy was shaking so hard. The tears leak out of her eyes and drip down her cheeks.

Marcy heard the door crack open and suddenly two pairs of big warm arms were holding her close. The smell of vanilla and cherry flooded her senses. Sasha and Anne. Her water when she's stuck in a desert, her Tylenol she takes when her head hurts, and the sunshine of her life. They were there, holding her into their tight embrace. Marcy choked on a sob and the two rubbed her back.

"Hey there princess." Sasha greeted softly. "Can you name five things you see for me?"

"I c-can't..." Marcy wheezed. She just wanted everything to stop.

Maybe that was it, that was how she dies.

Anne never really knew what to do during Marcy's panic attacks, usually she'd just panic and do any random thing that came to mind which just makes things worse. But Sasha on the other hand always knew a solution to every problem that went on, I mean, she was a therapist after all. So Anne just stayed quiet and watched as she gently rubbed Marcy's back in sadness.

Sasha stayed calm while Marcy broke. "Please Marce? For me...?" Sasha asked, staring deep into the panicked girls eyes.

Marcy's eyes immediately went wandering around the room they were in. Yeah, she was having a panic attack, but still, she'd do anything for them.

"Uh, shoes." Marcy started. And Sasha nodded in approval. "Closet, light, doorknob, um... phone."

"You're doing amazing." Sasha said, and Marcy could feel her heart beat slow and steady. "Could you keep going for me? Four things you can feel."

"You." Marcy started. "Tears, pants..." She trailed off, her breathing was getting harder and harder and she couldn't stop thinking about her father.

Sasha didn't mind it at all. She just gently squeezed the back of Marcy's neck in assured and nodded. It didn't matter if Marcy was doing a shitty job, she was trying for her and that's all that mattered.

"Uh, hair in my face." Marcy finished.

"You're doing so well honey." Sasha said. "Three things you can hear?"

Marcy could feel her heart rate start to slow, and it was becoming easier for her to focus on her surroundings.

"Two things you can smell?" Sasha asked.

"Cherry and vanilla." Marcy responded.

"Good. One thing you can taste?"

"Saliva?" Marcy said and Sasha nodded. Her breathing was close to normal and she didn't feel like she was dying anymore. Maybe it was just the haze after a panic attack, but Marcy couldn't stop thinking about how pretty her fiancΓ©s looked. She couldn't believe she was the one that gets to marry them. Out of anyone, she was chosen. But she couldn't help be kind of sad. They weren't supposed to see each other's outfits. But whatever, it was a nice view.

Anne was wearing a suit with her hair down, curls getting in the way of her face.

Sasha was wearing a big ruffled white dress with poofy sleeves and sparkles and diamonds all over it.

Sasha raised her hand and wiped the tears from her face. She then moved a piece of Marcy's long black hair from out of her face and behind her ear as she lifted herself up a bit and pressed a kiss to Marcy's forehead.

"Don't cry gorgeous. A beautiful little lady like you shouldn't be crying in her wedding dress." Sasha said, staring deeply into Marcy's eyes.

Even after ten years she still couldn't believe Anne and Sasha has stuck around. She couldn't believe she got to fall asleep and wake up next to the girls that were labeled lost beautiful girls in high school. Sometimes she felt like she loved those girls so much her heart might just burst. Three twenty three year old women, together getting married after becoming girlfriends when they were thirteen.

Marcy made a sound of happiness and leaned into her two finances embrace. She was pretty sure that a life of hugging those two for eternity would be perfectly fine with her.

"Hey Marbles...?" Anne started, hesitating a bit.

"Hm?" Marcy hummed back.

"Do you not want to get married?" Anne asked, and Marcy's brain short circuited for a few seconds because what the actual fuck.

Anne took her silence as a yes and kept rambling. "Marcy, you don't have to protect us from getting our feelings hurt or anything. It's okay if you don't want to get married. I just... why didn't you tell me? You had a panic attack and everything Marcy. Please talk to me." Anne said as she took both of Marcy's hands in hers. She looked so heartbroken...

Marcy laughed in her face, loud and hard.

"You are such a fucking idiot sometimes hot topic." Marcy said in between laughs.

Anne tilted her head and raised her eyebrow in confusion.

"Why the hell wouldn't I want to marry you two? I purposed." Marcy said.

"But you just had a panic attack on our wedding day." Anne said skeptically and Marcy's smile fell.

"Yeah, but it's not you." Marcy said, "I thought my father and other family members would come to our wedding but..." Marcy closed her eyes, and the two instantly rushed to her aid and began rubbing her back.

"They're not coming." Marcy finished.

Anger filled Sasha's entire body as she rolled up her fist so hard that they began to turn white. "Fuck them." She gritted her teeth.

Marcy let out a soft laugh, and the three of them fell into a comfortable silence for a few minutes. Just listening to each other's heartbeat.

Marcy didn't know what she did to deserve this. No one except Her father has ever put up with her panic attacks, let alone made an effort to calm her down. It was new to have someone else take the time out of their day to sit with her until she felt better. Marcy knew her father loved her dearly and she loved him the same way, but that didn't make him any less of an abusive parent.

Anne didn't really know how to handle panic attacks, but she still tried her best. It was hard to trust Anne to let down her iron-clad walls. The first time Marcy had an attack in front of her, Anne accidentally made it worse because Marcy was so worried about disappointing her. She's gotten a bit better at it, mostly just taking advice from Sasha on what to do.

It turned out that Sasha sometimes got panic attacks too and was also trying to hide them in an effort not to appear weak. Slowly but surely the two of them got better at asking for help and had a 100% success rate at calming the other down. Marcy calmed down the quickest with physical comfort while Sasha liked to talk through her problems. The three of them were so different, yet they just worked. Everything just sucked a little less when they were together.

Marcy had never been so glad to have met the two of them.

......

The wedding venue was big. The three of them made a lot of friends during their stay in amphibia Some of their classmates from when they were thirteen attended the wedding.

The hexide gang found their way back to the demon realm and brought back some of their friends. Eda attended, King Attended, Hooty attended, being carried in a small playhouse. Lilith attended, and even their old principal attended. Hey, so did Maggie! The walls of the venue were lined in white fairy lights. Someone had stuck the plastic glow in the dark stars that Marcy loved so much on the ceiling. At the end of the room stood the officiator.

When the music started Marcy expected to hear something calm and sweet, instead she got the War Of The Warlocks theme song. It took everything she had now to sprint up to the both of them and kiss them. She couldn't believe they remembered that she wanted to walk down the aisle to this song, she mentioned it as a joke when they were thirteen and they got back from hanging out with the hexide gang.

When they got to the front of the room, Sprig stood next to Amity and she was right in front of Anne and Sasha. This was it, they were getting married.

They both took a deep breath and started in their vows. Meanwhile Marcy tried her hardest to not start inhaling their faces on the spot.

Sasha opened up her mouth. "Marcy, I'm not gonna lie, when I first met you, I thought you and Anne were just some random kids that didn't know how to defend themselves. We were complete opposites. If someone had told me that one day I'd be marrying you, I would have told them to get their eyes checked. But then we became friends at the playground."

"We went to amphibia and realized all of our flaws and became better people. And then me and Anne asked you out after the tunnel of love became a complete disaster and was shocked to think you'd actually say yes. Asking you out was probably the best decision I've ever made in my entire fucking life Marcy. I love everything about you. I love the way you're awake at five in the morning just because you couldn't wait to write something down. I love the way you always need help. I love how you're always trying to be a better person. I love the passion you have for life."

"I love how on our second anniversary you wrote me a 5000 words short story. I love arguing about Fanfics with you. I love looking at your butt. I'm so so ready to become that gross couple everyone hates because they are so in love and it's cringe to them. I'm so ready to yell 'That's my wife!' every time you do something great, and I'm so ready to cuddle with you and kiss you in front of all our friends. I love you so much." Sasha was tearing up and Marcy wanted to laugh and cry, but most of all she really, really wanted to kiss her (almost) wife.

Instead of doing any of any of those things, Anne started her vows. "Nerdy nightmare, I liked you from the second I met you. You always say you're scared of everything, but you, Marceline, are the bravest person I've ever met. You walked into the first day of college wearing a pride pin. I had so much internalized homophobia, but you, Delightful, refused to not be yourself. You called yourself stupid, but you are without a doubt one of the smartest people I know, and I've met your mother."

"I think I started loving you from the moment from the moment the two of us started going to school together. You didn't get mad at me, or call me dumb, or leave. You stayed. You kept staying, and sometimes I still think you'll leave but you never do. And that's only one amazing thing about you, Nerd. You're always the most beautiful person whether you're wearing a dress or my old sweatpants. You protect the people you love with everything you have. You're smart and witty, and you never fail to make me laugh even if the joke isn't funny. You make me slow down and apricate all the boring things. I want to have so many firsts with you. I wanna go on our first honeymoon and adopt our first dog and cat and two kids together. I want to explore the world with you. I wanna critique every romance book with you. I want to do it all with you, Marcy. I love you so so much," Anne said, and damn, could they just kiss already?

Marcy's face turned a very dark shade of red at the compliments that were thrown at her. She put her head down and gripped her dress as she smiled shyly. She then opened her mouth to say something.

"I've loved you two for a long time. Ever since I met you I always felt like I had this connection with you guys that I've never had with anyone else. We were twelve once I realized I fell in love with you guys. I was an idiot, I had no knowledge about sexuality or the feeling of love. Shit, I didn't even know polyamory existed!"

"When I'm with you guys I instantly feel like I'm in a field of dandelions staring into the sunset that's a mix of purple orange and pink. You have always made sure I was okay in every little situation even when I was in the wrong. It was my fault you guys got out in a coma, it was my fault I got stabbed, it was my fault that Sasha got her back sliced. Everything was my fault, and yet you guys still made sure that I was okay when in reality I should be the one checking in on you guys."

"I love you two. I want to grow into old ladies together and pass away while cuddling in bed with a bunch of roses and my love letters surrounding us. I want to go on the beach date like Sasha said. I just want to be with you guys forever and ever. I love you guys with all my heart." Marcy said.

The two girls standing across from her stared into her eyes in adoration as the officiator opened his mouth to speak.

"Marceline Wu , do you take Anne Boonchuy and Sasha Waybright as your wives? Do you promise to love them, in sickness and in health?" The officiator asked.

"I do!" Marcy responded.

"Anne Boonchuy, do you take Marceline Wu and Sasha Waybright as your wives? Do you promise to love them, in sickness and in health?" The officiator asked.

"I do!" Anne responded, eager.

"All right, then in the power invested in me, I now pronounce you, wives," The officiator said. "You may now kiss the bride!"

Marcy didn't waste any time, she just grabbed Sasha's face and yanked her down and eagerly smashed her lips against hers. She'd been waiting for that moment for too long, twenty three years and her wish had finally come true. The scent of vanilla filled her senses as her heart began beating out of her chest. She could hear the people cheering behind them but she didn't care. Sasha wrapped her arms around Marcy's shoulders to steady her. Oh, Marcy would never get tired of kissing Sasha . She wanted to do it again, and again, and again. She never wanted to stop.

Marcy pulled back from the kiss, breathless, and immediately yanked Anne down and smashed their lips together also. Butterflies so frantically tried to escape from her stomach as Anne cupped her face and melted into the kiss. She never wanted that kiss to end, she could kiss Anne for eternity. She was kissing her amazing wife. Her brother and her best friend were standing right by her side, and Willow and her friends were cheering in the crowd watching them. Family wasn't always built by blood. Sometimes it was built from the ashes. Sometimes it was built by the broken ones from the ground up. And maybe the homophobes would be knocking at their door tomorrow. Maybe Marcy's aunt and uncle would publish another string of slurs. But that didn't matter, because Marcy had her family and wives, and nothing could drag the three of them down.

Anne grinned once she pulled away from the aggressive kiss. She turned her whole body around to face Sasha, grabbed hold of her hands, and pressed her lips against hers. The kiss was soft and tender, unlike nerdy nightmare who got too excited. They both squeezed each other's hands harder and smiled into the kiss. Once they pulled back, they turned their heads to look at the audience who erupted into cheers and screams.

Marcy let out a chuckle and she felt her face start to heat up as she pulled both of her wives into a bone crushing hug.

The grin stayed on her face as she pulled away from the hug. She turned her head to the crowd once more, but her face fell a bit once her eye landed on a specific person.

Her father.

In the front row.

Cheering her on.

Just like she dreamed of.

Her heart shattered in to a million pieces at the sight, but she kept her composure and wore the smile on her face once again.

Anne jumped up and down while clapping. "Ooh ooh! Can we go eat the cake now!?"

Marcy let out a chuckle at her wife's excited gesture. "Yes Anne, you can go eat the cake now."

"See? I told you you'd get another opportunity like this." Sasha teased, as she followed the excited girl.

Right as soon as the two girls walked away, a frown appeared on the black haired girls face. Her father immediately got up from his seat and exited the church, probably knowing that Marcy was going to want to speak to him outside.

...

"Uh.. so, I know I fucked up." Mr. Wu confessed.

"I'm gonna cut to the chase. I'm sorry Marceline. I was HORRIBLE father. I constantly degraded you and didn't take anything you opened up to me about seriously. I wish I did. I fucked up our family and your aunt and uncle are talking shit about you to the family. I love you Marcy, I really do. And I'm sorry, for everything. I made you feel like a bad daughter to me just because of the gender you love. And I should have, because...."

A man walked over to her father and took hold of one of his hands and caressed it. Marcy's eyes widened in shock and she let out a little gasp.

"Yeah, surprising I know. It's surprising to see my in a relationship with a man. I should let have treated you like that and I'm so sorry, I regret everything I did. But I know I can't undo it because it already left a scar but I just wanted to let this out. I felt bad after I disowned you, I really did. But right as soon as I realized what an amazing daughter I lost... it was too late. I couldn't miss out on this, I just couldn't. It was always my dream to see you get married to someone you love. It was always my dream to be in the front row cheering you on. I'm glad I got to see you with those two girls."

"You should stay with them forever."

Her father was about to open his mouth again when he felt small arms wrap around him. Marcy shut her eyes tight as she hugged him.

"I forgive you, papa."

Tears of joy filled the man's eyes as he gladly returned his daughters hug. Meanwhile his boyfriend grinned as he watched the scene in front of him.

......

Marcy walked back into the church after the conversation with her father. She was in a good mood, she was bonded to the lives of her life and she made up with her father!? Two W's in a day.

Marcy approached Anne and Sasha, who were dancing to the music that was playing while downing all the snacks.

"Oh hey mar-mar! Where'd you go? These snacks are so good!" Anne said, words muffled a bit due to the junk food in her mouth.

Sasha choked on a marshmallow trying to talk too which just made Marcy snort at the twos stupidity. They were both twenty three and they were still acting like how they did when they went to prom at thirteen years old.

Marcy chuckled. She then raised her arm up and poked at both of their chests. "You guys are so silly!"

She tilted her head and shot them the sweetest grin in the world. "I love you."

There will always be issues in a relationship.

There's always gonna be ups and downs.

But you and me...

Will always be...

Forever Letters.

Welp.

To be continued.
