09:50, 3 July 2022Time skip to after school
This all takes place after school, so it's still light outside for them:)
Marcy had to skip school due to a doctors appointment her mother had to take her to. Sasha also decided to stay home and sleep in Marcy's bed. I don't know what it was about Marcy's bed but Sasha always slept in it if Marcy wasn't there.
Marcy found it kinda cute.
School had already been over for the people that showed up. She was pretty sure that Anne was at school by herself and came up with a random excuse for her mother to pick her up once she saw that Sasha and Marcy weren't there. Anne always followed after them, even though they considered her the leader of the group. She always wanted to hang out with them any chance she got. And you know, the calamity trio always did their stupidity whenever they hung out, such as ding dong ditching peoples door, or if they'd go to the water park they'd get someone to moan random lifeguards names just to be assholes.
Typical teenagers.
And no Anne doesn't know that Marcy and Sasha now live together.
Sasha isn't ready to tell Anne what had happened.
It's not that Sasha didn't trust Anne or anything, it's just that she didn't like the type of reactions Anne had. She felt like they're relationship would change. Like she'd be overly affectionate and too comforting. She didn't want Anne to know until she was ready. There were a lot of things she hadn't told her friends yet. She never told them about how her parents acted towards her. Or the mark on her neck. She wasΒ afraid that she'd freak them out if she told them the reason she had it. She was afraid that they'd see her differently and see her as a freak. They'd leave her, they'd all leave her by herself. She was afraid that they'd do something her parents had done.
They'd leave her hanging.
Anyways:D
Marissa has called Marcy that day after school. She told her how all anyone at school wanted to talk about was how she'd broken Heather Acosta's nose.
"I broke it?"
"Yeah, she's got it all bandaged up. She's telling everyone about how you should have gotten expelled instead of suspended."
Now all Marcy felt like doing was laughing. Not because she'd broken Heather's nose, but because she could just see her running around with her torch top earrings and a taped up nose.
"She told me to tell you that she hopes you've learned your lesson. Can you believe that?"
"She hoped I learned a lesson?"
"Yeah, and this girl Tenille went around all day trying to get people to donate to the Help Heal Heather Fund. Cringe right?"
"The what? Who the heck is Tenille?"
"Some copycat friend of Heather's. I saw her in the bathroom before school, clamping on a bunch of earrings. Someone told me she'd do anything for Heather cause she thinks she's the coolest. And oh she's wrong, Heather sucks absolute ass."
"And what's the fund for? They gonna buy her crutches for her nose or something?"
Well, that got Marissa laughing, and hearing her laugh made Marcy laugh, and pretty soon they were just busting up, talking about two little crutches hanging out of Heather Acosta's nose.
Then they were both catching their breath. Marissa then said. "She asked me for money."
"Heather asked you for money?"
"No, Tenille. She told me that it was partly my fault that Heather's nose was broken, so I should contribute to the fund."
Marcy almost didn't ask because she was afraid of what she might hear, but she couldn't resist. "Well, did you?"
"Hell no! I told her to drop dead. I told her you were one of my very good friends and anyone who pricked you in the butt with a pin deserved to have her nose broken."
Marcy tossed that around some and and decided that what Marissa probably said was "Sorry, I don't have any money today." So Marcy said, "Thanks, Marissa, but what did you really say?"
"What do you mean? That is what I said! Exactly!"
Well, Marcy couldn't help smiling. Marissa McKenze finally told someone to bug off and she did it sticking up for Marcy.
Then Marissa asked, "so what did you do today? Did you have fun on your day off?"
Sasha was sleeping in Marcy's bed next to her, so she had to keep quiet so that she wouldn't wake up. Marcy told Marissa about not going to school due to a doctors appointment with her mother. And that she goes to the mall in a few days to get some things.
......
Yes time skip cus I'm a lazy asf
Marcy got off of the phone with Marissa and set her phone down next to sleeping Sasha.
After a while she started thinking about having to go to school the next day, and what she was going to do about Heather Acosta. And the more she thought about Heather and her stupid Help Heal Heather Fund, the more she wanted to get back to school and straighten things out.
The bad thing is, she didn't know how.
......
The moment she got to school she could that tell Heather had been doing a lot of talking. While Marcy was out of school going places with her mother , Heather had been busy burning up the phone lines, telling everyone what a monster Marcy was. Kids would see her and stop to whisper to their friends, or point and cover their mouths.
Sasha wasn't feeling well, so she had to stay home. Her mother was there to take care of Sasha anyways. And Anne had to stay home to help her parents with the restaurant, she also had an appointment for Domino the cat she had to go to later on. She both of them were absent.
And since Marissa hadn't shown up to school yet, she was walking around all by herself feeling really dumb. Then this brown-haired girl with studs and loops loading down her ears walked up to Marcy with a couple of friends and said, "Heather happens to be my best friend, and if you ever touch her again..." She looks around a minute, thinking.
Yea bitch, think. What you gonna do?
"What, you'll pin me down and machine gun my earlobes?"
Just then, Heather showed up.
She looks at Marcy and a big frown forms in her face and she grabs all of her friends and says, "let's go guys, she'll break all of your noses too."
Marcy just rolled her eyes as they walked away.
...
When lunchtime finally rolled around Marcy still hadn't figured out what she was going to do about Heather.
That is, when she heard Heather in the lunch line, standing a little too close to her friend Danny Urbanski, telling him, "...and Dr. Gant says I can't take it off until Friday. It is so embarrassing! He says I really should be home taking it easy, but I just can't afford to miss that much school. That brat Marcy only got suspended for one day and I have to wear this all week. It's so unfair, don't you think?"
Marissa hears it too. She turns her head to face Marcy and whispers, "Marcy, don't you want to...."
"Pop her in the nose?" She asked, and then they both laugh. Marissa won't admit it, but she's had a crush on Danny Urbanski for ages. A major crush. Heather has a crush on Sasha, Heather has no interest in men whatsoever, she just tries to get close to Danny to piss Marissa off because she knows Marissa likes him. And watching Heather move in on him was steaming Marissa's potatoes.
"Your right, she could be faking it. If only we could prove it though..." Marissa rubbed her chin.
Marcy then goes digging in her pockets and Marissa asked, "What'cha lookin for?"
"Some change." Marcy then pulled out a few coins and gave her a little smile. "I've got an idea...."
"What is it?"
"I don't know if it'll work but it's worth a shot. Stay here. I'll be right back!"
Marcy found a pay phone right outside the office, and she got lucky, the girl using it was just hanging up. She hunted through the phone book until she found him in the yellow pages, Bertram Gant, MD.
By then her heart was beating like crazy so she took a deep breath, popped in the coins, and put the phone to her ear.
"Hi, this is Heather Acosta?" When someone answered the phone.
"Yes, that's me. I came in a couple of days ago with a nosebleed?" Marcy lied.
The receptionist said, "Oh, Heather. Yes, I remember."
"May I speak with Dr. Grant? Or maybe even a nurse?" Marcy asked.
"The doctor is in with a patient right now, let me pull your chart and see if one of the nurses can help you." The person on the other line said.
She said, "Okay," and let me tell you, her heart was beating in her ears and she was having a lot of trouble breathing.
Finally, a lady got on the phone. "Hello Heather, this is Mary. How may I help you?" She asked.
"Well, I was wondering if you could call the school for me..." Marcy said.
"Call the school? Why?"
"Me. Caan, our vice principal, he's making me wear a bandage in my nose." Marcy lied.
There was a king moment of silence on the other rend of the phone and for a minute she thought she was wrong.
Finally, the lady opened her mouth to say something "A bandage? For a simple nosebleed? Why on earth...?"
Well that's all she needed. She started fake sniffling like she was trying not to cry. "It's so embarrassing! He says I have to wear a bandage just in case it was broken or fractured or something. He says that if anything happens to it in P.E. he doesn't want the school to be liable or something. I don't understand it....All I know is that all the kids are making fun of me and I just want to die from embarrassment!" Marcy complained.
Now Mary wanted to get this straight. She took a deep breath and said, "So you're telling me, your principal, what's his name?"
"He's the vice principal, Mr. Caan."
"Mr. Caan insists that you wear a bandage on your nose because he doesn't want to be responsible if you get injured again?" Mary asked.
"That's right. He forced me to put gauze and tape over the whole thing and he says that I can't take it off until Friday!" She complained.
"What?"
"Can you please just call the school and talk to him? Tell him it's not broken and that I'm fine, that it was just a little nosebleed and I don't need to wear these stupid bandages?" Marcy asked.
"I most certainly will!" Mary assured.
She looked up the school's number real quick and gave it to the lady on the other end of the call. Then she hung up the phone and raced back to the lunch line to find Marissa.
Marcy grinned at her and Marissa turned her head to Marcy and whispered, "Where did you go?"
Heather was only a few people away from them so Marcy couldn't say much without her hearing about it. She then opened her mouth. "I'll tell you when we sit down."
So they make it through the line and their just about to sit down at a table when the loudspeaker blares, "Mr. Caan, please come to the office for a telephone call. Mr. Caan, to the office, please." Marcy nudged Marissa and grinned up at the loudspeaker and Marissa looked up at Marcy in confusion and surprise and asked, "What did you do?!"
So she told her. And pretty soon she had a hand in front of her mouth and they both started giggling and peeking over at Heather a few tables away.
A little while later, Mr. Caan walked steaming into the cafeteria. Marcy then kicked Marissa under the table and said "It's show time."
Now Mr. Caan was probably supposed to take Heather to his office and straighten things out with her there, but he didn't. He found her and stood towering over her, yelling. "What do you think you're trying to pull? Take that ridiculous tape off your face right now!"
Heather sputtered. "But Mr. Caan! The doctor says-"
Mr. Caan was looking like he was ready to kill her. "Yes, I know what the doctor says! I just had a very enlightening conversation with Dr. Gant. I've spent the last ten minutes listening to him read me the riot act about how I've been forcing you to wear a bandage on your nose. I ask you again, Miss Acosta, what are you trying to pull here? Why are you wearing that ridiculous bandage when all you had was a simple nosebleed?" He screamed.
By then the entire cafeteria was quiet. And I mean quiet. Nobody was even breathing.
Heather then turned as red as her hair. "B-B-But..."
"Take it off. Right now. All of it."
Pretty soon all the kids were whispering and moving in, trying to get a closer look at Heather peeling athletic tape off her face. And once all the tape was off her snotty little nose, Mr. Caan said very quietly, "Come with me."
Marcy didn't want to miss a minute of it so she got up from her seat and quickly turned to Marissa and said, "Come on!" And they started following them outside.
But Heather had forgotten her purse. And when she goes back racing to her chair to get it, who did she see?
Marcy.
All she does is give her a little smile. But it's enough to make her figure out that Marcy had something to do with the trouble she was in. She then came after Marcy saying, "You littleβ" and pretty soon she was all over her, trying to scratch her eyes out.
Mr. Caan came racing back, and while he was trying to pull Heather off of her, Heather tried to punch her in the face.
It was probably the first punch she'd ever thrown, it just didn't have much experience behind it, if you know what I mean. Instead of coming straight at Marcy, it came around from the side. And since she could see it coming a mile away, what did she do?
She ducked.
And who did she hit?
Mr. Caan.
Now Marcy didn't think it hurt him too much, but she did think it was like poking an angry bear with a fishing pole. Mr. Caan practically dragged Heather out of the cafeteria and pretty soon everyone was coming up to her, telling her "Way to go," and stuff like that.
Oh well, she was a bitch anyways.
The Danny Urbanski, Marissa's crush, says, "Hey! What happened to all that money they were collecting for Heather?" and that started everyone else saying, "Hey, that's right! Where's my money! I want my money back!"
And then there was Tenille, standing in the middle of the pack with her eyes darting around, looking for a way to escape the cafeteria before she gets mugged. But it was too late. Somebody saw her and called, "Hey, Tenille! Get back here! We want our money! Where is it?"
Tenille's smile is as sweet as vinegar. "Heather has it, really!" Then she started blubbering. "Oh come on, you guys...she made me do it! I didn't know! How was I supposed to know?"
Marcy called over to her, "Oh yeah, right! I bet you want everybody to believe you didn't know she pricked me in the rear end with that stupid pin, either!"
Before Tenille could stop herself she said, "Oh, she told me thatβshe just never told me her nose wasn't broken! Honest!"
Marcy gave her a little smile and all of a sudden Tenille had realized what she's done.
She said, "No, wait, I...That's not how it happened," but everyone was already shaking their heads and leaving.
Then Danny Urbanski, Marissa's crush, walked over to Marcy and said, "I'm glad you punched her, she deserved it."
Marissa grabbed Marcy's arm. "Did you hear that? Can you believe it? Danny said he was glad you punched her." She then pumped her hand in the air. "Yes!"
...
At the end of the day, Marcy went over to her locker to get her things. It sucked for her that Sasha or Anne couldn't attend school. Sasha was sick and Anne was busy. She grabbed her stuff from her locker and headed to the exit and of the school.
They probably would have loved todays love letter even though they don't know it's Marcy.
...
Once Marcy arrived at her home. She waved to her mother, who was sitting in the couch watching TV. Her mother happily waved back and Marcy grinned. She then went upstairs and went to her bedroom. She turned the knob and opened the door, she was met with Sasha Waybright sleeping in her bed with her head on a pillow and a fluffy pink blanket covering her. And her messy hair was all over her face. Marcy stared at the sight in front of her in awe.
God she looked so cute.
Marcy walked over to her bed, slowly, careful not to wake Sasha up. She then leaned down and placed a soft kiss onto Sasha's cheek. Marcy felt her heart rate start to speed up as a heat formed on her face. She then walked out of her room, turning back one last time with a smile on her face before shutting the door behind her.
