The next day :D
Anne panted hard and collapsed to the floor, so did Sasha. "Sash, I'm getting so tired of screaming. I don't want to live like this anymore."
"I agree, we've been screaming and walking around in this dark pit of void for weeks I'm beginning to get sick of it." Sasha responded.
"I don't know, maybe he lied. When will we wake up? Will we wake up tomorrow? Will we wake up today? We have to get to Marcy...." Anne frowned.
Anne got up from the floor and stood on her shaky legs. "I guess we just continue fighting."
...
..
.
It was early in the morning and Marcy was at school standing in front of Sasha and Anne's lockers waiting for the bell to ring so that she could head to class. She opened up her bag and took out two baby pink letters. She then slipped the letters into each of their lockers. She quickly zipped up her bag as she heard the bell ring, but once she turned around to head to class, she was met with a big group of blonde jocks and cheerleaders. The group that made fun of her before.
There was one girl that had walked in front of all of them, she was probably the leader of the group. She was the one that stood out the most, she had red hair, the rest of her friend group was blonde. And she had fair skin with freckles all over her face with green eyes.
Her name was Heather, a classic pretty girl name.
Everyone wishes they were Heather.
Marcy can't even lie, the girl is gorgeous in looks. But her attitude is something else.
"Hey nerd! You aren't allowed to defend yourself when we pick on you! Last time we saw each other you rolled your eyes at us and just walked away, that was beyond disrespectful. Hmm, maybe we need to teach you a lesson." Heather smirked.
"You aren't deserving of love, nobody loves you. You're different, read the room in this school and maybe you'll fit in. You see me? I have so many friends! I stand out, I'm beautiful, people love me, maybe if you become more like me people will love you and you'll have more friends." She chuckled.
"I don't have to be like you to be loved, I already have two people that love me just the way I am. And don't even get me started on your bitchy attitude, nobody would ever love someone with an attitude like that. Your friends probably don't even really like you, they probably have an extra group chat where they talk about you. Don't even act like It's a coincidence that you stand out the most in your friend group, all you did was look for a bunch of 'hot' jocks and cheerleaders that have the same bitchy attitude as you and claimed yourself as the leader of the group. You picked a bunch of blondes on purpose so that you can stand out the most, we aren't idiots." Marcy raised an eyebrow.
"You aren't cool Heather. You might think that everyone likes you but that just isn't true, they think you're a complete bitch and so do I. Look around you Heather, nobody in this school likes you. Can't you see the looks on your friends faces? It isn't hard to tell that they agree with what I'm saying." Marcy stated, and Heather's fuming face turned redder at every word that came out of Marcy's mouth.
Heather groaned in anger and pushed Marcy against the locker. Marcy yelped in pain and Heather walked up close to her, enough to invade her personal space.
"There's nothing you can do about me Marcy. People can't resist when they hear and see what they like. If you don't like us picking on you, that's fine. But soon enough you won't have any friends at all and trust me I'll make sure you never get close to Sasha in class or anywhere. You quickly saw through my nice act, you seem a little less dumb than all the others. From now on you and I are at war. You will lose your friends and wind up all alone and Sasha Waybright will soon be mine." She whispered.
Heather backed up from Marcy and flipped her hair. "Hmph! Let's go guys, we don't want to get yelled at all because of this loser." She rolled her eyes.
Marcy got up from leaning against the locker and scoffed. 'Tsk, idiot. That barbie bitch knows she'd be a pussy if her wolfย pack wasn't there.'
That redheaded bitch is lucky she didn't put her hands on Marcy a second time. You can hit her once but once you hit her a second time you're done for. That's when Marcy gets angry.
And things don't look too cute once Marcy gets angry.
'Sasha would never like a stuck up brat like her, Sasha's too good for her anyways.'
And yes, Heather likes Sasha Waybright.
Marcy's face quickly turned into a frown as she walked into her class, immediately met with a scolding for being late.
...
..
.
Marcy was in the kitchen sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner with both of her parents. Every once and a while her dad would shoot her disapproving glances, it was beginning to make Marcy nervous.ย
Marcy's mother had a confused expression as to why there was so much tension in the air. Her father sat his fork on his plate and took his glasses off as he raised an eyebrow. "So, how has everything been going lately?"
"Good I guess, I've been having a lot of fun lately and my grades are going back up." Marcy responded.
"That's good. I'm glad your grades are going up." He said.
He was still giving Marcy that look, like she did something wrong and he knew about it. Her mother was just confused, looking back and forth at both of them over and over.
"Okay dad what did I do wrong. " Marcy asked.
"What do you mean? I'm just sitting here eating food with my family like a normal person! Why would you think you did anything wrong?" He asked.
"You're acting weird. You keep staring at me like you know something. We haven't had a family dinner in a long time so staring at me like that is starting to make this dinner awkward and uncomfortable." Marcy said.
"It's just that you aren't acting like you used to. Are you hiding something from me? You're perfect, you aren't supposed to have secrets because that causes mistakes and perfect people make no mistakes. What's going on? Is anything happening at school? Are those two friends of yours hitting on you? What's on your mind?" He interrogated.
"Now now darling, you don't want to pressure our sweet daughter Marceline into telling us anything she doesn't want to tell us." Mrs. Wu said.
"No, Marcy. I know you and your mother have been hiding many things from me. And I don't trust those friends of yours, they're a bad influence on you. I've been noticing some things that don't really seem straight to me." He frowned.
"Dad I'm straight I promise you." Marcy lied.
"Oh yeah? Why are you always looking at female characters talking about how pretty they are? Why is there so many lesbian comics laying around your room? Why are you always blushing at blonde female models? Why are you always blushing at female models with tan skin and curly hair? Why are there pictures of your two friends all around your room with so many hearts around them?" Mr. Wu interrogated.
Marcy had nothing to say at this point, she was frozen at the kitchen table just staring at her father, confused on what to do.
"Marcy tell me, I need to know about this stuff." He said.
...
"Dad, I am apart of the lgbtq community."

"You are no longer my daughter."
Marcy could feel her heart shatter into a million pieces just at those few words.
Mrs. Wu jumped up from her seat and began throwing cups and other dishes at him. "What's wrong with you!? This is our daughter! Our life! How dare you disrespect our daughter like this! She's just following her dreams! She can be whatever sexual orientation she likes, that doesn't change the fact that shes still the same person and shes still our daughter!" She screamed.
She then walked up to him and began dragging him by his hair. She kept slapping him and and shouting at him while she dragged him.
The shouting then faded away from Marcy's ears when her mother dragged him out of the house. And there Marcy was, frozen, at the kitchen table, confused on what to do.
"Were getting a divorce!" Marcy heard from the distance.
Mrs. Wu stomped back into the house and screamed "And stay out!" before slamming the door behind her.ย
She looked over at the kitchen table to see Marcy with pale skin and tears in her eyes. Her expression quickly turned from anger to sadness for her daughter.
"Oh Marcy...." She said as she walked up to her.
She pulled Marcy into a bone crushing hug and petted her hair as Marcy cried into her chest.
Oh god this was probably the worst feeling Marcy has ever felt.
She hated the feeling of her heart being shattered so easily.
'Shatter me.' She thought.
