Chapter Ten- New Book Alert

[ Third Person Pov ]

Seungmin was having an uncharacteristically good day. The sun was shining just the right amount-not too bright, not too dim- and for once, his coffee order hadn't been messed up. Even the fans outside the studio had been unusually polite, no one shoving phones in his face or screaming directly into his eardrums.

He leaned back in his chair in the practice room, savoring the rare moment of peace, when Felix and Jisung bounded in like puppies on too much sugar.

"Minnie!" Felix called, grinning ear to ear. "Hey Minnie, guess what!"

Seungmin raised an eyebrow. "Why are you two so loud this early? It's not even noon."

"Why won't we be loud? Our favourite author started a new book," the black haired beamed. "Guess what she wrote about this time," Jisung said, plopping down beside him with all the grace of a collapsing tower of Jenga.

Seungmin froze mid-sip of his coffee. He didn't need to ask who she was-there was only one person whose stories they obsessively followed like it was their favorite K-drama.

"I don't care," Seungmin muttered, pretending to be uninterested.

Felix ignored him, sliding his phone out with the eagerness of someone about to drop a life-changing spoiler. "She posted a new story last night. You're gonna love this."

"Or hate it," Jisung added helpfully.

"I'm already hating it," Seungmin huffed. He had a hint that it might be that ridiculous idea she had come up with, but he leaned forward ever so slightly.

Felix cleared his throat dramatically and reading the title aloud: "Behind the frames."

Seungmin's eye twitched. "What?"

"No, no. This one is good. You're a cute nerd," Jisung explained, barely holding back his laughs.

Felix giggled. "She literally described you in a really cute way. Trust me, I coo everytime you talk."

"How is that better?" Seungmin said immediately. "I don't want to be cute either."

"I didn't say it was," Felix said innocently. "But, uh, she did mention something about his hair being 'perfectly tousled like he stepped out of a shampoo ad.' Sound familiar?"

"Lots of people have good hair!" Seungmin snapped. His eyes flickered to the left for a brief second, as if deliberating another retort. "Well except Chan- but that's not the point."

The author breathed a sigh of relieve, because it has been so long we've talked about Papa Chan's beautiful hair. I miss updating Chaos. Le sigh.

Jisung smirked. "She also said the girl calls him an 'angry Pokémon' whenever he gets annoyed," the blond cooed. "Cutie," He reached a finger out, poking the younger's cheek.

The room went silent as Felix and Jisung both turned to look at him, trying and failing to contain their laughter.

Seungmin's jaw clenched. "I'm suing her for defamation," he slapped Felix's hand away from his face.

"Come on, it's funny!" Felix rolled over, lying on his back, practically wheezing now. "She even wrote a scene where he tries to threaten her, and she laughs at him. Sound familiar?"

"Out," Seungmin grumbled, pointing to the door.

"But Minnie-"

"Out before I throw my perfectly tousled shampoo-commercial hair at you!"

Felix and Jisung were laughing so hard they could barely stand as they stumbled out of the room.

Seungmin slumped back in his chair, pulling out his phone to check her latest post. He wasn't curious, of course. He just needed to see how badly she was ruining his reputation this time.

And maybe text her a strongly worded complaint.
