Chapter Three- Idol Turns Stalker

[ Third Person Pov ]

The next day, Seungmin stumbled into dance practice like a man on a mission, but his mind was anywhere but the studio. His bandmates, Jisung and Hyunjin, exchanged glances as they watched him take his place at the front of the room, the tension radiating off him like a heatwave.

Jisung, ever the playful troublemaker, raised an eyebrow and nudged Hyunjin. "What's up with Seungmin today? He's acting like someone stole his lunch, but worse. Like someone hacked into his playlist and replaced all the songs with elevator music."

Hyunjin smirked, eyeing Seungmin as he tugged at his shirt collar, clearly uncomfortable in his own skin. "Maybe he's mad because we didn't invite him to the after-party. Or maybe he's finally realized that his fashion sense is... less 'idol chic,' more 'grumpy old man chic.'"

Seungmin didn't respond. His arms crossed over his chest as he stared at the mirror, not even pretending to follow the choreography. The others were in sync, but Seungmin was in a world of his own- somewhere between anger and disbelief. Last night, he had spent hours reading that fanfiction. That disastrous fanfiction. And now, here he was, still haunted by the fact that his apparent main hoe had painted him as a cold, emotionally bankrupt boyfriend who would forget anniversaries, ghost his girlfriend, and generally act like he was allergic to affection.

He clenched his jaw, glaring at his reflection in the mirror, as if it might suddenly change into something less... evil.

Jisung, noticing Seungmin's lack of participation, let out a loud, exaggerated sigh. "Seungmin, you okay? You look like you're about to start a dramatic solo performance about heartbreak and betrayal."

Seungmin didn't flinch. He just stared at the floor, trying to suppress the urge to respond with a sarcastic remark. Instead, he let his thoughts brew in silence. How dare she make him the villain of her little fictional world? He wasn't some emotionally unavailable jerk who forgot anniversaries. He was... well, okay, maybe he could be a little emotionally distant sometimes, but who wasn't? That didn't mean he was a monster!

Hyunjin, always the more perceptive of the two, caught on to the growing tension. He half-laughed, half-asked, "Seungmin, man, you're barely moving. Did someone steal your will to live?"

Seungmin glared at him, finally breaking his silence. "I spent the whole night reading this stupid fanfiction. The one where I'm apparently the worst boyfriend ever." He threw his arms up dramatically. "I mean, really? She said I'd forget anniversaries like it's a hobby. As if I don't have a million other things to think about!" His voice rose slightly, drawing the attention of the rest of the group.

Jisung leaned in with an exaggerated whisper, "Bro, you are the worst boyfriend. Like, I've seen you forget your own birthday, and you're bad at texting back. I mean, you practically invented the art of 'I'll respond in three days.'"

Seungmin shot him a glare. "Shut up. You don't get it."

Hyunjin, in his usual sarcastic style, threw in his two cents. "Wait, so you're mad because someone's writing stories about you? Dude, welcome to idol life. If they're not making up wild stories about you, you're doing something wrong."

Seungmin turned away from them, his frustration mounting. "I don't care about the stories. It's the fact that she made me sound like a heartless, insensitive loser. That's not me!"

But he wasn't fooling anyone. Jisung raised his hands in mock surrender, chuckling. "Sure, sure, you're not a loser, buddy. But you know what? If she's writing about you like that, maybe you should confront her. I mean, it's not like you're doing anything else right now."

Seungmin groaned.

The other two raised eyebrows as Seungmin pulled his phone from his pocket and began tapping away, looking like a man on a mission. "What are you doing?" Jisung asked, clearly intrigued.

Seungmin paused for dramatic effect, before typing, "I'm visiting her Instagram. Let's see how she handles me sliding into her DMs."

Hyunjin burst out laughing. "Wait, so you're stalking her Instagram now? Dude, this is what you do with your free time?"

Seungmin grinned, a flicker of mischief creeping into his eyes. "I'm not stalking. I'm just... researching." He tapped on her profile, and the page loaded. The first thing that caught his attention was a post where she was holding a coffee cup with the caption: "You know what's better than writing fanfiction? Writing good fanfiction."

Seungmin rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "I'm going to ruin her day," he muttered under his breath.

Jisung and Hyunjin exchanged amused glances, and Hyunjin said, "Oh, this is going to be good. Let me know how your hoe responds to you-Mr. Emotionally Constipated Idol."
