Chapter Thirteen: Celebrate!
22:06, 21 January 2024Tessa and I took the Uber to the Yankees Stadium, the place where the Jonas Brothers were scheduled to be performing their new tour. It's opening night and Tessa got us floor seats.
"Oh my gosh, it's today!" Tessa squealed. "It's the day of the Jonas Brothers concert!"
I nodded, acting uninterested to hide the fact that I am going to be Joe Jonas's fake girlfriend in just about a month, once he gets the courage to officially announce that he is divorcing his wife.
Tessa walks me down to the floor seat of the concert and low and behold, the lights start to go dark.
"Oh my gosh, the concert is starting!" Tessa shouted into my ears. "I am so excited!"
Of course she was excited. She has adored these guys since their first album came out. She was eight at the time they released their very first album back in 2006. She has loved them ever since. She's loved them longer than she's known me!
"We're going to have a blast!" I acted excited.
I was never a concert girl, and I was more of a girl that liked to stay in or travel and look at the monuments, not the celebrity type of stuff. I am only doing this concert thing so that Tessa can forgive me for what I did with the whole coffee thing. The coffee wasn't spilt on her, yet she's the one that's the angriest at me about it.
As the brothers started to enter through the stage, I could hear girls absolutely screaming. I plugged my ears and Joe came out right in front of me. I could see him in his green outfit that he decided to wear tonight. Tessa was going absolutely crazy, trying to wave at him. He waved back at her, not noticing me in the crowd at first. I was right there. How could he not notice me?
~
"Through the fire we made it," Nick started singing. "Look at us now! Tonight, we party like Vegas..."
As Nick continued to sing, I just danced there peacefully while Tessa kept shouting for Joe to come back to her side of the stage. I started laughing at her and then Joe came back to my side of the stage.
"We made it through!" Joe started singing his verse. "All the years and all the tears we..."
Joe turned his eyes toward me and he froze. He noticed that I was here. Then, he smiled and finished his part of the verse, sending me a wink. I looked over at Sophie, who I could tell she isn't exactly thrilled about this. She glared over at me and then went back to cheering on her husband, as a good wife would do.
"Oh my gosh Jess!" Tessa shouted. "He winked at you!"
I looked toward Tessa and she had another one of those bright smiles on her face I haven't seen in about a month.
"Celebrate tonight!" Nick sang into his microphone.
~
As the last song starts playing, Tessa screams when she realizes what the song was. I knew this one was one of her favorites and she would be so sad to leave.
"I see you calling..." Nick sang into his microphone.
Tessa was screaming and putting on her Jonas Brothers New York limited edition shirt she bought at the stand earlier before entering the stadium. I could tell she loved this moment and honestly, I now see why they are so adored. They sound so much better live than they do on their records.
As the final song ends, Joe Jonas makes way for my side of the stage and leans over to me, gesturing for me to come over to him. I walked over and he whispered into my ear.
"Come back stage with me after the concert," He whispered into my ears.
I nodded. I looked toward Tessa, who was screaming her head off in excitement.
"You get to go backstage with Joe Jonas!" Tessa exclaimed. "Have fun. I'll meet you outside."
I nodded to Tessa and then I looked back at Joe.

A/N: Thank you guys so much for 600 and 700 reads these last couple of days! I am sorry I was unable to thank you guys for 600 yesterday, I just moved back into my college dorm, and I am so anxious to be here because there is a statewide strike right now. This means potentially, I am not going to have class for another week.
I appreciate the support I have been getting from all of you and I hope you continue to support me through this journey. We are not even close to done with the chapters, almost halfway, but not even close to done.
To those of you that tune in to read, I love you guys and I hope all of you are having a great day.
Comments are very much appreciated, as this is the very first time I have written a fanfiction or something similar to a fanfiction. I plan on writing more in the future, so criticisms are deeply appreciated!
Have a great day everyone!
