Chapter Four: Waffle House
22:01, 12 January 2024The hotel had bronze colored walls, with gray colored couches and chandeliers about twenty feet above the average human. Tessa walked to the front desk and I decided to look around, explore more.
As I walked around the hotel, I noticed some paintings on the wall. Like, the Mona Lisa and the Starry Night. I admired the hotel. It was a place full of beautiful paintings of landscapes and replicas of famous paintings.
"Hey, bestie!" Tessa said, as she jumped around me, practically forcing me to give her a piggyback ride.
I grabbed her legs and she was all smiley, laughing probably about how happy she is to be here.
"It's beautiful," I said, as I walked piggy back Tessa to the elevator. "Do you want to get off yet? My arms are tired!"
She quickly shook her head. After shaking her head, she started to giggle. She knew I wouldn't let her go, if she said no.
"I am just so excited for who we're going to see on this trip!" Tessa said. "All the greats live in New York, you know."
~
After getting ourselves situated into the hotel, we decided we were going to head out to the waffle house right next to the hotel. I don't even know what a waffle house is, but Tessa said it was a good idea.
We started to eat some pancakes as a recovery for this morning's flight, even though it's 4 PM. I don't mind a good afternoon waffle.
"I heard that there is going to be a party in Madison Square!" Tessa said.
I went back to eating my waffle, dousing it in syrup until each and every square was filled to the brim. Then, I cut each square one by one until I had several cups of syrup right in front of me. I took a fork and poked into each syrup-filled waffle-cup, one by one, digesting one after another until they were all gone from my plate. Tessa looked at me like I was a pig and then went back to eating her waffle.
She put butter and blueberries on top of hers. The blueberries kept falling off like racecar drivers trying to finish their lap, but she kept putting them back up one by one. Eventually, she put the blueberries into the holes and then ate the waffle piece by piece. I played on my phone.
"I heard that Beyonce is coming around here next week!" Tessa said. "I'm going to book us tickets.
As Tessa picked up her phone, my instincts pushed her phone down with both my hands.
"I think that we should explore New York." I said. "Not watch other people sing to us."
She pouted again by folding her shoulders and then lowering her eyebrows in annoyance.
"But when is the next time you're going to get the offer to see the queen Beyonce?"

A/N: Hello everyone. I usually don't put author's notes on chapters of my writing, but here I am. this is a Jonas Brothers fanfiction that I am writing. Chapters will be posted daily at no certain time of day. I like to write, and I think of it as a hobby.
This fan fiction was an idea that my friend came up with for me to write. I agreed to it and here it is. This is chapter four and there are so many more chapters to come of this fanfiction. As chapters are being released, critiques are very appreciated, and more writing techniques are allowed to be mentioned in these comments.
I appreciate the votes people are giving this story, as this is the first fan fiction I have ever composed.
If you are interested in my non fanfiction writings, I am releasing chapters of Wish I Never Met You every week on Fridays at NOON. First chapter out TODAY!
