(1) the start of the chaos

i was crying. again.

i made sure to lock the door.sigh. i had just thought about my mother again..

then i heard a knock.

"Not right now!" i said. i made sure to act as confident as ever. Scaramouche doesn't cry..

"No breakfast? Cmon scaramouche!!" It's was Signora.

"No. Not today, leave.." I replied. it's okay, signora is better than anyone else knocking.

"Fine scaramouche.. but there's waffles.. your missing out!"

Waffles were my favorite, and Signora asked me once, so she knew. Signora knew the most about me, because she asked a lot of questions. If someone asked me questions, i didn't answer, but signora gave me mora for some.

then i heard another knock.

"Scaramouche.", it was dottore.

thankfully, by now my tears had gone, and i regained my normal self.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT" i yelled. i don't like dottore.

the door was still closed and locked. i was on my bed, sitting up, and annoyed.

"Someone's grumpy today! I was just stopping by. you have a meeting with the tsaritsa."

UGH. now, i have to get up. ughhhhhh

So i did, i got up and got changed. I put my normal clothing on, and a coat. And my hat.

I unlocked the door, and i went to visit the Tsaritsa.I knocked on her office before i went in.

"Hello, Scaramouche."

her voice still sends chills down my spine.

"Hello. What.. do you want me to do?"I nervously replied. Why am i so nervous around her..?

"I need you to go to Sumeru. There is a forest ranger there.. or watcher. His name is Tighnari, and you need to tell him to give you the samples that had been made, for the Fatui."

She explained that quite slow, as if I could not keep up.

But i was thinking.. I had never been to Sumeru before.

"I will. Today?"

"Yes, you may pack and go now. Tell Childe to visit me."

Ughhhh. Childe?! i groaned internally. It's okay i just need to tell him something. I exited her office.

Sumeru is something different though. I know it's hot there so I should pack for hot temperatures. If i was feeling it, i could go the long way to visit both Mondstadt and Liyue. Though, i had already been there.. and it would be much faster to go through the sea.

Okay where's childe.. at breakfast?

I walked to the large dinner table with some of the fatui harbingers.. no childe. i should ask signora.

"Signora..?" i asked hesitantly

"Oh scaramouche!! You are never the one to talk to me first! What is it? What's wrong?"

that got me a little embarrassed, because of what i was talking her for.

"I just thought i might today.. the tsarista asked me to find childe to get him to her office. do you know.. where he is?"

Why did i ask her for archons sake. i dont ask people anything.. that's embarrassing! that's low!

"Oh? Childe?" she asked that in a tone that made me get angry.

"ITS FOR THE- tsaritsa.." i managed to calm myself down.

"Okay okay. Childe is in his room, as usual."

I just left to find his room, no way I was going to ask for any more questions. At the same time.. I don't know where his room is and i really don't want to.

I found MY room, but that's not the goal. I looked around.. Dottore's room was the closest to me, still far away. Where is childe's?!

After going up stairs, going back down, and up again, i found it in a corner. The door had a giant narwhal on it, and on top it said, "Childe".

And so I opened the door.

"Ah!" he yelled.

What the fuck. His shirt is off.

"Knock next time..? Oh hi scara."

I looked away to not show how red my face was. And to not make it look like I was staring.

"It's scaramouche. The tsarista wants you." My tone was harsh.

"Oh so you already went?"

I did already go to her.

"Yes. Now go." I was getting more angry by the second, and moving away from the door. "And change."

"Heh. I just wanted to know what task you got." Childe said, or asked?

"I'm not telling you." I said and stomped away.

I went to my room to quickly pack. I had this little bag, i just put some extra clothes in it. i brought my harbinger badge, so that the man i needed to talk to would know I'm the real deal.

Shit. What was the man's name? i know sumeru.. forest watcher...i stood still for a minute, trying to think.

it started in a "T".. tartaglia? NO.

Whatever, i need to go.

As i left the building, I heard someone jumping excitedly. I was curious and looked back.

It was childe. Ugh.

i heard a bystander asking him why he was JUMPING like a dog..

"I'm going to Sumeru!!!!" childe replied

FUCK.

At that instant i just ran for it. The faster i get there the better. Don't want to see childe, want to get the mission over with.
