17:00, 16 June 2025Piper lay across her bed as she dropped her pen down onto the page of her notebook. She scanned over the multiply little dots, she'd created before she sighed.
Moving her work out of the way, she lay her face down on her arms as she looked around her room.
Her mom and dad were out and the house was quiet. She sat up a little, grabbed her phone and as she unlocked it, she heard a couple of knocks at her front door.
She frowned before she got up and made her way downstairs. Once she got to the door, she turned the handle and yanked it as her knees almost gave way.
"Hey shorty." Yoongi smiled at her.
He stood tall, with his hair a little wavy looking. He was wearing his typical style of ripped baggy jeans and a shirt. His chain link necklace breaking up the black clothing.
Piper opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out.
"I hope I'm not interrupting your day." He then glanced into her house before looking back at her.
"No, uh I'm not doing anything. What can I do for you?" She asked him.
"Well, the house is empty and Mimi is out with Namjoon on their..." He stopped as he rolled his eyes with a smile.
Piper giggled. "Their date." She finished for him.
"Yeah, their little date." He chuckled as he shook his head.
"Don't be such a spoil sport about it." Piper mocked as she sighed.
"I am far from it to be honest, I just like being a little dramatic." He told her. "Anyway, I thought if you weren't doing anything, maybe we could go get some food?" He asked.
"Um..." Piper glanced back into her house. "I mean, I'm not really dressed...but I could make you food?" She suggested.
Yoongi looked at her, as she stood with her leggings and an oversized hoodie. He couldn't help but smile at her.
"I don't want you to make me food, I want to buy you food." He nodded. "There's nothing wrong with a comfy outfit. As long as you're wearing clothes." He turned his face away as he smirked a little.
Piper's face felt hot as her mouth hung open a little.
"Come on, we can get some shitty food and stay in the car." He lifted his hand and raised it towards his jeep that was parked on the sidewalk.
"That sounds so inviting..." Piper mocked as she folded over her arms.
Yoongi sighed as he took another step up towards her.
"Would you go into a restaurant and eat?" He raised his eyebrows and smiled.
Piper stared at him before she glanced down at herself and sighed. "Okay, can we get fast food?"
Yoongi laughed at her as he nodded. "We can get fast food."
Piper grinned at him before she turned to the little shoe storage box by her front door and quickly pulled on her converse.
"I need to get my purse - "
"You don't need your purse." Yoongi told her.
"How am I going - "
"You're not paying for anything, come on." He nodded.
"Yoongi." Piper pushed.
"Piper!" Yoongi widened his eyes as he stared at her. He then casually held out his hand, waiting for her.
Piper sighed as she grabbed her keys from the little basket, on the shelf before she exited her house.
"You're a pain in the ass." She whispered to herself with a smile as she locked up. When she turned around, he was waiting half way down her little path before he looked at her and continued to walk to his jeep.
He opened the passenger side door for her and smiled. She hadn't been in the passenger side with him, mostly because Naomi was always with them and that was her spot.
"Thanks, kind sir." Piper mocked as she giggled, climbing up and sitting in place before she reached for her seatbelt. She discreetly watched Yoongi make his way over, as he checked the road and ruffled his fingers through his hair as he done so.
Clicking her belt into place, Yoongi opened his door and got in before quickly turning on the engine.
Yoongi pulled on his own seat belt and then reached forward and pressed the touch screen on the front of his car. It came alive as he double checked the nearest fast food place.
"Do want some music on?" He asked, glancing at her before indicating out of his parking spot.
"Sure, I don't mind who you put on." She told him as he looked out his window and pulled away from the side walk, one hand on the wheel as he spun it round.
Piper turned to her window and closed her eyes for a very brief moment. She found everything this boy done, attractive. She had to get a grip.
"How about some Chappell Roan? Or Sabrina?" He asked her, yet his tone was rather mocking. When Piper realized, she tried to hold in her laugh as she looked at him.
"You're hilarious." She rolled her eyes with a smile.
Yoongi chuckled as he pressed the screen once more, and the radio came alive. It was low but it eased the silence.
They drove for about twenty minutes before Yoongi pulled into a drive thru.
"It is surprisingly not as busy, for a weekend." Yoongi commented as he turned to Piper.
"Where do you think Namjoon took Naomi? To also get fast food?" She joked as Yoongi began to laugh.
"That would be hilarious." He nodded at her, as he slowly drove forward behind a car."To be honest though, Namjoon is kind of a snob so he will probably take her somewhere pretty decent." He admitted before tutting a little.
When he saw Piper frowning at him, he shrugged.
"I don't mean a snob, I just mean he's pretty sure of himself. He's confident enough to treat a girl with respect - why do you think I allowed it?"
"Hah! Okay, who are you - Don Vito Corleone?" Piper giggled.
"Always thought I was more of a Tommy." He looked straight a head with a smile.
"...You're not that hot headed." Piper admitted.
The two of them laughed.
"I didn't think you'd remember those movies." He sighed.
"Seriously? I loved them."
The Godfather was one of his favorite movies.
"Okay..." He then trailed off as he narrowed his eyes to look over the large menu board. "If I remember correctly, you prefer chicken tenders with the spicy siracha?" He glanced over at her to see her smiling with a grin.
"Oh they have dragon fruit tea, want to try that?" He asked her with a curious look to him.
"I will try that, thank you." Piper giggled.
"Wanna share some hash browns?" He raised an eyebrow with a grin.
"Go for it." Piper smiled and watched as he chuckled at her reply. Her cheeks began to warm more before she took a breath and sighed.
As they pulled up to the box, Yoongi leaned out his window and waited for someone to speak.
"Hello!" His deep voice answered the girl. "Can we have some chicken tenders with the siracha sauce? A dragon fruit iced tea, a sweetened iced tea, a spicy chicken sandwich...and a share box of hash browns?"
Piper listened as the girl listed some things off.
"Mm." Yoongi would answer with a nod.
That was also a habit of his.
"Thank you!" He then drove forward and then opened up the storage box next to the gear shift and pulled out his card. He paid for the food and drove forward before picking it up from the window.
"Here you go." He told Piper handing over her cup of iced tea and a straw. As he passed it over. Piper grabbed the cup, but with his hand wrapped around it, she could only hold his hand for a brief moment before he let go. She awkwardly cleared her throat, but he didn't react to her touch.
"Now..." He started as he leaned forward and looked around. "Shall we park in the lot, or..."
"Yeah, here will be fine. It's pretty quiet." Piper answered him as she stuck her straw into her drink.
"I love how you'd rather stay here than go home." He chuckled as he pulled into a space and parked before turning off the engine.
"Well the food will go cold by the time we get back, and it's not fair on you because you're driving. We're cool here." Piper shrugged.
