Lan Wangji arrived at Wuxian's home, sneaking in as the angry Jiang Cheng exited the premise. He found Yubin leaving Wuxian's bedroom, arm casted in a stiff plaster, while traces of misfortune in the form of bruises and scratches adorned his forlorn face.

The polite man bowed at the young Detective, surprised by the sudden visit, yet said nothing. Wangji's mind was too clouded with apprehension and worry, he almost ignored Wen Ning's presence, and instead rushed to open Wuxian's door. But it was locked from the inside.

"He does not want any disturbance tonight, Detective Lan." Wen Ning kindly supplied which made the other more frantic.

"I know you have the key. Open it!" Wangji commanded in a fury haste.

The Master's key came to his vision from Wen Ning's tiny hand. Dangling. Clinking. Teasing. Wangji aimed for it but the butler pulled back defiantly. "Are you ready to own the consequences, Detective?" He warned with an unsmiling face, but Wangji was keen to his purpose. He nodded, strong-willed and never been so sure in his entire life.

Wen Ning seemed satisfied, hiding a smile, as he tossed the key to Wangji before he walked away quietly.

Wangji immediately rammed through the keyhole and bolted the door open.

It was dark. His first step on the rough surface gave him a sinking suspicion of how terrible the days had been to his Wei Ying since he had last stayed with him. As Wangji's eyes adapted to the dimness, he had taken in the mess of what the grand sleeping quarter had become. Papers and books were ripped off and scattered around, broken wares strewn on the floor, shattered glasses and bottles were everywhere, even the heavy furnitures were tumbled upside down.

Wangji's anxiety grew and he was bitterly gutted with guilt and self-blame.

Subsequently, he saw light peeking through a slit of a nearby door. With silent and careful steps, Wangji approached and pushed the door wide open.

What graced his sight was Wuxian soaked in the marble tub, upturned empty bottles of champagne and wines surrounded him and decorated his vicinity, while the man's eyes were closed like he was just sleeping.

Wangji rushed in, cupping Wuxian's cheeks, urging him to wake up. "Wei Wuxian!" He called, heart in his throat.

Long lashes fluttered and the slit of the almond eyes opened. Wei Wuxian's eyes were red. His lids a bit puffy. Nonetheless, still a face to admire. The way his eyes were hooded and unfocused only meant what those alcohols did. He was drunk. Too drunk. And yet when he opened his eyes a little more, his vision only lurked on the remaining portion of wine from his drinking bottle.

He pushed himself forward, brushing Wangji off to reach for his booze. When he had the glass in his hand, his eyes caught the pair of amber irises staring at him. His head tilted in contempt. "Your presence is uncalled for. Get lost." He said, voice hoarse, tone unanimated and exhausted as he tipped the liquid into his mouth and shut his eyes back close.

"Wei Ying!" Wangji beseeched, mindlessly uttering the endearment name he had tucked away in his heart. He was hurt yet driven, clutching Wuxian's wrist on his hand, urging for those inky orbs to look at him once more.

Wei Wuxian started to laugh out loud like a maniac. His voice echoed eeriely, ringing into Wangji's ears. It doesn't sound like a happy laugh one bit. It was mocking. Mocking Wangji why he was there when he made it clear that he hated Wuxian and does not need him.

There was a ring of hatred in Wuxian's shrill sound. A drift in air. A foreboding vehement blaze. And it all stopped as he threw the piece of glass and shatter it into tiny pieces against the floor. "Don't touch me, Detective Lan." He pushed Wangji away, eyes dim, face grim. "Leave." He said coldly. "Don't bother with me anymore." He shifted his gaze away and leaned back on the cold tiles, closing his eyes once more.

Without his Wei Ying, what would Lan Zhan be?

Wangji's chest tightened, burdened not just by the harsh words but of how those same words he had screamed at Wuxian weeks ago might've maimed his Wei Ying.

'Have I hurt you this much Wei Ying?' Wangji's eyes stinged. Pangs of guilt and regret crossed his conscience, giving an incessant throb in his heart.

"I'm sorry." Wangji muttered in deep remorse. He knew he was at fault and understood apologies would not suffice.

'Let it out. Let it flow. Let it always guide you.' Wei Ying's very own words when they were young looped in Wangji's mind. The part of his chest where his Wei Ying playfully put his finger to while saying those words tingled and burned. It longs for his Wei Ying's touch.

'Is it wrong to love? Is it stupid to trust and try again?'

Wangji knew better now. The condensed pain of not having Wei Ying by his side is like death to him. He'd rather venture with him through all the odds and take the risks of getting hurt again. If they drift, he will make sure they drift together. He isn't scared to be wounded again. He isn't afraid to bear more scars. He needs him. He loves his Wei Ying. And he won't let their love pass again and be wasted.

The realisation spur Wangji into action. He let his body move. He let his heart be in control.

Splash of water was heard.

Wangji gathered the feeble frame in his arms and kept Wuxian from falling apart any further. "I'm sorry, Wei Ying. I should have been more understanding. I should've believed you." His voice was tender.

The form quivered in his hold. "You hate me." Wuxian's voice cracked, silent sobs impending to break.

Lan Zhan sinked his Wei Ying into his crook, tightening his hold as if afraid that his beloved will disappear. "Not you, Wei Ying." Wangji was calm. "I hated what you did." He said with honesty.

Wuxian peeled his face away from Wangji, eyes seeking the pale orbs which only thaws for him. His lips were trembling, eyes watering, "I-I'm sorry, Lan Zhan!" He mumbled then tears streaked down his face involuntarily despite his attempt to hold them. "I love you! That is true, Lan Zhan!"

"I believe you." Wangji pecked a soft kiss on Wuxian's forehead, cupping the soft cheeks between his calloused palm. "I forgive you, Wei Ying." He whispered then nuzzled his nose on the other. "Will you forgive me too?"

Wuxian's sobs turned louder and more desperate. His cute pout blossomed on his thin pink lips. "I do forgive you, too, Lan Zhan! But you haven't said you love me yet!" His glassy eyes seeked Wangji's. "Don't you love me too, Lan Zhan?"

A lovely smile, rarely seen, bloomed on the plump cherry lips.

"What do you think?" Wangji responded teasingly and before Wuxian can whine, his lips were captured in a slow and deep kiss by the only man he'd given permission to dominate and take him.

Their lips enclosed. Their body tangled in the cramped space of the tub.

Two bodies emerged from the water after minutes of intimate fighting underneath. Their lungs panted for air. What one exhaled, one breathes in. Such was the distance between the two. Lips touched unabashedly, tasting, claiming, ravishing, loving each other's flesh. Their body heat sipped in a shared warmth. Limbs exploring what clothes hide.

Wei Wuxian's body arched, eyes rolled, mouth gasped as Wangji created rhythm only they can produce.

"L-Lan Zhaaan..!" Wuxian moaned as both came undone with Wangji releasing his seeds inside of Wuxian, filling him upto the brim. It felt funny inside of him but Wuxian liked it nevertheless. He liked their connection, loved this intimacy with his Lan Zhan.

His slender body slumped back on Wangji's firm one after riding his orgasm to the end. He loved how Wangji pulled him closer, hand tenderly caressing his bottom and back in an ever-ending voyage.

His throat form a giggle and his lips formed a bright smile. "Lan Zhan!" He purred, sinking again into the crook of Wangji's shoulder while he hid his glowing face on the base of his lover's neck. "You made love to me."

"I did and will again, my bunny." Wangji mumbled beside Wuxian's ears and felt a strong push as Wuxian peeled off his remaining clothes. "Shameless." Wangji grinned which was bartered with a unhurried full mouth kiss from his Wei Ying.

Both smiled through the kiss, encircling their arms around each other's body. "Lan Zhan. Oh, Lan Zhan!" Wuxian chanted in between Wangji's pepper of kisses on his neck and chest as the known impregnable man's possession hardened once more inside of him.

Lan Wangji's body spoke for him. His actions telling Wuxian what his mouth kept in secret.

He wants him too. He loves his Wei Ying the most. There's no denying it.
