Wei Wuxian's name is on the headlines once again. This time, not because of his latest novel selling million copies in an hour, but of his terrifying stalking incident report against an assaulter.

'A man is on the loose stalking the acclaimed writer even invading his private residence in Beijing!'

It was the talk of the town which was even featured in international broadcasting networks. The internet hummed too, online buzzing the Wei's multimillionaire heir's harassment case.

Wei Wuxian's vision roamed his surroundings, particularly scanning for a familiar figure which he could spot even from a great distance. 'He's not here?' His eyes squinted more against the blinds and glass panel which were limiting his line of sight of the officers' cubicles beneath them.

He was too busy with his deed, he was intentionally ignoring all the words said by the head officer of Beijing Police Headquarters. That is until the said grumpy man on his early 30's smashed a tabloid on his desk, making Wei Wuxian alerted and Wen Ning jumped in place. "Of all places! Do you really have to come in here?!" Officer Jiang Cheng gritted his teeth, searing his famous scowl in his face.

Wei Wuxian for him is nothing but a nuisance. Wherever the man shows, he will cause a scene and chaos. His fandom is an annoying case too.

Early that morning, fans and medias were flocking through the entrance of their precint just because of a tip that the infamous Wei Wuxian was heading there to file a formal complaint against the stalker. If Cheng didn't grew up with this mischievous man, he wouldn't even have the notion that all of this might just be another stunt of Wei Wuxian to seek attention. Worse yet, his  next novel's character build up phase, getting in character himself, to inspire his next master piece.

Too much dedication in his art of writing, Wei Wuxian had been a homeless person for a week, a gangster for a month, a craftsman for 6 months, a patisserie chef for a year, a secret agent for two years, and the list goes on, just so he can portray his characters and their experiences as they happen in reality and in natural order. He is a literary realist afterall.

"What do you want now?" Cheng narrowed his eyes on him, slumping his back against his swivel chair, patience quickly running out.

The beam, the wide grin on his cousin's face meant trouble. "You have something that I want." Wei Wuxian sat on the guest's couch, crossing his lengthy legs and leaning back as if he owns the place.

Cheng's eyebrow arched then twitched. "We are dealing with serious cases right now! Children missing! Politicians blackmailed! Murder cases! And here you want me to play with you? Dream on!" He said with finality, standing up and shoving the two disturbances out of his office.

Wei Wuxian's smirk remained intact, solid and firm to his purpose. "I don't need you to play with me, A-Cheng. I want you to give me someone I can play with." Cheng stopped in his tracks. "Lan-Wang-ji." The syllables rolled in Wei Wuxian's tongue playfully.

"Are you nuts!? He's in the homicide department! Totally out of your fake case!"

Cheng cupped his own mouth, eyes wide open as chills ran down his spine. "Homicide?" Wei Wuxian grinned. "Should I kill someone then?"

"Y-You---!" Cheng stuttered, chilled to the bones and couldn't finish his words. "Relax, A-Cheng. I'm just joking." Wei Wuxian laughed at the ugly terrified face of his cousin.

When his amusement stopped, his eyes turned back dark. He then leaned on Cheng's ear with a grim warning. "I can pull strings, you know that. What I want, I will have. There's no stopping me."

"Wei Wuxian!" Cheng snarled but Wei Wuxian ignored him once again, waving his hand while his back was already on Cheng's face. Wen Ning politely bowed at the officer, handing him a folder of the alleged stalking case. 'He even compiled notes and evidences of lies!' Cheng huffed as he slammed his door shut.

"I should've known he wouldn't help me. Such a boring man." Wei Wuxian lopsidedly smirked, walking with light steps and long strides which were too beautiful to be ignored. He is tall, 6 ft 2", lean and slim, with a handsome-pretty face. He is clothed with luxurious brands from head to toe, styled and dressed in lavish and expensive clothings. His aura screams power and wealth and his stature shows unyielding confidence. Eyes watched him, adored him, envied him just like always.

Just when they were leaving, the man he came for arrived.

Detective Lan Wangji.

Wei Wuxian stood-still, paralysed and unmoving, as he watched the world moved in slow motion, eyes glued at the attractive man whose features were comparable only to perfect heavenly beings. Pale skin, amber eyes, long dark lashes, soft brown hair which sways with his every move. 'Ethereal.' Lan Wangji is a God in human form.

Their eyes got caught in a swift tangle. One soft and mesmerised, the other? cold and impregnable.

Words flooded Wei Wuxian's mind. Words of poetry. New thoughts. Strange feelings. One emotion.

"Sandalwood." Wei Wuxian mouthed as Lan Wangji passed by him. He was ignored, nevertheless. Yet, his desire only burned greater than ever.

He turned and followed Lan Wangji's trail with his gaze, smile broadening, accepting the challenge. "I'll see you later, Lan Zhan." Wei Wuxian said an ear shot away from Lan Wangji which made the other halt briefly before resuming his pace.
