Epilogue

19:58, 16 June 2025

2 years later

It was the end of the day and Leah had just finished her papers for Joshua Nott, a seventh year Ravenclaw, who wanted to go to a muggle university, when an eagle Patronus appeared in her office.

"Fleur is in labour." Bill excited and terrified voice spoke through the bird. "We're at St. Mungo's, it will happen at any time." And the Patronus disappeared through the wall.

Leah dropped the letter in her hands and jumped up, getting her coat from the hanger and put it on in a hurry. She turned to look at her desk and with a wave of her wand send the paperwork to the right office. She wasn't even fully out of her office when she bumped into Hermione.

"She's having the baby!" They both yelled trough the empty hall.

"I was just coming to get you." Leah chuckled and turned to her own fireplace. "Let's go." She pulled Hermione with her and called out for St. Mungo's and they both disappeared behind the green flames. They stepped out of the fireplace of the hospital, right into the waiting room, that was already filled with red heads. "Any news?"

"No, not yet. Come sit down, we just got here." Molly smiled and padded the open seat between her and Fred. She dropped down between them and leaned over to kiss Fred's cheek before turning to Molly.

"Your first grandchild, how do you feel?" She reached over to take her hand in hers.

"I'm so excited, with everyone out of the house except for Ron, it's been too quiet. I can't wait for more little ones to come in and start running a mock in the house." She smiled and gave her a wink.

"I'm sure there will be more to come." She glanced over to Odilia, who had a protective hand over her belly. She heard Molly gasp next to her as she figured it out. "They don't know I know, so don't say anything. They'll come forward when they are ready."

"How did you find out?" She whispered, taking her eyes of her daughter-in-law.

"Little things." She shrugged. "Hand placements on her belly, the not drinking is a big one."

"I saw her drinking just last week."

"No." She chuckled quietly, shaking her head. "She always put a glamour on her glasses, making it look like she's drinking wine."

"Clever." Molly smiled.

They all turned when they heard Bill's voice screaming through the hall. "It's a girl! It's a girl!" Everyone jumped up from their seats and went to congratulate him. Bill's smile never wavered; it was so big Leah thought it might get stuck like that.

"Can we go see them?" Molly asked.

"Yes, but maybe not too many people at once."

"You guys go first." Leah started and Hermione, Harry and Odilia agreed.

"Are you sure?" Fred asked, his hand taking her hand softly, his thumb stroking the back.

"Yes, family first. We don't want to overwhelm them. We'll just wait here." She kissed him quickly and pushed him towards his family with a smile. The Weasley family was in there for at least an hour, before Molly came out first, mumbling something about getting the cottage ready before she disappeared in the floo. Another five minutes later the rest started to trickle out and Bill rested his hand on Leah's shoulder, making her look up with a raised eyebrow.

"Fleur wants to see you." He looked from her to the other three. "Sorry, it will just take a moment." But the others just waved it off and Leah went to follow Bill to Fleur's room. While she made her way to Fleur, Bill stepped back out of the room and closed the door behind her softly.

"Hi, Fleur." She smiled, taking the witches hand in hers as she sat down on the bed. "How are you?"

"That's why I wanted to talk to you." She smiled placing her free hand over hers. "Everyone fusses over the baby first, but you came straight to me, asking how I'm doing."

"Well, you just gave birth. It's hard and demanding on your body, I need to know my friend is safe." She said sincerely.

Over the past two years, the women had gotten close. Yes, Hermione and Leah were still close, and Fleur got along with the others too. But there was something that shifted in their friendship when Bill went away for a few weeks for work. It was then that it changed, the second day Bill had left, she came over with a casserole and a good chick-flick. But only to find her bleeding on the bathroom floor, having a miscarriage. No one knew that she went through something so horrific, expect for her and Bill. Something Fleur wanted to keep between the two of them, but she convinced her to tell her husband. But ever since then, they had been closer, much to everyone's surprise as they didn't know what happened overnight, but they never said anything about it. She was there with every step during this pregnancy, making sure she was okay. And when Bill went away on a work trip, she invited Fleur to stay over at her house, which she happily accepted every time.

"I'm good, I promise. Tired but happy." Fleur smiled. She let one of her hands go and reached over for the crib next to her, pulling it closer, revealing a small sleeping bundle with blonde hair.

"She's beautiful." Leah gasped as she looked at the baby. "What's her name?"

"Victoire."

"Oh, you chose one of the names on my list." Leah said surprised with a grin.

"To be fair, it was on my list too." Fleur pointed out with a laugh. "Do you want to hold her?"

"No, she's asleep. I don't want to wake her."

"It's fine. I want you to be the first one to hold her, beside me and Bill."

"Molly?" She quirked an eyebrow.

"Non."

"Wow." Leah said, taken aback from the gesture. She leaned over the bed and gently took the baby from her crib. The little button nose crunched up for a moment at the movement but kept sleeping. "Hi, little Victoire. I'm Leah."

"Auntie Leah." Fleur corrected. "You might not be married to Fred, but it is as good as and besides-"

"We want to ask you to be her godmother." Bill's voice came from behind her. She didn't hear him come back and startled a bit, but the baby slept on.

"You're fu- you're joking." She corrected before she cursed in front of the newborn.

"We're definitely not joking. Charlie already agreed to be the godfather."

Leah looked stunned from Bill to Fleur and back, their faces nothing but sincere. "I would love to."

"Thank you, Leah." Fleur said as she clambered out of bed. Bill at her side in an instant.

"Fleur, what are you doing? You should stay in bed." Leah chastised the new mother.

"Actually, the healer said that walking around is good for me. And I need to be able to walk around on my own before I can go home."

"Hm." Leah pursed her lips. "Fine, but don't let go of your hubby, alright."

"Alright." Fleur chuckled; her arm looped with Bill's.

"Do you want to hold your perfect little daughter?" She asked Bill.

"No, I have my hands full with my lovely wife. You can be the one to show of our daughter."

Leah smiled as she rolled her eyes, letting the couple walk out the door first. She heard all the others rise from their seats, asking if everything was okay, asking about the baby because they couldn't see Leah holding her right behind them.

"Everything is fine." Bill calmed them down. "Victoire is with her godmother."

"Godmother?" The group asked and at that moment, Leah stepped out from behind them, showing of the little bundle in her arms. Hermione, Harry and Odilia were cooing over the baby first, but she didn't pay any attention. Her eyes were locked on Fred's, who was looking at her with even more love than usual, if that was even possible. Fred's heart filled with love as he saw his girlfriend appear with a baby in her arms, today a godmother and hopefully in a not-too-distant future a mother. He heard the others congratulate Leah, but he was so immersed with her he didn't hear full sentences.

That night in bed, Leah was going over some potions notes while Fred climbed into bed. She had finished all of her lessons a year ago, but potions was something that kept expanding, getting new developments, so she tried to keep up with it. Working with the twins, Horrace and even Hermione from time to time. George and Hermione had moved into the flat together about two months ago, after George and Fred finally could let each other go without any panic attacks.

Last year the history books had changed and added Fred and Leah to the accounts on blood scars and what they found out themselves was all written with it, without their names being mentioned, of course. They still didn't know all the answers, but they added everything they could to the book for when it was needed in the future, to hopefully help others.

The profits she made from her game, she donated to several charities around the UK as she didn't need any of it herself. She was now working on her second game with the help of the twins, who gave her different ideas on how to make it better. She had to ask permission on the Wizengamot to create it, as it was a game about wizards and witches. And after deliberating for over two months, they finally agreed to let her create it as long that names and places were changed.

She put her notes on the bedside table and snuggled onto Fred's bare chest, her hand over his thumping heart as the fingers of her other hand traced the crescent moon on his palm.

"Good night, love." Fred whispered against her lips, his eyes already falling shut from exhaustion.

"Good night, Freddie." She kissed his chest and laid her head down. It was silent for a moment before she whispered. "It's later."

First, she thought Fred had fallen asleep or didn't understand. But she felt his heart skip a beat under her ear, before thrumming fast against it while his grip around her waist tightened. She looked up to see him staring at her, his eyes blown wide open.

"Marry me." His voice barely a whisper.

"Yes." She breathed out before their lips crashed against each other.
