The Eye awaits

Kat walked alongside Danny, hand in hand with Henley and Merritt ahead slightly. They walked the deserted pathways through Central Park.

The park itself was eerily quite considering it was closed. The trees dead still, casting dark shadows across the land. The only light was provided by Danny flashlight and a lamp post every now and then.

The four came to a stop at a large gate blocking their entrance.

Henley attempted to open the grates, rattling them for a few seconds. A length of chain was wrapped around the grates holding them closed with a large padlock.

"It's locked." Henley concluded.

"Yeah no shit." Kat responds examining the lock.

Henley threw her a look to which Kat shrugged her shoulders innocently.

Footsteps echoed on the other side of the gate. All four look up, Kat squinting her eyes at the incoming figure.

"Weren't you listening nothing's ever locked."

Jack came into view smiling as he came to a stop at the gate. Kat grinned at the boy.

Henley clapped.

"Well done Mr Wilder, good work!"

"You're a big boy now Jack."

"Well done Jack." Kat patted his shoulder as he unlocked the padlock and undid the chains. The gates swinging open.

The four made their way through the gates, joining Jack inside before continuing on their way.

They stumbled across a huge tree. The group made their way around it. Jack, Merritt and Daniel thinking nothing of it.

"What if all this was just leading up to us getting mugged at Central Park at 2am?" Merritt complained.

The boys continued on while Kat and Henley decided to take a closer look at the tree shinning their flashlights. Kat's eyes widened upon seeing a card in cased in glass.

"The Lionel Shrike Tree." Kat whispered barely audible in amazement.

"No I'm telling you were right where we need to be, we just need to find-"

"That" Henley interrupted.

The boys turned around looking at where the girls attention was focused on.

Danny shone his flashlight on the tree, illuminating the plaque, in bold letters was a name Lionel Shrike.

"The Lionel Shrike Tree." Danny spoke upon realisation.

"And the card in cased in glass." Henley added on.

The group edged closer, Henley Kat and Danny shinning their flashlights on the card imbedded in glass.

"What do we do now?" Merritt asked not knowing what to do.

Kat reached into her pocket pulling out her card. Realisation struck, the others followed pulling out their cards.

Henley placed hers over Kat's it was as if it were magnetic or something. The cards stuck to each other one after the other. Jack placed his on last, the now single card in Kat's hand changed. The eye appeared on the cards. The five smiling in amazement.

Kat going on instinct walked closer to the tree. She waved the card in front of the card in cased in glass. The card glowed within the glass. Kat lost for thoughts at the beauty of it. Her mouth slightly open in amazement as her eyes were glued to the glowing King of hearts.

A carousel to their right began lighting up, the cheerful music playing throughout the air as the carousel began to move, going round in circles. The makeshift animals moving up and down.

Kat furrowed her eyebrows in confusion looking to Danny who shrugged his shoulder in response. They moved towards the carousel.

As they moved closer to the entrance of the carousel, a figure came into view. They moved closer cautiously the mans face becoming clearer and clearer.

Kat stopped dead in her tracks. Her eyes wide. Her brain only able to comprehend two words.

"Holy shit." She breathed out.

"Oh my god."

"I did not see that coming, that's impossible." Merritt stated shocked.

Dylan Rhodes stood in front of the carousel. That's cheeky bastard he actually managed to trick them.

The group walked closer.

"No way." Jack breathed out still shocked.

"That's was actually.....pretty good." Danny stated matter of factly.

"Pretty good? Danny that was amazing." Kat exclaimed.

"Thank you." Dylan said gratefully.

"When I said always be the smartest guy in the room" Danny stated, "We were in agreement." Dylan answered, nodding.

Dylan turned towards Henley who stood their smiling like an idiot lost for words.

"Henley." Dylan spoke.

She just smiled at him. Kat chuckled at her.

"I've never seen her speechless." Danny smiled down at her.

"I'll take that as a huge compliment." Dylan concludes smiling as he reached out and shook her hand. She smiled at him still lost for words.

"Uh man I am so sorry for kicking you're ass really." Jack admits sympathetically.

Dylan chuckles at the boy. Kat guessed he was forgiven.

"Hey listen for the record I have alway been a 100% believer in the amount of energy I have spending to keep these infidels on point-"

At this Kat scoffed and smacked his arm. Henley glared at Merritt before smacking his arm two. Kat and Henley then laughed together.

"Merritt you're in." Dylan reassured him.

"God bless."

Dylan looked towards Kat and stepped toward her extending his hand.

"And of course the lovely Katherine." He stated.

Kat smiled at the compliment and shook his hand.

"You know," she began, "There's not many people who can trick me." She stated smirking.

"Well I guess I have some skills then."

He looked at the five.

"Come."

He turned around making his way inside to the carousel which continued to spin around and around.

"The real magic is taking five strong solo acts and making them all work together." Dylan stated coming at a stop in front of the barrier placed in front of the carousel.

"And that's exactly what you did."

He moved, opening a small gate which put him on the other side of the rails.

"So welcome....welcome to The Eye." He stated and then jumped on the carousel, his hand had a tight grip on the pole at it took him around.

He disappeared out of sight, Henley gasped upon seeing him gone and jumped the rails along with Jack and Merritt eager to join The Eye.

Kat quickly jumped over the rails as Danny went through the gate. She slipped her hand into his as they watched the carousel go round.

"This is it," she whispered to Danny who looked at her lovingly, she smiled at him, "The Eye awaits." She grinned as the other hopped on disappearing from sight.

"Then what are we waiting for."

He stated smiling as he pulled her with him onto the carousel. Kat laughed in surprise and joy as they held onto the poles, before disappearing all together into.....

ITS FINISHED!!!! How's that for a final chapter!!! I just want to say that I've had the best best writing this fanfic and allowing you guys to know Kat more. I just love her she's so unique and funny and I'm so glad that you guys enjoyed reading about her and the five horsemen in general. You guys are literally the best!!!! You're so sweet and kind with you're encouraging word in the comments and all the votes and I'm so sad this book has come to an end. But like Merritt said this has been one hell of a ride.

Now I've got some excited new which I will tell you all about in an authors note shortly after this chapter. And u guys are going to be going crazy 😝
